In 2020, the Solaris 60 was launched. This model, we hope, will alter the way one builds or conceives a yacht and will influence nautical design for the next ten years. The Solaris 60 is inspired by the idea of creating a Mini-Maxi, a high performance sailboat, with an overall length of 18.31m. This length allows a vessel to take part in offshore racing, in Mini-Maxi class, including the main event in Porto Cervo that takes place every year.
The main innovation of the Solaris 60 is the cockpit because of its full width steering wheels. You can steer the boat without the intrusion of the sprayhood. This ensure that the jib’s luff is always completely left in sight while sailing.
The width of the steering system allows to lower the lifelines in the aft area and to lift them near the two steps that lead to the side decks. This solution is normally adopted on very big boats, bigger than 140ft. Moreover, thanks to the width of the wheels even during manoeuvring and navigation, the helmsman will have an unobstructed view without any kind of obstacle.
The control lines are located within easy reach of the helm and the signature self-tacking jib makes her easily handled with a small crew. Behind the wheels several seat options are available to steer in different sea conditions, even sitting down.
Below deck, you will find a typical Solaris Yachts layout, which includes a galley slightly hidden by two steps forward and for the first time two aft cabins with single or double beds, with a wide porthole facing the interior of the cockpit.
The owner’s cabin, situated in the front, is extremely wide and equipped with a wide capacity and with the option of outboard or central bed.
There is also a large hydraulically operated tender garage with a wide transom door enabling the easy deployment of the dinghy while the transom also serves as an ample swim platform.
Special focus has been given to the crew cabin too, situated in the bow, equipped with a separate bathroom.
Again, with a choice of interior finishes – light oak, teak, washed and antiqued oak, the craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality throughout is as you would expect from Solaris Yachts.

Superyacht Solaris promises to deliver an outstanding charter vacation
The 27.42m/90' open yacht 'Solaris' by the Italian shipyard Pershing offers flexible accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 cabins and features interior styling by Italian designer Pershing.
Built in 2009, Solaris is the perfect yacht for zipping between destinations, with an array of social and lounging options, as well as a convenient swim platform offering easy access into the sea, she is primed for fabulous outdoor adventures.
Guest Accommodation
Families will particularly love Solaris thanks to her child-friendly setup. She offers guest accommodation for up to 10 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, one VIP cabin, one double cabin and two twin cabins. There are 9 beds in total, including 1 king, 1 queen, 1 double, 4 singles and 2 pullmans. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.
Onboard Comfort & Entertainment
Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you, notably Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.
Performance & Range
Solaris is built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 34 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 44 knots with a range of up to 440 nautical miles from her 9,000 litre fuel tanks at 38 knots. With a shallow draft of 1.65m/5'5" Solaris can anchor closer to coves and sheltered bays overnight.
Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy fun on the water with the collection of water toys and accessories aboard Solaris. Principle among these are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Additionally, there are wakeboards so guests can show off at speed. If that isn't enough Solaris also features fishing equipment, beach games, inflatable water toys, kneeboards and paddleboards. Solaris features three tenders, but leading the pack is a 3.9m/12'10" Zodiac Jet Tender to transport you in style.

M/Y Solaris features an impressive sun deck has an unusual and exceedingly practical feature: a huge, private Sun Deck that converts into a dinette for al-fresco dining. This is done automatically via the touch of a button on the remote control.
