Captain Glenn Shephard Reacts to Erica Rose’s Low Tip: “It Was an Intentional Slight”

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht boss has a theory on why this group of charter guests was not so generous with their gratuity.

below deck sailing yacht season 3 guests erica

After the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew had to endure charter guest complaints about Chef Marcos Spaziani 's cooking and clean the Parsifal III 's stained white couch , the yachties were hoping for a nice tip to match all the work they put into Erica Rose's charter earlier this season. But that is not at all what they got.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Sailing Yacht on Peacock and the Bravo app .

During the tip meeting in the March 14 episode , Captain Glenn Shephard revealed that the charter guests had left the crew a total of $6,500 in tip, which came to $720 for each crew member. "I don't personally feel that this tip reflects the quality of service that we gave these guys," Captain Glenn told the Parsifal III crew before revealing the tip amount. "You guys worked really hard, and you pulled out all the stops to make this the best charter for them."

Daisy Kelliher , who had been vocal about not being a fan of Erica and her group of charter guests coming aboard the Parsifal III again this season , also didn't hold back her feelings about the tip in an interview during the episode. "F--k my f--king life. I honestly think I'm about to burst into tears. I'm not OK right now," the chief stew said. "They could've tipped us 30 grand, 40 grand, 50 grand. No money in the world would make me happy to work for people like that. I just don't think people like that deserve nice things."

Ever the optimist, Captain Glenn reminded the crew to be thankful that they received something and not let it get them down with many more charters to go this season. "It's still better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick," he told the yachties. "It's a reflection on them, and, you know, regardless of this tip, I think we had a great start to our season."

Captain Glenn had perhaps a less diplomatic take on the tip when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 25. Host Andy Cohen read one fan's question for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht boss: "Glenn, did you buy charter guest Erica's public apology on social media for leaving y'all a bad tip, or was it an intentional slight?"

"I think it was an intentional slight," Captain Glenn replied. "They probably felt some of the stuff said online after their first charter [in Season 2] wasn't cool, and they decided that they were gonna come back. And I think they decided at the beginning they weren't gonna give us a good tip."

Though we found out on WWHL last month that the white couch Erica's mom, Cindi Rose, got self-tanner all over is looking good as new these days , it's going to take a while for the Parsifal III yachties to scrub their memories of this charter. Daisy recalled this group of charter guests being "pretty awful" during that appearance on WWHL in March and said that receiving the low tip "was an interesting experience."

Colin MacRae also won't soon forget Erica's charter group. "It was one of the more unpleasant charters we did," he told The Daily Dish earlier this season. "That charter with Erica Rose was f--king horrendous. And they came on just so disrespectful. I felt really bad for Daisy. It was awful. And Erica's husband is not a very nice human being, in my opinion."

below deck sailing yacht season 3 guests erica

The chief engineer added how disappointed he was to hear the harsh criticism of Marcos' cooking from Erica's husband. "He's the best chef I've ever worked with in 14 years on super yachts, and I've worked with some really top-quality chefs," Colin said. "So, yeah, what Erica's husband was saying about his food was just outrageous."

5 things to know about Below Deck charter guest Erica Rose

Below Deck guests are notorious for their demanding lists, but Erica Rose and her party took it to a new level in the latest episode, pushing the crew to their limits. Erica is a familiar face on reality television, particularly on the Below Deck yacht. Known for being one of the most demanding and low-tipping guests to ever board the ship, the crew wasn't thrilled to see her return to their quarters.

In season 2 of the sailing show, Erica, her mom Cindy, and a group of friends embarked on Parsifal III. They proved to be a demanding and high-maintenance bunch. Erica didn't hesitate to repeatedly voice her complaints to Captain Glenn Shephard about the crew's performance. Additionally, the group was in constant internal conflicts, adding a touch of irony to their women's empowerment night.

Despite her previous boisterous behavior during her initial yacht charter, Erica made a return for a second trip, stirring up just as much drama. This has left fans of the show questioning the identity of Erica and how she found herself in a position to rent a luxury yacht not once but twice.

5 things you need to know about Erica Rose

1. erica's early life.

Erica, a Texas native , lives in Houston with her husband, raising their children. Despite her love for travel, she shows no inclination to leave Texas, indicating a strong connection to her hometown.

After attending Emory College, Erica Rose graduated with a dual major in English and Creative Writing and a minor in Theater. Despite her academic background, she chose a career in law rather than pursuing writing or acting.

Following her time at The University of Houston Law Center, Erica excelled as a young lawyer, earning numerous honors and accolades. Eventually, she established her own law firm.

2. Erica's career and excellence

Beyond her reality TV fame, Erica Rose has a thriving career off-camera . Serving as a partner in her law firm alongside her husband, she actively shares legal advice on social media. She has also provided insights on high-profile cases like Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's defamation trial.

Erica gained fame on The Bachelor , entering with a bejeweled tiara for Prince Lorenzo. However, she was eliminated after three weeks. The lawyer later appeared on VH1's You're Cut Off! She became a standout charter guest on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Erica takes pride in her professional growth, transcending her initial recognition from The Bachelor 's tiara-wearing contestant.

3. Erica's family and her bond with them

Erica Rose, a mother to daughters Aspen and Holland, prioritizes their well-being. Despite her TV appearances, she shields them from negativity, managing their Instagram accounts to curate a positive online presence while focusing on providing a memorable childhood.

While fans critique aspects of Below Deck , Erica Rose's husband, Charles, stirred real drama on the show, complaining about breakfast and other ship issues. An attorney like his wife, Charles, faced backlash on social media for his behavior during the charter. He shares his legal expertise on car accidents on Instagram, showcasing his Rolex collection and selfies.

Cindy, Erica's mom, played a pivotal role in their memorable charter on Below Deck . Her demanding nature and food preferences sparked intrigue among fans. Beyond the show, Cindy is a successful silhouette artist with a history of working in Disneyland. She channels the proceeds from her art to support women affected by breast cancer.

4. Erica's body-positive stance

Erica Rose is candid about her cosmetic procedures, sharing on social media that she has undergone veneers, Botox, filler injections, and regular facials for skincare maintenance. Erica embraces transparency, unlike some reality stars who keep their plastic surgery discreet.

Taking a body-positive stance, she aims to normalize the choice of getting work done for those seeking enhancements that contribute to their confidence and well-being.

5. Erica's reaction to the drama from Below Deck

Despite apologizing for the low tip and her husband's actions on Below Deck , Erica has expressed her weariness with the backlash on her Instagram account. However, she and Charles continue engaging with and sharing reactions to the show and viewer posts, indicating they are still capitalizing on the publicity.

Final thoughts

Joining the Parsafil crew for a mini-getaway in Croatia, Erica Rose and her friends proved to be more demanding than anticipated, leading to some tension. The crew, including second stewardess Dani, faced challenges, with one guest even requesting a massage to cope with the stress of being constantly surrounded by friends on the yacht.

The OG Below Deck season 11 will be released on Bravo in February 2024 at 9 pm ET. Similarly, Below Deck Med season 9, season 3 of Below Deck Down Under , and season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are also awaiting release.

Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher Unpacks ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 3 Ahead of Finale

Daisy Kelliher in Below Deck Sailing Yacht - Season 3

Daisy Kelliher started Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht with the mindset that she wasn’t going to take any “you know what” from anyone. That proved challenging for the chief stew as she ventured through turbulent waters aboard Parsifal III.

The luck of the Irish wasn’t always smiling on Kelliher as she managed professional and personal conflicts within her department, initially between second stew Gabriela Barragan and third stew Ashley Marti. That was until the environment was too much for Barragan, which led to Scarlett Bentley filling the position as a junior stew.

Adding to the drama was first mate Gary King , whose flirty ways didn’t make things any easier. With wedding bells ringing for guests on the final charter and the season finale on the horizon, we caught up with Daisy to unpack what we’ve seen so far and to get some burning questions answered.

Pretty crazy that the crew had to plan for a wedding with so little time.

Daisy Kelliher: It was definitely a lot. At the same time, I’ve been doing this for 10 years, so I was kind of like, “Whatever, we’re going to either do it or not.” I’ve reached a point in my career where stressing about it won’t help. I have confidence. We can only do what we can do within 24 hours, but it turned out to be pretty incredible.

Gary was at the center of a lot of the issues you faced in your department. Looking back, how difficult was that?

I think I came in pretty confident and went in with a way I wanted to handle everything. It did not work. People are going to do what they are going to do. The Gary part was very difficult for me because I feel like I really pushed his support away last season. I tried to take a different approach with him this time. I tried to be softer. It didn’t seem like either approach worked. It was a massive struggle within my team, but it was a great learning curve and growth for me. Me and Gary, I think had a better relationship this season. It’s not all Gary. It’s the girls too. Work-wise the girls were incredible, but it wasn’t about work all the time.

Do you feel like you could have done anything differently to prevent Gabriela from leaving mid-season?

I see the comments. I know a lot of people feel it was my problem or issue with Gabriela crumbling. I don’t agree with that. I stand by the fact I did my absolute best. Gabriela is the same age as me. I think it was a lot in her head. Someone may be a bit paranoid or feel that everyone is against them, but there is not much I can say or do. It was a personal inner growth she needed to work on.

Captain Glenn Shephard Talks Tense Situation in 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3

Captain Glenn Shephard Talks Tense Situation in 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3

You certainly had your share of difficult charter guests. Erica Rose came back. Then you had a very demanding charter with Dr. Kim Nichols. How was it reliving these experiences?

Nobody believes me, but it was actually worse in real life than on the edited, compressed [version]. People experienced that for an hour. We got a full three days of it. Rewatching it was funny. They are not awful people. Everyone has a good heart. Them screaming my name as I ran around, maybe they didn’t realize the impact. I’m a human as well. I don’t know how they felt watching. I look back and laugh because I can’t believe I lived through it and that happened. It was all a bit surreal.

Ashley felt she should have been higher up on the stew hierarchy. It came up again when Scarlett came on board and you decided to make both junior stews. Did it make you rethink having a second and third stew?

I think it was important for me to show the girls we are a team. I did try to explain to Ashley, which didn’t get aired, that in the yachting industry the only reason we have a second stew is to have a platform to move forward. It’s motivational, but it’s not there to boss people around or be above someone else. It was important to me that she understood that by the end of the season. It massively made me think about what I’m going to do next time. Maybe I’ll make everyone a junior stew.

When it comes to your relationship with Gary, everyone seems to chime in including Captain Glenn Shephard . What do you make of the infatuation between you two?

I knew at the time during the season that my big storyline was going to be me and Gary. I very much predicted what story was going to be told. The people behind the scenes explained that the chemistry between us was so intense. The whole boat could feel it. I was prepared for what was going to happen. I was surprised with how obsessed everyone is with us being a couple. I thought everyone would be against it. We are just friends. I hate to tell everyone that, but there is nothing more to it. Just very flirtatious.

For now. Never say never. Last year there was no way I would have said I was going to kiss him. So that was surprising.

Do you feel seeing him flirting with all the girls was the turnoff?

Massively. I was the first girl in the first season he hit on. It didn’t air, but I brushed him off straight away. Other people commented saying since I didn’t give him that attention, he looked for it elsewhere. I thought that was an interesting point. Fair enough, but as soon as he went off with Sydney [Zaruba] and Alli [Dore] and now Ashley and Gabriela — yeah, maybe things would have ended differently if he continued to pursue me, but he didn’t. We’ll never know.

How would you sum up the season?

I thought it was hard to top season 2 because so much happened. This season has been such a roller coaster of emotions. So much happened in season 3. For me, it was a lot of ups and downs. Like last season, the aim for me was to come out on a high with a strong team and loving friendship. It was a massive success. That’s the fun in the show, having the audience come with us. There were points where maybe they thought, “Are we going to make it? Is the boat going to make it?” We finish on a big high, which you will see in the finale.

What can we expect from the reunion?

I think people took accountability in the reunion. It’s good to talk about the incidents during the season, but it was all good. I think we’re all still talking to each other.

Erica Rose Apologizes After Disastrous Below Deck Sailing Yacht Episode

By Alex Darus

Even though the stars of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are obviously the yachties, the guests play an important supporting role. It’s not often that we remember the names of guests beyond each individual season of Below Deck , but there are exceptions. A few guests have so much fun, they can’t help but come back for another charter. Sometimes, it’s a good thing when the clients are polite and good tippers. Oftentimes, the pendulum swings in the opposite direction, to the dismay of Captain Glenn Shephard and the crew.

The current season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht had a recent experience of the latter. Erica Rose is a vet of Sailing Yacht . She is best remembered for her Donald Trump -inspired bathing suit during her first charter.  That, and for her friends who got into an epic girl fight. This go around, she opted for a Joe Biden suit, so she doesn’t discriminate. While her antics are entertaining, she and her guests usually create a living hell for the crew assigned to take care of them.

Erica and her team recently returned to Below Deck Sailing Yacht and it was nothing short of a mess . Her husband threw a drunken temper tantrum about the food that was downright insulting to Marcos Spaziani. Her guests left a tornado where ever they went, and Daisy Kelliher and her stews were constantly cleaning up after them. In the end, Erica and the crew didn’t even give a good tip. It was clearly wrong to both the crew and the viewers, and now Erica is publically apologizing.

Erica decided to post an Instagram video poking fun at her behavior onboard Parsifal III. It was in the style of her dancing over audio of someone apologizing. She wrote in the caption that we don’t know “the half of it,” even though we can all obviously see she only gave half of the tip that was owed. And that her boo only has half a brain (at least, that’s how he was acting).

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Erica took to Twitter to try to explain more. In one tweet, she points out that Below Deck Sailing Yacht isn’t a scripted show. “My hubby chose to act the way he did and wasn’t told to. We take accountability. Onwards and upwards,” she wrote. Girl, did your husband take any accountability? Because all I saw was a group of people enabling an adult-sized child. Make it make sense.

When it comes to the tip situation, Erica didn’t do herself any more favors in her explainer. In another tweet , she decided to “tip/recognize certain people more.” She specifically shouted out Tom Pearson and Kelsie Goglia . Why? Your guess is as good as mine. The real question is whether Erica actually did tip those two more, or if she was just announcing her regret. I cannot with any more of this nonsense. Erica and her gang are entertaining, but Bravo needs to give these yachties a break by not having to deal with her for one charter season.

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ERICA’S APOLOGY? DO YOU THINK SHE AND HER HUSBAND ACTUALLY TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY?

Tim Allen's Interview With Jimmy Kimmel Almost Got Him Banned From Hollywood

Tlc gets backlash after announcing jon & kate plus 8 is returning after a decade, 90 day fiancé's azan had the worst reaction to nicole's appearance (and fans aren't happy).

On the fourth episode of the third season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , charter guest Erica Rose is back with her mother Cindi, and her new husband, Chuck. "He's the first person I've met who's worse than I am," charter guest, Rhett, remarks, as Chuck continues to throw a fit about Marcos' food and the conditions on the pristine yacht. Marcos' crew mates calm his frustrations with Captain Glenn suggesting they humor the guests and adhere to their exact wants and specifications. Spoiler Alert: The rest of this article contains spoilers from Episode 4: 'Oopsie Daisy'

The Charter Guests Bring The Drama To The Beach Picnic

As Chuck continues his unfounded tirades, the crew mates prepare a beach party for the charter guests. After Cindi recruits someone to take her picture for Instagram, guests bring to the crew's attention a smattering of self tanner that Cindi's left on the white couch in the common area. However, while it's noted that the blemish is Cindi's, neither crew nor guest will admit it.

At the beach, Chuck seems to have a momentary attitude change, telling Daisy the food is great and defending his attitude saying, "I think I'm just a grouch in the morning." As the table discusses how Chuck's attitude would fare elsewhere, Erica's hairdresser, Janelle, and her husband, Rhett, agree that Chuck is unbearable. Overhearing their snarky comments, Chuck takes a not-so-private pass at Janelle, prompting Rhett to warn chuck, "I will f*ck your world up."

Marcos Injures Himself Preparing For The Decades Dinner

Back on the ship, Marcos convenes with Cindi and Erica to plan the night's dinner menu. Deciding on a buffet of spicy tuna crispy rice, spaghetti marinara, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach, Marcos comments that the night's dinner is "a nasty menu combination." Then, it's sails up for the ship, an experience which Chuck notes as "overrated."

Down in the refrigerator looking for broccoli, Marcos hits his head as the boat heels, slicing off a piece of his scalp . Captain Glenn calls on a doctor who comes to take a look at Marcos' wound. Much to Captain Glenn's satisfaction, the doctor declares the gash superficial, and Marcos is free to continue preparing dinner.

Chef Marcos Wrapping His Head Injury Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3

While the guests, along with invited crew members Captain Glenn and Gary, ready themselves for dinner, charter guests Janelle and Rhett brace themselves for an evening of Chuck. While some guests and crew members dress for the decade, Cindi emerges from the cabin dressed as Marilyn Monroe. During a complaint-less dinner, she even serenades Captain Glenn with a Marilyn-inspired "Happy Birthday," song that leaves Gary in hysterical tears.

The Guests Shirk The Crew With Their Tip

It's finally the morning that the Cindi-Erica guests are leaving, and the crew could not be more relieved. Daisy and Janelle share their thoughts on the insufferable Chuck, parting ways amicably. Captain Glenn tells Cindi that the guests will have to pay for the bronzer stain on the couch, an act she committed but maintains her innocence for. As the guests stroll off into the sunset, the crew prepares to clean the ship and breathe a sigh of relief.

Captain Glenn convenes the crew for the tip meeting. He notes Daisy's performance during the charter, complimenting her leadership skills. However, Captain Glenn shares the news that, while the crew did a wonderful job during charter, the tip offered "doesn't reflect the quality of service." With that, he tells the crew they've received a lump sum tip of $6,500 . To put that into perspective, the average tip is upwards of $20,000. Dismayed let glad to be rid of their nightmarish guests, the crew members prepare for a night on the town.

The Crew Has A Wild Night Out

In conversation with Colin, Ashley admits that she has difficulty trusting women due to situations she's experienced in the past. Such instances have caused her to be standoffish in nature, and have only helped to heighten her sense of competitiveness that seems to get in the way of a healthy working relationship with Gabriela.

The crew tidies up, and, drink in hand, head for dinner at Bisou. Sitting next to one another, Gary and Ashley discuss next steps for their "relationship," with Ashley admitting to Gary that, if they get intimate, she wants to be his sole hookup. Gary finds himself conflicted, saying that while he does want to sleep with Ashley, he's fearful of the consequences. Gary and Daisy then go out for a smoke, and when posed with the question of who Gary will be laying with tonight, he jokingly says to Daisy, "you."

After dinner, just outside the yacht, Gary and Ashley steal a cheeky kiss. Up on the boat deck, the crew continues the party, throwing on their bathing suits and heading into the hot tub. Noticing his flirtatious ways toward Daisy, Ashley decides to throw up her arms and focus on a more reasonable conquest for the night. As Gary dishes to Colin and Marcos that he'll be taking Daisy to bed, Ashley eyes Tom, putting to rest her aversion to his age.

During a Gabriela-documented photo shoot of sorts, Ashley and Tom share a kiss, leading her to ask him to the guest cabins with her . While the rest of the crew packs it in for the night, Gary and Daisy remain in the hot tub, joking, laughing, and...oh, there it is - kissing.

Fans Side With The Crew

It's more than evident that fans side with the crew on the attitude of the charter's guests. Given it was their second time aboard the ship, fans go so far as to say they should be banned from returning to Captain Glenn's boat.

As for Ashley's sudden interest in Tom, some fans find themselves empathetic toward her ageist attitude.

Will Ashley's change of heart be permanent? Or will her sober jealousy flare up at the thought of Gary and Daisy in bed together? Find out next time, on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

‘Below Deck’ Erica Rose, Charles Sanders Address Backlash

'Below Deck' Erica Rose, Charles Sanders Address Backlash [Credit: Instagram]

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 charter guests Erica Rose and Charles Sanders addressed the backlash. Fans criticized them for everything from their behavior to their disastrous tip. They even slammed Charles complaining about the food and calling it “disgusting.”

Erica Rose is a name you don’t want to hear on the show. Most Below Deck fans shuddered at her return, including chief stew Daisy Kelliher. Unsurprisingly, the charter guests were even worse than in the previous charter season. Fans think they’re the worst charter guests in the franchise’s history.

Find out what they had to say about the backlash they received.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guests speak out

Charles Sanders spoke out about the criticism of his behavior. He previously claimed the producers of Below Deck Sailing Yacht told him to speak ill of Chef Marcos Spaziani’s food. Charles is aware of the backlash he received after his appearance on the show. While his wife Erica Rose has been on many reality shows, he didn’t know what to expect.

The couple was previously criticized for their low tip . Erica explained that their fellow charter guests Janelle and Rhett Flatt didn’t offer their share. Yet, the couple explained that they were told not to offer their share. Janelle even posted the screenshots of their text message conversation on social media.

“Bittersweet. I wanted [the] show to do well, and I had some fun playing it up a bit,” he claimed. “I now realize that the drama that ensued related to my actions … brought a great deal of attention to the show and my family. While it makes good TV, I certainly upset a few people.”

Charles Sanders address his behavior

Charles revealed what it was like to watch himself on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . He admitted that he “dramatized things” in order to make the show more “entertaining.” Erica Rose’s said he was “a difficult passenger.” He opened up about the backlash he received from Below Deck fans.

“I think people reacted negatively to me because I made a bit of a scene which at the time I thought would be funny,” Charles explained. “The aftermath has been challenging to say the least and I definitely didn’t mean to offend anyone.”

I do believe a lot of it was a publicity stunt, it’s not a new thing for Erika to behave weird. She definitely has delusions of grandeur!

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Primary Guest Calls Out Cast Amidst Scripted Drama Accusations

Yikes, the charter is over but Below Deck's visitor still has a bone to pick about standards.

On the latest episode of Below Deck : Sailing Yacht , the Season 3 crew catered to a familiar face from last year: Erica Rose. But instead of bring a bunch of girlfriends (who were being snarky toward one another), she was joined by her family this time. Fans have since accused her husband Charles Sanders – who made a fuss about the quality of the food on the charter – of embellishing drama for the cameras. As a result, Rose is on the defense and calling out the cast concerning what is and isn’t scripted.

Along with being a Below Deck guest alum, Erica Rose also just happens to be a Bachelor Nation alum. She appeared in Prince Lorenzo Borghese’s Bachelor season and on subsequent seasons of the Bachelor Pad spinoff. So, in essence, she knows the behind the scenes specifics and isn’t against pointing out the bigger picture to Bravo audiences, saying to Reality Blurb :

For the people on the boat this is their job. They are not just people who work on a yacht, but they are actual reality stars. Especially the ones like Daisy [Kelliher], Gary [King], Colin [MacRae] and the captain who came back for a second season. As a reality TV vet myself I know that, but I’m not sure if the viewers conceptualize it.

Yet, despite her background, the notorious primary continued that she doesn’t like TV spectators “being entertained” at their expense. She especially wants Below Deck: Sailing Yacht ’s fanbase to “not take it so seriously.” She also hastened to note that she herself was never disrespectful or unkind to the crew.

Her husband is a horse of a different color, though. He would supposedly reveal on his private Instagram, per the outlet, that his behavior was in fact scripted (just as fans suspected) at the behest of producers. Erica Rose reiterated, too, that her spouse truly believed he was there to help put on the show, adding that it was Sailing Yacht ’s “highest rated episode.” (That doesn’t seem quite the case when comparing the March 7 episode to, say, the best of Season 2, per Showbuzz Daily ’s figures.) Additionally, Rose said:

I definitely can’t control my husband. But I think if people realize that he was acting and participating along with producers and what they wanted him to do, maybe that will help explain things.

This wouldn’t be the first time Bravo producers have been accused of influencing the drama, especially within the Below Deck franchise. Not only did Mediterranean spinoff star Lexi Wilson criticize the network , but Season 9 of the flagship show was rocked by scandal pertaining to the producers’ handling of a racial slur use . And, to Rose’s initial point in calling out the Sailing Yacht cast, Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent did get very candid about how Bravo castmates are incentivized to maintain drama .

Such is the nature of reality TV, as Erica Rose herself said. To be fair, though, she did voluntarily choose to return to Below Deck: Sailing Yacht for a second go-around… To see the remainder of their trip play out, and possibly another scripted hot tub romance or two, tune into Bravo on Monday at 9 p.m. EST!

‘Below Deck’ Sailing Yacht Shares Chilling Link To Sunken Morgan Stanley Billionaire’s Boat ‘Bayesian’

The plot thickens...

‘Below Deck’ Sailing Yacht Shares Chilling Link To Sunken Morgan Stanley Billionaire’s Boat ‘Bayesian’

Much has been made of the tragic events that unfolded earlier this week off the Sicilian coast, with the Morgan Stanley international chairman initially missing before being found dead alongside tech founder Mike Lynch. Adding more intrigue to the tale, a strange link between the sunk Bayesian yacht and hit show Below Deck has been uncovered…

The Italian shipyard Perini Navi, which built the PARSIFAL III — the yacht featured in the popular reality show Below Deck that rammed a pier due to an engine malfunction — is also the maker of the Bayesian , which tragically sank on August 19.

PARSIFAL III Misadventure

Below Deck is an American reality TV series that made its debut in 2013 on Bravo TV . The show, to date, is running on season 11, with a new cast of crews on every luxury superyacht during its chartering season. Their challenges while catering to wealthy guests are depicted on the show. The PARSIFAL III , a 177-foot yacht, suffered a big mishap during an episode of the show’s second Sailing Yacht season which first aired on May 17, 2021.

While trying to maneuver in bad weather, the yacht hit a dock because its engine broke down. In an explanation, Yacht’s Captain Glenn Shephard said:

“I was using a different maneuver mode. And there’s a computer in between the throttles and the propeller that adjusts the load on the engine. Maybe my inputs were too much for the computer and it kind of, I don’t know, froze or didn’t react in the right way. I’m not really 100 percent sure. But I was pushing ahead and it was still moving backwards, which is not normal.”

Some of the wreckage was visible floating in the sea after the accident. Luckily, no serious damage was caused in this crash. Launched in 2005, PARSIFAL III can accommodate up to 12 charter guests in a master suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins. The yacht also has a Jacuzzi and two Open Bic sailboats for guests to play with.

Not So Lucky

The Bayesian , also created by Perini Navi, was not as lucky. Sailing in a sudden and strong squall that created too much wind and conditions for the yacht to handle, the vessel sank after its mast broke in half off the coast of Sicily near the fishing village of Porticello   in the early hours of Monday.

Of the 22 people on board at the time of the tragedy, 15 were rescued, while six others lost their lives, among them being the chairman of Morgan Stanley International, Jonathan Bloomer, and tech tycoon Mike Lynch.

His daughter Hannah Lynch, 18, is still missing, and rescuers are frantically searching for her. Lynch was a British technology entrepreneur who achieved fame through his software company, Autonomy Corporation, which Hewlett-Packard bought for over $11 billion USD in 2011.

A Look Back at the Rudest Guests in 'Below Deck' History

"Chicken is what poor people eat," one guest famously declared.

Anna Quintana - Author

Published Aug. 23 2024, 11:29 a.m. ET

While there is no denying there are high expectations when you book a yacht vacation, some of the guests featured on the Bravo franchise Below Deck crossed the line and were just plain rude to the crew.

From accusing the staff of not providing the right cutlery to outright offensive comments, the rudest guests in Below Deck history truly went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Let's take a look back at the guests who will not be allowed back on a charter, and where they are now. Hopefully, they have learned some manners (but we are not holding our breath).

Captain Sandy Yawn and Aesha Scott on 'Below Deck Med.'

5. Jill Zarin on 'Below Deck' Season 11, Episode 9

Despite not being the primary on the charter, former RHONY member Jill Zarin did not hold back when it came to giving her unsolicited advice to the crew on Below Deck.

From bringing her own Diet Coke to her super specific preference sheet (she requested chocolate chip cookies every day at 3 p.m.), Jill was the definition of high maintenance.

However, she defended her behavior on Jeff Lewis Live.

"What they said I was the worst guest in the world for is absolutely ridiculous because everything I said was yes, a teaching moment for them," she said. "Everything I gave was a suggestion in a very nice and loving way."

She also revealed that she added $6,000 to the tip, which makes up for her behavior (just a little bit).

4. Butter Knife Expert on 'Below Deck Med' Season 9, Episode 11

@portpalspodcast #belowdeckmed #bravo ♬ original sound - Port Pals Podcast

Was it a butter knife or a fish knife? That was the debate on Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean between Chief Stew Aesha Scott and guest Neysla Paltsev, who also happens to be an etiquette coach.

After Aesha reassured her she had a fish knife, Neysla went on to insult the crew, telling Aesha the "caviar service sucked."

Neysla and her group's rude behavior also prompted Captain Sandy Yawn to give a lecture and let them know she has canceled a guest's million euro charter over rude behavior.

Following the episode, Neysla apologized during an Instagram Live , saying, "The dinner was definitely not my best moment and I should not have handled it the way I did. I was emotional and I couldn’t reel it back in. It wasn’t nice at all and for that I am really sorry about that."

3. The guests who refused to pack on 'Below Deck Sailing' Season 3, Episode 12

@andy.cohens.bussy Replying to @Amy this is the last part #belowdeck #belowdecksailing #bravotv #yachtlife #yachtie #hospitality ♬ original sound - Andy Cohens Bussy (PK)

The third season of Below Deck Sailing introduced viewers to primary Dr. Nichols and her group of friends, who not only left their rooms super messy but they refused to pack their own suitcases.

However, they did leave a hefty tip of $20,000 for the crew.

2. "Oyster Boy" on 'Below Deck' Season 5, Episode 5

@andy.cohens.bussy I love when a guest is proved wrong #belowdeck #belowdeckmed #bravotv #hannahferrier #captainsandy #customerservice ♬ original sound - Andy Cohens Bussy (PK)

You don't mess with Hannah Ferrier and one guest learned this the hard way. On Season 5 of Below Deck, primary charter guest Leon Glore was adamant he requested oysters on his preference sheet, prompting Hannah to prove him wrong.

But not before calling him an "outright a--hole."

1. "Chicken is for poor people" on 'Below Deck' Season 6, Episode 11

@andy.cohens.bussy I guess Im poor #belowdeck #bravotv #katechastain #captainlee #yachtlife #yachtie #belowdeck ♬ original sound - Andy Cohens Bussy (PK)

And the top spot goes to Kari Klein, who could not fathom eating chicken on a yacht.

"Chicken is what poor people eat," the guest said between laughs. While no one is denying that chicken may have not been the best choice for Chef Adrian to prepare, the guests did not stipulate it on their preference sheet — and offensive comments are never OK.

The Big Picture

  • Captain Jason Chambers hinted at the debut of Below Deck Down Under Season 3 on social media.
  • Fans are excited for the return of the show, especially after the success of Season 2.
  • Chambers previously mentioned challenges with pay and work opportunities outside the show.

Fans have been waiting for an update on Below Deck Down Under . The show began in March of 2022 and Season 2 premiered in July of 2023 . We have yet to get official news on when Season 3 of the reality series would be coming our way but it seems as if our trusted captain gave hints as to when the show would be debuting. Led by Captain Jason Chambers , Below Deck Down Under took Bravo fans to the Great Barrier Reef and navigated their guests through the archipelago to the Queensland coast and all around Australia. Despite the beautiful scenery of the show, it was filled with the same Below Decks drama fans expect.

The show has been on a hiatus though and fans wondered when news would drop for Season 3 of the series. That news is coming in hints from Chambers . Recently, he has been commenting on the Instagram posts of Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph . Chambers and Mace-Ralph posted a picture together of themselves in Los Angeles and Chambers commented on it, writing "Below deck down under crew in LA, does this mean our season is getting closer to the screens? Mmm I wonder?"

The hint was enough to get fans excited again ( especially since fans loved season 2 ) and one user followed up Chambers' comment by asking on his Instagram posts, "When will we see you back in Below Deck???!" Chambers replied to the fan with a heart emoji, writing "Soon," in response. There has been no official word from Bravo on why Chambers and Mace-Ralph were in Los Angeles or when Season 3 of the series will come out.

Capt. Chambers Has Called Out Bravo's Pay in the Past

Chambers' return to the show was up in the air for fans. Despite the show's success, no one knew whether or not the show would continue or if Chambers would still be the captain . In the past, Chambers made a comment about the pay he got from being on Below Deck Down Under . Captured by Bravohusband on Reddit , Chambers reportedly said " t he show pays virtually nothing until you get a few seasons." In the Reddit post, it also claims that Chambers stated that while working on the show, he cannot find work as a captain outside of it . “I can’t work in between, as captains are full-time. No owner wants a revolving captain.” That fact is one that isn't widely known by Bravo fans. Despite this, he's said that he is "100% committed" to the series.

You can see Chambers and his crew on Below Deck Down Under.

On Below Deck Med, Sandy and Aesha school—and warn—their guests

A person standing behind a bar talks to a group of people

comment icon 3 comments

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9’s crew has been such a continuous disaster, from disappearing laundry to disappearing dock workers, that I’ve almost forgotten that the yacht has guests who can bring their own drama.

So it was quite a departure to spend most of the episode on this new group of guests, who were such terrors that Captain Sandy told a story that let them know she’d throw them off the boat if they continued to be meanies.

Here’s the thing, though: In terms of Below Deck guests, they were—not that bad? They kept asking for cocktails, and did some rich playacting things like demanding caviar.

All of this made for great TV, of course, though the lingering question is why these guests, and why now.

A person poking themselves in the forehead with two fingers on one hand

As a new day dawned, Iain described to us the “one or two little hiccups” from previous charters, giving the editors a chance for a montage of his colossal fuckups. “I’m just hoping we can have a smooth one,” he said.

They mostly did, thanks to Gael. At the end of the charter, Iain told the deckhands how they’d handle the lines while docking, and Gael said, “Iain, that’s not right.” Of course it’s not; it’s Iain. How does he remain bosun? But they made it in.

Gael and Iain went to pick up the guests on shore, and she was worried about driving the tender because she doesn’t have much experience. “Did you see that?” she said to the cameras with the excitement that a kid has for successfully depositing a poo. “I just did that!”

I do love Gael’s excitement, and her competence, and the way she’s being sassy toward Iain, telling him that they didn’t want him to work hard when they got the platforms ready without him. She really should be bosun or at least lead deckhand; experience on paper does not translate to effectiveness on deck.

Once the guests pulled up in a van, Iain said, and this is an actual quotation, “Is this guests?” I don’t know, Ian. Is it a van? Is this Greece? I don’t see guests, or a van, or Greece.

Below deck, Ellie and Bri seem to be functioning, though Ellie is still seething. “Things are not going to change because this entire time, it has been Bri fucking up,” Ellie said, forgetting that she screwed up Jono’s pants.

In real time, Ellie has expressed remorse for the way she treated Bri, which is impressive. On board, she’s improving too. “Do you have an empty washer, by any chance?” she nicely asked Bri. IF NOT THEN EMPTY ONE FOR I AM SECOND STEW YOU GIVE ME THE MACHINE I WANT!

Ellie did have an actual problem: She couldn’t find her dress, so she called Bri. “I’m pretty sure it happened before Aesha implemented this new rule so it doesn’t really count,” Bri said, and found the dress “in my bag,” unwashed. It’s absurd how bad Bri still is at this job.

My favorite metaphor from this episode came from Ellie. “We’ve been treating Bri like a baby deer,” Ellie told us, “and if I bring this dress up and get Bri fired because of it, it’d be like I shot Bambi. Doesn’t work in my favor whatsoever.” Smart strategy. Also, I’m pretty sure Bambi would be better at laundry.

Jono had food ready when the guests arrived, though it appeared to be like cheese boards, appropriate for sitting out. Just a few charters ago, our Jono was making eggs several weeks early and wrapping them in towels and putting them on the deck to keep them warm.

The guests’ demands began almost immediately. “The couches: it’d be great if they were gone,” the primary said. Does she want the deck crew to throw them overboard? It turned out she just wanted to take a photo, so Aesha and Bri moved a couch.

“Thank god, this is a shorter charter,” Aesha said, which I think is chief stew code for fuck my life.

The guests weren’t egregiously entitled assholes, like we’ve seen before, just demanding. “Can you get my martini?” the primary, Mahisha, asked Aesha. Her martini was sitting on a table immediately behind her. “Want to bring it to me?”

Mahisha also requested, on her preference sheet, “a culinary masterpiece from start to finish and rival any Michelin star restaurant.” Maybe go to a Michelin star restaurant? You’re on a yacht with one person cooking in a glorified closet.

There was a montage of guests asking for many, many drinks, with Joe and Nathan helping to deliver them, and Ellie getting spicy about demands (“The gentleman ordered before them, I’m sorry,” she said). What’s sketchy about this is the time that elapsed between all these asks. Were they asking for cocktails every five minutes? Or every 30? And on a yacht, asking for drinks and water while you’re hanging out on the deck and by the water is not unreasonable.

Mahisha, who was mentioning caviar and mother-of-pearl spoons as the tender approached the yacht, finally got her caviar, and declared, “it tastes a little like a washcloth.”

Jono said, “I didn’t shit out those eggs; some fish did.” I wish he’d told her that. What exactly did she expect him to do? Mahisha did host an OWN reality TV show, Mind Your Business with Mahisha , so maybe she’s just trying to produce some drama?

A group of people sitting at a table; one is talking to a server

The best scene in the episode did not involve Mahisha, but her guest, Neysla, who started complaining about a butter knife when there was no bread and butter.

“This is a butter knife,” she told Aesha, who, bless her, replied, “It’s not. It’s a fish knife.”

“Oh, she’s going to school me,” Neysla said, and that she was right about. Aesha told her—during dinner service!—”Yeah, I’ve worked in service a very long time, and that’s a fish knife. It’s ‘cuz fish is not supposed to be tough it’s supposed to be smooth, so it just cuts through.”

“Well, your caviar service sucked,” Neysla said, though that appeared to have been cut in from later, as she wasn’t talking to Aesha directly. This infuriated her: “I’m okay being wrong. It’s just…” she said, suggesting Aesha made a face, and then said, “I need to calm the fuck down.” Yes, it’s a knife.

In an interview, Aesha said, “I’ve got to stand up for myself at some point.” I am glad she did! But did we miss something, because again, insisting a knife is a different knife is not even in the same arena as some of the worst Below Deck guest treatment of crew.

After dinner, before bed, Mahisha declared she was hungry and wanted fish. Aesha said the chef was in bed, and that he’d prepared sandwiches. “I don’t eat sandwiches,” Mahisha said, which is hilarious and ridiculous.

She instead ordered some berries, and as Aesha prepared those, Mahisha decided to go to bed and fell down the stairs. The boat is fighting back.

The next morning, Jono laid out a huge breakfast spread, which sat for a few minutes while the guests took photos. When she arrived, Mahisha surveyed this and said, “I do want some berries.” LOL. Here are the ones from last night, kept fresh in the trash!

After breakfast, the guests went to the Temple of Aphaia, where I expected them to tell random Greek people that what they were seeing were not ancient ruins.

Of course, they actually just wanted another photo shoot. There was a pleasant moment of levity when the guests realized Ellie and Joe were flirting, and took pictures of Ellie kissing Joe. “The guests are picking up on the chemistry between us kind of validates what I’ve been sensing this entire time,” Ellie said.

In this episode’s sad puppy content, Gael told Nathan, “Please don’t turn out to be a dick,” and he said, “I won’t hurt you.”

And then Sandy’s girlfriend Leah texted her, “I need to talk to you about Bailey,” their dog, who died. Uh, content warning, please?! Sandy told us that her parents also died while she was sailing, so the dog’s death “brings up all your losses.”

Charter guest Mike, a former NBA player, told Captain Sandy, “Your staff that you have here, they’re really, really good—they’re top-notch.”

That was very nice! And then Sandy used that moment, for some reason, to deliver her TED Talk. “If you beat character down, you’re going to kill their spirit,” she began. “But if you’re gracious and you’re thankful, you’re going to build ’em up and they’re going to want to do more for you. I had a client that spent a million Euros on a charter; they were so rude to my crew, I pulled the primary in and I said, I’ll cancel your charter tomorrow…”

Mahisha said “oh!” and then downed her drink.

A person holding a drink and wearing sunglasses puts her hand to her chest in horror

“…if you treat my staff like that again,” Sandy continued. “They turned it around like that.” This is an amazing story, and also great that Sandy is sticking up for her crew. But where has this energy been for, I don’t know, every other charter ever?!

To have a bunch of rich white people on yachts acting like drunken, entitled, sometimes violent assholes for years and years, and then to finally draw a line when there’s a group of Black charter guests who—ask for a lot of drinks, want furniture rearranged, and don’t understand silverware? Not a good look.

“I’m, like, over this conversation,” Neysla said and left. In an interview, Sandy asked us, “Did I get my point across?” Apparently!

Meanwhile, Jono was preparing an “Asian fusion feast,” and described spending “a week in Ho Chi Minh City at a master chef’s farm” and cooking multiple times per day. Wait, this is Jono talking about learning about food , not his lack of food knowledge?! “The guests want some fancy shit and nothing says rich motherfucker like some duck for lunch,” he added. Oh there you are—welcome back, Jono. “We fancy out hererrr.” Okay, got it, Jono, that’s enough.

The guests loved it, and soon it was time for them to depart. On the dock, Mahisha praised Jono’s food, and then said, “to my love birds, I can’t wait to see what happens later … you know who you are.”

She added, “to all the other supporting crew, you were just phenonemal, so thank you. I don’ think we had any issues, did we?” Aesha said, “Were we on the same charter? … This is so confusing.” The guests tipped $20,000, so no issues there.

“I know this was a shit charter guest-wise,” Aesha told her stews. ” I want us to finish like this,” and they all held hands.

With all this happiness, what’s going to go wrong? Oh, Joe, of course. Exactly one charter after singing a song about hooking up with both Bri and Ellie , Joe said in the crew mess, “for fuck’s sake, what did I do? I don’t even want either of them,” Joe said. Bri came around the corner, they all got quiet, and Bri said, “that hurts me.” Then she cut their pants up and threw them in the ocean.

A few seconds later, Joe told Bri: “Honestly, I do care. I do.” Then Ellie asked him on a date, and he said yes. This guy. I’d call him a fuckboy but that’d be giving him too much credit.

Joe climbed behind Nathan on a jet ski—I could not make up a better image if I tried—and babbled a lot about liking Ellie but not wanting to date: “I’ve already said yes, but I don’t want to go on it.”

Two men on a jet ski that's on a ship's deck

As if the jet ski humping wasn’t enough bromance, Joe and Nathan sat for a joint interview when Nathan said, “Joe’s afraid to go on the date” and Joe said, “because I’m genuinely petrified of her.”

There may be some truth to that. Gael, who we know is the smartest one among them, said, “I feel like Ellie is the kind of girl, scorned, is going to burn the whole boat down.”

That may happen, as the cliffhanger was Ellie saying to Joe, “Sir, are you excited? … I am, like, ready to go.”

Joe sat on her bed and said, “Let’s talk. Um… I don’t want any strings attached. to be honest, I feel a lot of pressure, and I don’t want a date.” RIP motor yacht Mustique.

Those 2 female guests were pretty bad. Legends in their own minds.

But the men were awesome! I can’t wait to see Ellie’s reaction to him cancelling the date!

Okay, this:

“The guests’ demands began almost immediately. “The couches: it’d be great if they were gone,” the primary said. Does she want the deck crew to throw them overboard?”

made me laugh myself stupid! (which, admittedly, didn’t take much laughing… )

Ranking Every ‘Below Deck’ Show From Most to Least Memorable: Mediterranean, Adventure and More

Bravo's Below Deck series has inspired several spinoffs — but not every one has left an impression.

Below Deck , which debuted on Bravo in 2013, introduced viewers to various crew members who reside and work on a superyacht during charter season. The original series quickly became a major success for the network, spawning spinoffs that include Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Adventure .

The show has since become an example of Bravo's rare all-year long programming with a Below Deck series airing new episodes at any given moment. While most of the cast has changed from season to season, viewers have gotten invested in some of the mainstays , which are usually the captains and the chief stews or bosuns.

However, not every show has stuck with fans the exact same way. Certain iterations didn't last longer than a season while others have become more memorable than the OG Below Deck show.

A Guide to ‘Below Deck’ and Its Many Spinoffs: ‘Below Deck Mediterranean,’ ‘Below Deck Down Under’ and More

Keep scrolling to see Us ' ranking of the Below Deck shows — in order from most to least memorable.

1) 'Below Deck Mediterranean'

When some of Us weren't looking, Below Deck Mediterranean surprisingly became the backbone of the franchise that earned it first place on this list . A large part of that is Captain Sandy Yawn , who for better or for worse has gotten viewers reinvigorated about Below Deck . It takes a special kind of captain to not always make decisions everyone likes but that keeps fans coming back for more.

Sandy's priority is being a good captain but somewhere along the way she became Below Deck gold. Everything else is just icing on the cake when Sandy is at the center of every season in the Mediterranean.

2) 'Below Deck'

The original show paved the way for every other iteration to find its place on Bravo. Without Below Deck — and Captain Lee Rosbach — fans wouldn't know just how compelling drama on the high seas can actually be.

One reason why Below Deck isn't at the very top is tied to the show’s decision to fix what wasn't broken. Captain Lee was the face of the franchise — so it wasn't easy to say goodbye when he was replaced following a decade on Below Deck . The switch came several seasons after chief stew Kate Chastain left and it was too much change at once for some of Us .

A Guide to Every Chief Stew in the ‘Below Deck’ Franchise: From Kate Chastain to Hannah Ferrier

3) 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'

Speaking of shows overshadowed by controversy, Below Deck Sailing Yacht had it all when it originally premiered on Bravo in 2020 . Paternity scandals, love triangles and Below Deck alums that overstayed their welcome by making the audience turn on them again.

Captain Glenn Shephard confidently steered Below Deck Sailing Yacht into a successful future but other factors ultimately got in the way.

First of all, Daisy Kelliher 's messy feelings for Colin Macrae and Gary King sounded like good reality TV on paper but it wasn't as interesting on screen. The trio actually made it harder to come back around each week because it was exhausting to see them hash out their confusing issues.

Season 4 wrapped up with the promise of more episodes before Gary made headlines for his sexual misconduct scandal. He has maintained his innocence and no official statement has been given on the future of the show but Below Deck Sailing Yacht has yet to release any news about another season since the drama.

4) 'Below Deck Down Under'

The spinoff set in Australia should have been a slam dunk with Bravo's favorite hottie Captain Jason Chambers and fan-favorite chief stew Aesha Scott by his side. However, Below Deck Down Under initially struggled because it was premiering on Peacock instead of Bravo meaning viewers didn't know to look for a new show.

Season 2 was what put Below Deck Down Under on the map but not for the reason anyone was hoping. A shocking consent scandal halfway through the season resulted in Luke Jones and Laura Bileskaline getting fired from the boat , which Below Deck Down Under was applauded for as new episodes continued to cover the aftermath.

Despite the fact that Jason and Aesha received praise for how they handled the situation , there has been no news about the show's future. It is possible that the drama overshadowed the show itself — and not in a good way.

A Guide to Every Captain in the ‘Below Deck’ Franchise Over the Years: From Below Deck’s Captain Lee to Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy

5) 'Below Deck Adventure'

The fourth spinoff was meant to be the most action-packed as guests signed up for thrill-seeking activities along the Norwegian Fjords. After premiering in November 2022, Below Deck Adventure failed to find an audience week to week and subsequently faded out of everyone's mind.

Bravo never announced the show's cancellation but it's probably safe to assume that not many fans were asking for a status update. Instead, Captain Kerry Titheradge was moved to Below Deck and everyone forgot the first failed Below Deck spinoff series.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Janelle reveals if she still does Erica Rose’s hair

Are Erica Rose and hairdresser Janelle from Below Deck Sailing Yacht still friends?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Janelle Flatt has revealed if she still does Erica Rose’s hair after their Season 3 appearance.

Erica and her husband Charles Sanders have been under fire for their behavior on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. They also left a tip of $6500, which earned them a lot of backlash from viewers. The couple has blamed the other charter guests, including Janelle and her husband Rhett, for the tiny tip.

Is Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Janelle still Erica Rose’s hairstylist?

On the show, Erica didn’t want Charles to get into it with Rhett because Janelle was her hairstylist. After the group left Parsifal III, fans wondered if Janelle still did Erica’s hair.

Janelle took to Instagram to do a video answering just that question.

“We are never getting back together….” Janelle captioned the post.

In the video message, Janelle said, “Nope not ever, not ever ever. Not really ever, like never, never, never ever, never ever will I ever do your hair again.

The Instagram post was filled with support for Janelle and happiness over her mic drop moment.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans support Janelle.

Janelle shares behind the scenes Below Deck Sailing Yacht fun

Rhett and Janelle may not have gotten along with Erica and Charles, but that doesn’t mean their whole trip was ruined. Janelle shared a video revealing some of the lighter and more fun moments the couple had on their charter.

The Instagram post promoted Janelle and Rhett’s final episode on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Janelle even mentioned in the caption it would be a good episode.

Gabriela Barragan popped up in the comments section of Janelle’s Instagram post. The stew referred to them as her favorite couple. Janelle proved not everyone in the group felt the same way about the food as Charles when she gushed to Gabriela over the service and food.

Gabby comments on Janelle's post.

Janelle Flatt and her husband Rhett are the break-out stars of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3. The hairstylist has revealed she will never do Erica Rose’s hair again after her and husband Charles Sanders’ behavior on the hit yachting show.

While Erica stands up for her husband, Janelle has made it pretty clear there’s no excuse for his behavior, and fans couldn’t agree more.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Below deck mediterranean season 9 shows captain sandy’s selfish side (she’s inconsiderate), below deck mediterranean: chef johnathan needs to face consequences for near fatal accident (can he fix his damaged reputation).

  • Captain Sandy Yawn praises Iain Maclean's improvement in the midst of yacht leaks during a storm.
  • Iain faces criticism but earns praise for fixing a leak as he shows dedication to his job.
  • Below Deck Med season 9 has been filled with mishaps and blunders, with the crew under scrutiny for allegedly faking their poor performances.

Rumors about fake performances on Below Deck Mediterranean have been making their way through the Bravo universe, but Captain Sandy Yawn is now stating that one crewmate's poor performance has actually improved . The rumors of fake poor performances by the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 cast have been going around since almost the beginning of the season, especially when Chef Johnathan "Jono" Shillingford began to make mistakes with the food that a professional chef shouldn't be making, such as serving improperly cooked meat. Iain Maclean was also accused of faking his performance, including letting charter guests drift away on paddleboards.

"This storm has caused so many issues, we have two separate leaks."

Although Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 has been filled with mishaps and blunders by the crew members, one incident is even making Captain Sandy give one crew member their dues . In a preview for the next episode, shared on Bravo 's YouTube channel, the yacht is not only caught in a terrible storm, it is also leaking in two separate places.

In the preview, Iain is seen working on something in a tiny space , while Captain Sandy asks, " Okay, Iain, what is going on? " to which Iain responds, " The starboard forward cabin is all dry, " earning him a " well done " from Captain Sandy.

Did Iain Maclean Save Himself From Getting Fired On Below Deck Med?

Bosun iain has faced intense criticism for his work performance.

Captain Sandy has had her hands full with the crew she was assigned for Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 , and there were major concerns that the beloved Captain Sandy Yawn might not even return for another season. The trouble with the exterior crew started almost immediately; Bosun Iain allowed a guest to paddle around on a paddleboard but failed to put anyone in charge of watching the guest. In a shocking moment, the guest was allowed to float away from the boat and was rescued by a passing catamaran, and was then picked up by the tender.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

It seemed like this would be the moment when Iain would be fired from his job and a new cast member brought aboard. However, Captain Sandy believes in giving her crew chances to improve their performance and gives them opportunities to save their jobs when they are in jeopardy. Although Iain's behavior as a team leader was shockingly poor, this was not Iain's first time on a yacht, as he had previously spent five years in the industry. Most likely due to his experience, Captain Sandy got very stern with Iain , pointing out his mistakes rather than celebrating his wins .

While Iain was being pushed to his breaking point by Captain Sandy's constant criticism, he did not give up. Iain continued to try to improve his leadership and communication skills, and his efforts may be working. During an intense storm that popped up in the Mediterranean that caused the yacht to dock, two different leaks occurred. Captain Sandy was obviously concerned about this development and had the team of engineers working on one leak while the exterior crew worked on another. Thankfully, Iain was able to give Captain Sandy the news she wanted to hear: the leak was all gone .

This season has cast a shadow on the professional skills of the people working on the chartered yachts of Bravo's Below Deck franchise. The interior crew is struggling with a love triangle that is preventing them from fulfilling the duties of their jobs. Meanwhile, the chef is serving meals that have the potential to be not only sickening but also deadly when Chef Jono serves a guest raw fish that she's deathly allergic to. So after Bosun Iain is finally able to do something correctly , it is no wonder Captain Sandy was quick to tell him, “ Well done, well done. ”

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.
