Motor yacht GALENE is a striking luxury vessel measuring 55.00m (180' 5") which was built by the Dutch shipyard Amels and launched in 2020. The superyacht features fabulous deck spaces, with beautiful interior design by Laura Sessa, offering an overnight stay for up to 12 guests in 5 ensuite staterooms. Further accommodation is provided for a crew of 11.

When it comes to deck spaces, this yacht has a generous selection of areas for both entertainment, socialisation of relaxation. Moving down from the top, the generous sun deck is perhaps the most popular area for guests to unwind and enjoy the life at sea. One of the preferred features on this deck is the centrally-placed Jacuzzi hot tub, surrounded by large sun pads and further sun loungers placed forward. Amidships, in the more protected/shaded area of the sun deck is a spacious dining area and a bar, while aft we have further seating and sun pads, as well as the storage for jet skis on both sides.
The bridge deck below, features the helm station and the captain’s cabin forward, with further crew accommodation and a separate crew stairwell. Amidships is a lovely and spacious upper lounge with a sofa, armchairs, a piano and a games table. The exterior bridge deck area boasts a huge dining table and additional seating on two l-shaped sofas.

Stairs are leading down onto the main deck, that has a beautiful master suite spreading the entire width of the yacht placed forward, boasting an ensuite bathroom, wardrobes and a balcony. Crew quarters are placed amidships, while the main deck saloon is behind, boasting an elegant dining area, a seating area with a sofa and armchairs and large sliding doors leading onto the spacious main aft deck where we ca find further seating and socialising zone.
The lower deck forward section is dedicated to the crew quarters and accommodation, while approximately amidships we have the guest accommodation with private ensuite bathroom facilities each.
Yacht Accommodation
Luxurious accommodation on board GALENE spreads over five beautifully-appointed luxury staterooms, with private ensuite bathroom facilities. The staterooms include one master suite on the main deck with a king-sized bed and a balcony as an additional special feature. There is also a separate wardrobe for him and her, with a 'his and hers' bathroom. The lower deck has two double cabins with queen-sized beds and two convertible cabins with twin/queen beds and a Pullman berth. All accommodation areas have a deck-head height of 2.07 metres.

Galene's deck offers relaxation and fun with a raised sunbathing area shielded by glass panels, a big Jacuzzi surrounded by sunbeds, and a bar with glass doors for wind protection. A shaded lounging spot provides comfort with movable furniture for versatile use, ensuring every moment aboard is enjoyable.
All-Weather Dining
The bridge deck offers a fantastic alfresco dining option in all conditions, with seating for up to 12 guests around a beautiful teak dining table, sheltered by the sun deck above. Subtle glass panels enclose the space without interrupting the view, ensuring maximum guest comfort.
Galene features three fold down balconies. Two located in the main deck salon, offering indoor outdoor living, and a third in the master cabin for added privacy.
Indoor-Outdoor Spaces
Huge windows flood the contemporary interior with natural light and provide unobstructed views all around. Sliding glass doors can be kept open to extend the space to the exterior and allow a natural breeze, creating seamless indoor-outdoor living.

The bridge deck salon has a 98” flatscreen TV with Apple TV and plush sofa, allowing it to convert into a cinema-like experience for the whole family to enjoy.

Built in 2020 by Amels, the 55-metre GALENE yacht was designed to travel the world and boasts a touch-and-go helipad on her generous sun deck.
The interior of the GALENE motor yacht oozes calm to reflect her name, which means serenity, tranquillity and calmness in Ancient Greek. Designed by Laura Sessa, she’s understated and chic inside, with subtle touches of art deco inspiration.
Your GALENE yacht charter can sleep up to 12 guests in five cabins. The full-beam master cabin has a fold-down balcony where you can enjoy your breakfast or sip your coffee, a king-size bed and his and hers bathrooms. The rest of the accommodation is located on the lower deck and comprises two doubles and two twins.
Yacht Facilities & Entertainment
The sun deck bar of the GALENE yacht offers the best of both worlds: it’s light-filled and offers panoramic views, but the glass doors can be closed to protect you from the wind. The aft lounge can be shaded by awnings to create a comfortable yet cool area to relax while breathing in the fresh sea air.
If you want to bask in the sunshine, the forward sun deck is home to a Jacuzzi that’s fanned by sun pads you can stretch out across and plenty of space forward for sun loungers.
For a truly alfresco meal, head down to the bridge aft deck that seats 12. After dinner, you can retire to the multiple sofas on the aft deck to continue your conversations or move forward to the bridge deck salon and enjoy an after-dinner movie. You’ll find another lounge and a table that seats eight in the main salon below.

Whether you want to learn how to surf, reach eye-popping speeds on the jet ski, or master the latest state-of-the-art water toys, her crew have the expertise to help you master them.
The numerous toys carried by the GALENE motor yacht include Seabobs, wakeboards, wake surfs, waterskis, and a range of inflatable towables. She’s got kayaks, SUPs and snorkel gear for guests who prefer more mindful activities.
There’s also plenty to keep you entertained during beach afternoons, including tennis rackets and a full beach barbecue set-up. With fishing gear onboard, you can even try to catch your supper.
When it’s time to head ashore, GALENE has multiple tenders available.

Motor Yacht
Galene is a custom motor yacht launched in 2020 by Amels, in the Netherlands.
AMELS are masters in the art of modern Dutch high-value yacht building. The yard is the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands and one of the top superyacht builders in the world. In 2005 AMELS launched the successful LIMITED EDITIONS and delivered the first yacht of the series in 2007. The shipyard also specialises in the build of full-custom superyachts, with the in-construction Project Signature due to become the largest superyacht ever built in the Netherlands upon her scheduled launch in 2025.

55m Amels superyacht Galene joins market
The 55-metre Amels superyacht Galene has joined the market with James Pool of Y.CO.
The last in the popular Amels 180 Limited Edition series, Galene was designed by Tim Heywood with interiors by Laura Sessa . The steel and aluminium motor yacht was delivered by the Dutch yard in 2020.
Accommodation is provided for an owner's party of 12 in five cabins, looked after by a crew of 13. The main-deck master cabin sports a fold-out balcony and the main saloon benefits from two balconies.
Two VIP cabins plus a pair of convertible cabins with additional Pullman berths are located on the lower deck. Huge windows flood the main saloon with natural light.
Her sundeck boasts a large Jacuzzi surrounded by sunbeds and a covered bar, protected from the wind by glass doors. Al fresco dining may be enjoyed on the bridge deck, sheltered by the sundeck overhead and subtle glass panels, enclosing the space without interrupting views. The bridge deck saloon has a large TV and with its "plush sofa" converts into a cinema.
Powered by twin MTU diesels, the 671GT yacht for sale has a top speed of 15.5 knots and cruising speed of 13.5 knots. Range is 4,500 nautical miles.
The broker pointed out that Galene is charter ready with an excellent reputation and a wide array of watertoys.
Galene is asking €39,950,000 and will be on display at Monaco Yacht Show.

The galley is equipped with an array of Miele appliances, including a dishwasher, a refrigerator and freezer and an oven/microwave. Outdoor entertainment spaces on Koko vary from the aft deck alfresco dining area to the foredeck’s three-person sun pad. The flybridge offers additional lounge seating abaft the upper helm station and if the midday sun is too much, a Bimini top can offer shade and comfort.  When a successful day of cruising comes to a close, owners and their guests can head belowdecks to one of four staterooms, each en suite. The master stateroom on the SL72 sits amidships, separated from the engine room by a closet and en suite head which helps to keep noise levels low. The forward VIP stateroom on Koko is abaft the crew quarters with a double berth. The final two guest cabins flank the lower deck with a double-berth cabin to starboard and a twin-berth cabin to port.
