Nick Candy is selling his £54m superyacht while he builds a better one

If you’re in the market for a new superyacht , Nick Candy’s whopping number might be just what you’re looking for.

The billionaire property tycoon has announced that his lavish superyacht, named 11.11, is now on the market for 59,500,000 Euros (£53,758,547.50) but you better be quick.

The 63-metre long vessel was built in 2015 by the prestigious Italian yacht builder Benetti and scooped a World Superyacht Award in 2016. Candy expects it to be snapped up quickly after demand for high-spec yachts surged during the pandemic, with the super-rich looking for ways to travel in the most Covid-safe way.

Candy said in a statement,'I've been approached over the last few years to sell it – often by charter guests who after spending one or two weeks on board want to buy it – but I've always said no.

'I'm currently nine months down the line with designs for a new and bigger yacht, so now feels like a good time to sell, especially as there is increasing demand for superyachts which are viewed as a safer alternative to shore-based travel due to their natural isolation and self-sufficiency.'

The new owner will find stunning Art Deco-style interiors inside, designed to be brief by Candy and his wife, former actress and singer, Holly Valance. There’s plenty of space for large groups of friends and family. The VIP suite has its own separate lounge and marble bathroom, while the master suite comes with its own private deck, 180-degree views and jet pool. There’s also a nursery and four further guest cabins.

Days can be spent soaking up the rays from the split-level sundeck, with its large Jacuzzi pool and bar. There’s also an on-board spa with a treatment room and steam room, helipad for ferrying guests, a trampoline and a climbing wall, plus heaps of water toys to keep you busy.

Candy said: 'We have made some amazing memories on board over the past five years. The service level on board 11.11 is like no five-star hotel on the planet.

'The crew have taken service, food, hospitality, and maintenance of a superyacht to a whole new level but it's time to move on and build something new that works for our family and lifestyle in the future.

'I have always had a passion for yachts and get huge enjoyment from the project side of building and designing a boat – it is not dissimilar to building a house or an apartment building.'

The 63 metre Benetti motor yacht 11.11 is now jointly listed for sale with Y.CO and Burgess .

Custom-built by Benetti , 11.11 splashed in 2015 and became an instant hit, scooping a number of accolades including a coveted Neptune at the World Superyacht Awards in 2016. Sporting a vertical plumb bow and sleek lines, 11.11 was designed in-house by Benetti and is offered for sale fresh from a multi-million euro refit and five-year survey completed just this year. 

11.11 features Art Deco-inspired interiors by Candy & Candy with flashes of polished stainless-steel, bespoke chandeliers and handpicked Italian marble. A monochromatic colour palette features throughout, contrasting cool beiges and dark patinated wood panelling with white furnishings and one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

She can accommodate up to 14 guests across six cabins including a master suite which sits in pride of place on the upper deck, benefiting from 180-degree views and an entirely private sundeck with a jet pool and sunbathing area that stretches all the way to the bow. The remaining guest accommodation is split between a full-beam main deck VIP with six oversized portrait windows, while two doubles and two convertible twins with additional Pullman berths are found on the lower deck. 11.11 runs with up to 16 crew on board and houses a large main deck galley thanks to her bow design.

Guests benefit from numerous spaces to kick back and relax from her informal skylounge, complete with a custom cocktail bar, to her sprawling sundeck which houses a  Jacuzzi lined with pearlescent mosaic tiles and a spa. Come evening, aperitifs can be enjoyed in the skylounge or main saloon before guests are seated around a backlit onyx dining table.

Other highlights include a touch-and-go helipad on the bow, while 46 underwater lights put on an impressive light show after dark. A large transom garage houses a custom eight-metre Benetti Limo tender - the first tender from the Italian shipyard - as well as a six-metre Novurania RIB and an arsenal of water toys.

11.11 will be attending the Palm Beach International Boat Show later this month. "The yacht has been busy chartering in the Caribbean and the Bahamas this winter season, so this will be a great opportunity for buyers to see her exceptional layout for themselves," said Gary Wright, co-founder and chairman of Y.CO. "Her two master suites, fantastic sun deck, dedicated spa and touch-and-go helipad put her in a league of her own. Fresh from a one-million-euro service, 11.11 will undoubtedly be one of the stars of the show.”

Power comes from a pair of 3512-C Caterpillar engines for a top speed of 17 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economic speed.

Benetti yacht 11.11 is a winner at the 2016 World Superyacht Awards.  She is only the second plumb-bowed boat built by the fabled Italian yard.  This beautiful lady was originally commissioned to look like a Russian Czar’s palace.  Her first owner walked away when the yacht was just 40% complete.  A new owner stepped in to transform the yacht into an award-winning monochromatic masterpiece.  What a fortunate owner!  The current trend is to build yachts with hard, minimalist edges.  This yacht’s main living areas onboard yacht 11.11 offer suppleness and comfort.

CHILD-FRIENDLY HOME, NOT PALACE, ON THE  WATER

Functionality and comfort on board Benetti yacht 11.11 are found everywhere. This is a testament to the owner’s desire to create a home on the water and not a palace.  Especially unique is the “child-proof” design of the interior. Curves replace edges at toddler height.  The seating areas in the lower and upper saloons are clustered around coffee tables that you can bounce off of or fall asleep against. Launched in 2015 by the prestigious Italian yacht builder Benetti, 11.11 was immediately recognised as one of the greats and was awarded a 2016 World Superyacht Award in the category Displacement Motor Yachts 500GT TO 1,299GT.

The 63m (206.7ft) yacht possesses striking looks with her vertical bow, a feature which enhances the fuel efficiency of this family orientated world cruiser. Her stunning aesthetics follow through into her chic interior, crafted by the owner’s personal design team. Drawing inspiration from the Art Deco period, the designer combined cool beiges, dark browns, whites and creams accented with touchable fabrics and hand crafted one-of-a-kind pieces throughout.

She offers accommodation for 12 guests over six well-appointed cabins, including master and VIP suites. The full-beam VIP suite sits on the main deck whereas the master, which comes complete with its own private deck, plunge pool and sunbathing area, is positioned on the upper deck. The guest cabins, found on the lower deck are spacious, light and airy.

The yacht has a beautifully finished interior décor with the finest in Italian marbles, stunning works of art and a true sense of elegance. There is an open plan salon, with formal dining on the main level, this leads forward to the master stateroom, offering a full beam layout, walk-in wardrobe and private study on the inside, and dedicated balcony outside, boasting seating, shade and a jacuzzi.

Included on the upper deck situated forward and full beam of the yacht is a generous VIP suite, showcasing panoramic views.
