Both Junior and Adult sailing programmes and lessons from beginner to advanced are a regular features at Phuket Yacht club (PYC) as well as senior racing on a monthly basis.

Here at PYC we host and organise many regattas throughout the year which you may enter and join in with the excitement as well as the after party fun in the evenings.
The Phuket Yacht Club Social calendar is wide and varied and you will experience a great community atmosphere to which you will be welcomed with open arms. We hold a Quiz every couple of months to fundraise for Disabled Sailing Thailand https://disabledsailingthailand.org/ and give our members and guests a chance to pit their wits against each other. We hold regular wine tastings with guest presenters showcasing their wares, a welcome glass of Prosecco is followed by some very fine reds, whites and rosés to titillate your palate. Also yearly events such as the Melbourne Cup are high points not to be missed. The Club is also open to host private functions and celebrations from birthdays to weddings.

As Grand as possible!”
This was my 1st trip to Phuket and Thailand, so I did decent online research based on which, zeroed down on starting the trip from The Nai Harn. None of my friends had been to this resort and their suggestions were different, so I took a leap of faith of sorts. And boy, I am so glad that I went with my gut feel and selected to stay here. This is as complete a resort as possible: 1. Checkin: was super smooth right from airport pickup to early check-in 3 hours prior to scheduled time. They also gave me a higher room as I has asked for. 2. Room: room in itself was as good as it gets - size, comfort, personal roof with a live-for view of the Andaman bay. I can stay in the room for days! 3. Nai Harn beach: as the name suggests, situated on the Southern part of the Phuket, it's a bit secluded and the location of the resort makes it feel like a personal beach. Very less crowded, good for your walks, sit downs, playing with the waves, snorkelling. Hotel provides all related stuff, complimentary. 4. Food: even though they don't have any Indian food options, which is the only gripe I have, their breakfast buffet was awesome. Their ala carte menu is also quite extensive and just loved their desserts. 5. Service: very hospitable & accomodating. 6. Location: we were surprised to see how close it was from the Promthep Cape, which is a view point delight. Just 5 mins from here, and we went there multiple times! All in all, it's as complete a package as possible and it doesn't cost you what other premium places do.

excellent hotel beside nai harn beach”
OK, so food at the hotel is expensive, like first-world expensive. Be prepared to spend if eating in and better to book with breakfast. Breakfast was excellent, especially the egg station. Other food at the restaurant are decent, I highly recommend the fish curry. Otherwise, there are restaurants near the beach with mediocre food or book transport for better options. Room is modern and had all the necessities you need, including a well-stocked minibar. There were stray hairs in the tub when we arrived, and housekeeping inconsistent with standard of cleanliness throughout the stay. Bed was super comfortable. Oh, and lots of stairs, may not be as PWD or kid friendly. Hotel is just beside Nai Harn beach with a beach butler to provide towels and set up loungers and umbrellas upon request. Staff are friendly, most importantly helpful. Overall, excellent stay.

Overall, a must-do experience. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. The Cosmo restaurant at the hotel had both Thai and Western dishes which was handy. The room was clean and the bed was sensational. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. The bar there is situated nicely on the 2nd floor - overlooking Nai Harn beach, offering a relaxing atmosphere. My only gripe is that the bar shuts at 10pm... However, there are many bars outside of the hotel for those who'd prefer to have a few more after 10 pm. Thanks for the unforgettable experience!

Worth the money! Even locals agree The Nai Harn is one of the best in the area!”
WHAT TO EXPECT: - Relatively smooth check in and check out process. - Attentive and helpful staff who will always greet you with a smile whatever time of the day. - Great dining experience at the Cosmo tho a bit pricier than surrounding food places. Try their tom yum goong and carbonara pasta. The peanut sauce that comes with their chicken satay is also delightful. - Superb breakfast selection! One of the best breakfast I've had in all hotels I've stayed in. They have everything from cold cuts to hummus! - Spacious rooms fitted with everything you need (e.g. shoe shine tools, insect repellant, masks, etc.) and overall great facilities - Location is quite far from the airport (approx 1 hour away) and town proper (approx 30 mins away). That said, the hotel guarantees privacy as it is in a secluded area. The beach is only a few steps away from the hotel. The area is perfect for families or those who want a quiet and restful getaway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back to The Nai Harn in the future. However: - Floors 7 and 8 are not serviced by the lift, so guests have to take the stairs up to these levels. - When we arrived, the room smells damp, pillows and blankets too. The sink is slightly clogged, tho this was quickly remedied when staff came to clean the room. TIP: If you find the food at Cosmo or Rock Salt to be expensive, there are food places just a short walk from the hotel overlooking the beach. They also have happy hour for 99 THB each drink.

Lovely stay at Nai Harn”
The property is quite nice, beach was not very crowded in a more secluded part of Phuket.,Just a bit far from the airport about 1.5 hr drive . If you just plan to stay only in the resort, Nai Harn is perfect. Breakfast is yummy, lots of choices. Pool is also very nice and I love how the pool chairs were placed facing the ocean. Restaurant food in the hotel is pricey and limited restaurants in the area. A bit of a walk or a taxi ride to town. We were upgraded to a bigger room , but were still charged 1000 baht a night. So actually I paid for the upgrade , it wasn’t free. I would assume upgrades are free . The reception said because my son who was only six was not charged for xtra. But I booked the room with my son included in the booking. And I do that in my other Agoda bookings but no xtra charge. Nevertheless, I am happy with our bigger room. It is quite spacious, except the sliding door in the bathroom keep slipping off the railing . Overall a great stay.

Big plans for ‘Royal Siam Haven’ entertainment complex
The royal turf club of thailand plans to invest 200 billion baht on a vast entertainment complex featuring casinos, horse racing, luxury hotels and a lot more.
The Royal Turf Club of Thailand (RTCT) has announced plans to invest 200 billion baht in building an expansive entertainment complex called “The Royal Siam Haven”.
RTCT executive Patvee Surin told Thansettakij, a media arm of the Nation Group, that a memorandum of understanding has already been signed with investment partners. While the exact location of the complex remains undisclosed, Patvee confirmed it will cover a vast area.
The ambitious plan was unveiled during a club meeting on Saturday. The Royal Siam Haven is set to become one of Asia’s top entertainment complexes, featuring casinos, a horse racecourse, a six-star hotel, a golf course, a yacht club, luxury dining options, a theatre, a medical tourism hospital and a learning centre.
Bold economic stimulus initiative
The Royal Turf Club of Thailand joins a group of five foreign and four Thai investors showing interest in developing entertainment complexes in Thailand.
According to a draft bill on entertainment complexes, such developments must include at least one casino and four additional businesses, which may include department stores, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, sports complexes, yacht clubs, game centres, swimming pools, amusement parks or venues promoting One Tambon One Product (OTOP) goods.
The Thai government expects casinos to become a crucial driver for economic and tourism growth, aiming to enhance Thailand’s “fun economy”, generate employment for locals and increase tax revenue.
Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra, speaking at the “Vision for Thailand 2024” dinner event hosted by the Nation Group last Thursday (August 22), suggested that each entertainment complex in Bangkok would require an investment of up to 100 billion baht. Similar complexes upcountry would require at least 50 billion baht. “Otherwise Thailand cannot compete with other countries,” Thaksin reckoned.
Interest from Thai and foreign investors
Thansettakij has reported that other prominent local entities, including U-Tapao International Aviation (UTA), Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group and The Mall Group, are also planning entertainment complexes in Thailand.
UTA’s project is intended to support the growth of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and U-Tapao Airport, while CP Group plans to develop a complex in Bangkok’s Makkasan subdistrict in line with the EEC’s high-speed rail project connecting three major airports (Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi and U-Tapao).
The Mall Group’s complex will be part of a 50-billion-baht mixed-use project in Bangkok’s Bang Na district, which should be partially opened next year.
The group also aims to develop an entertainment complex as part of the 20-billion-baht BLÚ Pearl mixed-use project in Phuket’s Kathu district.
On the international front, five major firms – Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Wynn Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, MGM China Holdings Limited and Hard Rock Café – have shown interest in entering Thailand’s entertainment complex market.
These companies have agreed to the government’s stipulation that casinos occupy only 10-20% of the complex space, but contribute 80% of the total revenue, though they are calling on the government to grant them freedom in choosing their venues. Thai law initially limits entertainment complexes to five areas in the country.
