The RMI allows, through its national legislation and the RMI Yacht Code, the registration of private yachts, private yachts limited charter, commercial yachts, and passenger yachts. It also allows for RMI flagged private yachts to charter in French and Monégasque waters without the need for commercial registration by requesting a Temporary Certificate of Registry for Yacht Engaged in Trade.

Yacht owners can choose the home port of either Bikini or Jaluit. Two yachts may share a common name as long as they are registered in different home ports.

Like commercial vessels, ownership of yachts registered in the RMI must be through an RMI corporation, limited or general partnership, limited liability company, or a qualified foreign maritime entity.

You may search Coast Guard Documented Vessels by their names, Hull Identification Numbers or Official Numbers via the CGMIX Coast Guard Port State Information Exchange Database.

The search will reveal the Vessel Information (Vessel Name, Official Number, Hull Identification Number, Flag, etc.) the Vessel Particulars (dimensions), Service Information, Tonnage Information and Vessel Documents and Certifications, including the issuance and expiration of the current Certificate of Documentation .

You will not find Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as the Managing Owner’s name and address on any public database. This information has been removed from public access as of 2018.

If you wish to find the Managing Owner, complete ownership history and a record of all liens/encumbrances of a Documented vessel, you may request an official USCG Abstract of Title via the link below. This generally takes 2-3 business days to produce by the National Vessel Documentation Center. The associated fee for this report is $75.

Additionally, any member of the public can request a Certified Copy of the Certificate of Documentation for any US Coast Guard Documented Vessel. Much like airplanes have tail numbers, and a variety of web sites to cross reference a planes tail number to the owner, information, plane, model, etc. is there such a thing for yachts? Anywhere one can do some research on a yachts name to the MFG, length, etc. ?? I've seen a lot of thread where people ask about a boat, and other come bak with quite a bit of detail. Any links as to where they are gathering this info would be great. I've searched the forum as didn't find anything so figured a thread would be safe. Regards- ~Q

************ has a pretty thorough collection of yachts. You can search by name, and it will give you all the basic details such as length, yard, designer, etc. But it was also tell you where it was last seen. The only thing the site lacks is the ability to search by shipyard or by location. You can only search by boat name.

Guys, We use this site to get info on merchant vessels. I ran some known yacht names through it and they showed up. Info given includes the registered company name, classification society, deadweight, link to the vessel's class site for class specific info, and sometimes info on various compliance certs. An Ohio-based content creator showed Skyline Chili some love this past week. Well, a lot of love. Like, maybe even a little too much love.

Sir Yacht , whose real name is Joey Kinsley, ate nothing but Skyline Chili for an entire week and, of course, documented his journey online. He consumed Skyline for three meals a day for seven days. Yep, that totals to 21 consecutive meals – an estimated total of 30,450 calories – of what looks like 5-ways, coney dogs and chilitos.

The Cleveland-based creator has more than 500,000 TikTok followers thanks in part to his sports rants and challenge videos, according to his LinkedIn . He says in a video posted on X that he took on his latest ambitious task "to see what eating chili on spaghetti three times a day would do to me."

The answer? The creator actually says he lost 3.1 pounds, which he credits to "long walks" and "plenty of hours toilet squatting."
