This modern, ergonomic helm impresses with bow thruster controls, a Raymarine E120 multi-function display screen, throttles, a steering wheel, hand-held VHF radio, a high-speed compass and electro-hydraulic trim tab switches.

Heading down to the lower deck you are bound to be surprised by the sheer spaciousness on offer. Lined in veneered warm cherrywood with sedate carpeting underfoot, there is an L-shaped leather sofa soft enough to sink into, an extending timber-topped table and an open galley with granite countertops, a microwave combination oven, a steel sink, a two-zone hob, fridge-freezer units and plenty of secure storage. Two private and enclosed staterooms aboard this vessel provide overnight space for four guests, with a double VIP cabin to the bow featuring a skylight, a lavish en-suite with a shower and a cedar-lined closet. The owner’s stateroom sits to aft and boasts full-beam dimensions, a side sofa, two closets, triple hull mullions and a bathroom with an enclosed shower cubicle.

A pair of 715HP Volvo Penta D12 diesels fire the 520 Express to top speeds well in excess of 30 knots with smooth and consistent cruising speeds clocking in at around 25 knots. A 500-gallon fuel tank keeps enough in reserve for long-haul trips traversing the Florida Keys or an extended tour of the Aegean Sea.
