54 ft yacht

Following our mantra to build a better boat every day, Viking has consistently brought new and exciting yachts to you since 1964. With multiple generations in various size ranges, our commitment to our customers and level of expertise shine through with every new model.

That proficiency is particularly strong in the 50-to-60-foot sportfish boat genre, where Viking has introduced 10 models in the past two decades. This legacy fleet consists of more than 600 Vikings and includes ground-breaking models such as the 60 and 55, two renditions of the 52 Convertible and the first-generation 54.

"No one has done a better job in this segment of the market," says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. "Over the last 20 years, we've designed more boats from 50 to 60 feet than any other manufacturer in the industry. This is absolutely our sweet spot."

The New Jersey boatbuilding powerhouse has reaffirmed its domination of the mid-size convertible with the new Viking 54. The three-stateroom, two-head open bridge yacht pushes the owner/operator convertible to the highest levels of engineering, performance, accommodations and sportfishing capabilities. The Viking 54 has been a smash hit since making its world premiere at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where hull No. 1 (a Haze Grey thoroughbred with a teak cockpit and a stunning walnut interior) captured the NBC Sports Best of Show Award.

Viking Tradition

The Viking 54 sets new milestones of innovation while integrating ideas garnered from sales and owner feedback, as well as thousands of hours logged by our Viking demo teams on the tournament trail. "We're in a constant state of refinement," says Viking Design Manager David Wilson. "Everything from interior and exterior design and accommodations to performance, fishability and ease of operation are evolving."

The 54 presents an eye-pleasing profile that's unmistakably Viking, with signature design traits such as a gently sloping unbroken S-shaped sheer, aggressively raked stem, double chines, hull-side vents and deftly placed exterior feature lines.

Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software, the Viking Design and Engineering Department has optimized the 54's running surface for maximum performance. Now an integral part of the design process, our in-house CFD allows us to run numerous virtual sea trials to fine-tune the shape of the hull bottom for increased efficiency. We can also analyze pressure distribution, study trim angle and trim tab effectiveness and modify strakes and chine shape and size.

The hull is built with an engineered composite of fiberglass fabrics and coring that's vacuum-infused with vinylester resin. Utilizing a calculated resin-to-fiberglass ratio, great stiffness and strength is brought to the structure while minimizing weight. The structural bulkheads and fuel tanks (which are customized to the shape of the hull) are also resin infused. The hull-to-deck is through-bolted every three inches and fiberglassed from inside for a rock-solid union.

Business End

The 54's business end offers more space than any other boat in its class. The 154-square-foot unobstructed cockpit comes to the fishing wars with the ammunition to put you in the winner's circle, starting with molded non-skid on the cockpit sole for grippy footing (even when wet) and large scuppers to drain water quickly. The cockpit, covering boards and mezzanine can be finished in teak, which also delivers excellent traction with low maintenance.

A walk-through transom door with a lift gate takes the work out of boating a trophy catch. And when you're release-fishing, a three-foot reach to the waterline means you can quickly turn a billfish loose. Anglers will appreciate Viking's signature rounded cockpit coamings and toekick for those lengthy stand-up battles. Flush rod holders, recessed stainless-steel hawse pipes and cleats keep the cockpit clear.

Multiple insulated fishboxes of various capacities increase flexibility. The raised transom box can be used as a live well, fishbox or general storage. A full-length in-deck fishbox spans the starboard side, while the port side holds two storage compartments with the forward serving as an optional live well. A mounting plate laminated into the sole will anchor the mightiest of fighting chairs, and you can also opt for a rocket launcher or table. All in-deck boxes are finished on both sides, and their lids are equipped with latches and thick rubber gasketing to prevent water intrusion. Deep gutters with overboard drains rim the hatch perimeters. A single centerline lazarette hatch (available with power actuation) opens nearly 90 degrees for full viewability and access to the available Seakeeper as well as the steering, trim tabs and drain pumps.

Guests will be enamored with the raised observation mezzanine (pioneered by Viking) as they watch the action in comfort, shaded by the flybridge overhang. Smart storage solutions abound, with freezer and cooler space under the mezzanine for baits and drinks and a tackle cabinet on the starboard side. The inboard portion of the mezzanine provides access to the engineroom. An anodized aluminum ladder with nonslip treads (and a handrail at the top) provides secure egress to the flybridge. In the salon step, an insulated drink box means you can quench your thirst without missing any of the action.

View from Above

A Viking flybridge is a place of never-ending design modification to optimize operator ergonomics, fishability and the comfort and convenience for guests. A streamlined walk-around center console provides 360-degree sightlines. Touchscreen electronics displays and a row of Bocatech switches with power status LED rings are flush mounted in the helm dash. Their installation and positioning heighten viewability and ease of access.

A stainless steel steering wheel and single-lever electronic controls are mounted on a raised teak helm pod. Optimus Electronic Power Steering delivers precise maneuverability and finger-tip control. The console itself is designed with toekick all around for better balance and increased walking area, and the top of the module is radiused inboard for more overall space.

The helm and companion chair (with teak ladder backs) supply ample comfort for those long rides to the canyons, and guests can take it easy in the port or starboard lounges (with forward-facing backrests) or forward console seat. All guest seating doubles as storage for rods, tackle and other gear.

The 54 can be outfitted with a custom designed and fabricated Palm Beach Towers tuna tower and equipped with navigation, communication and entertainment systems from Atlantic Marine Electronics. These two Viking subsidiaries play critical roles in making our yachts turnkey ready.

Interior Delights

Making full use of the 17'8" beam, the 54's layout accentuates the impressive size of her interior. The key to the configuration is the uninterrupted companionway that stretches from the starboard-side salon door all the way to the forepeak. The lounge area and galley are to port, while the dinette is to starboard. "The layout has been a huge success on our 58, and we've been able to bring it to the 54," says David. "It really opens up the entire living space."

High-gloss teak or walnut is offered for the 54's interior, and a satin finish is optional. Premium wall-to-wall carpeting and furnishings can be found throughout the climate-controlled living area. Air conditioning flows quietly from valances for comfortable cooling and thorough distribution. A hi-lo cocktail table joins the L-shaped lounge with storage below. Louvered blinds can be adjusted for desired natural lighting through large salon windows. The headliner features rows of recessed LED dimmable lights separated by walnut or teak strips. Control of the electrical systems is easily managed, with conveniently located distribution panels in the salon on the starboard side and in the galley, each equipped with simple-to-use and clearly labeled conventional breaker switches.

A 50" HD TV is nested on the forward starboard bulkhead above the dinette, which is appointed with a high-gloss mappa burl table and wraparound seating for four. The galley's peninsula countertop features engineered stone with an overhang and two convenient bar stools. The galley is feature-packed with a pair of under-counter Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer units and storage under the peninsula counter. The opposite counter is home to a stainless steel sink with garbage disposal and an electric cooktop. Above, you'll find an array of storage cabinets, one of which holds the microwave/convection oven. Custom Amtico flooring rounds out the galley's amenities.

Comfort Zones

The three-stateroom two-head layout includes a master suite to port with a walk-around queen berth sided by night stands and a credenza to port. There's a large maple-lined storage area beneath the mattress, accessed via a gas piston-assisted lift-up top, and two drawers are integrated into the foot of the bed. A 32-inch HD TV is mounted above a second credenza. A generously proportioned maple-lined hanging locker accommodates a sizeable wardrobe.

The forward stateroom comes standard with a queen berth, but also is available with a crossover berth arrangement. Both plans offer plenty of storage along with a 32" HD TV. The starboard stateroom has upper and lower berths along with a hanging locker and storage under the lower berth. Each stateroom is fully carpeted, with dedicated temperature and stereo controls, speakers and overhead LED lighting.

The heads feature custom Amtico flooring, a lower vanity, a medicine cabinet with mirrored doors, exhaust fans, air conditioning and electric heads with holding tank and overboard discharge capabilities. Both also boast very large walk-in one-piece fiberglass showers with an expansive glass enclosure and door. Below the detachable shower head, you'll find a convenient storage cabinet as well as an integrated fiberglass seat.

Engineering Driven

The optional MAN V12 1550CRM (1550 MHP) diesels power hull No. 1. With this propulsion package, the Viking 54 Convertible will have an estimated cruise speed in the mid-30-knot range with a top end of 40-plus knots depending upon load, sea state and boat condition. A pair of MAN V12 1400CRM (1440 MHP) diesels are standard.

Custom fabricated 1-inch-thick aluminum saddles are used to reinforce the installation of the engines to the yacht's stringer and hull structure. The saddles are permanently affixed to the stringers using a specialized structural adhesive, effectively becoming integral parts of the stringer foundation to distribute the engine loads across the entire hull and stringer structure. The 54 Convertible's custom engineering includes a fuel tank configuration that allows the installation of a sonar tube in the engineroom for Furuno's 360-degree real-time sonar that's become popular on the tournament circuit. The engineroom is also home to a user-friendly 21.5 kW Onan E-QD (electric quiet diesel) Series generator and batteries in custom fiberglass storage boxes.

Systems include Delta-T ventilation and water suppression; automatically or manually operated fire suppression tied into the main engine and generator ignitions; oil changing; fuel transfer and pressurized freshwater. All mechanicals and equipment are installed with great attention to detail in an immaculate engineroom painted with Snow White Awlgrip for visibility and ease of maintenance. Below the water, a series of dedicated pumps for the air conditioning, live wells, washdown and other seawater-fed components have been designed, engineered and installed for durability and longevity.

Tiara’s New 54-Foot Yacht Has a Deck That Transforms Right in Front of You

Tiara EX54 Yacht

Tiara Yachts is a U.S. builder that values adventure as a key piece of its DNA. I’ve done trips on board a number of their boats that were focused on fishing and diving. Those models were built for fun—small and sporty with a wind-in-your-hair vibe.

Tiara EX54 Yacht

The next model down is the new EX54, which debuted at last month’s Miami show. With a length that is six feet smaller, this boat is just as creative with yacht-y accoutrements, along with attention to detail that cements Tiara’s next-generation ambitions. I had a chance to step aboard to see the similarities with the EX60.

The EX54’s’s cockpit will most likely lure many owners away from similar-sized competitors, thanks to its customizability. It comes in three setups that include a social version with two settees facing one another, an adventure configuration that loses the rear settee to make room for dive tanks and scuba gear, or a “glass-patio” design with modular ottomans.

Tiara XL54

The boat in Miami had the double settee which, coupled with mezzanine seating a few steps up and forward, gave this boat the feel of a larger motoryacht, in line with the trend of maximizing the exterior space that is currently in vogue in the superyacht world. The mezzanine seating featured a flip-down teak bar to port with a flip-up window with Australian undertones. I found it a bit odd that the bar was not adjacent to the amidships galley for easier service.

The EX54’s cabin featured two Tiara hallmarks: high-level woodwork and a focus on ergonomics. The teak across the main deck was richly grained, with snug joinery. Handholds were common as well, but discreetly embedded in structures like a dining table and a countertop so as not to dim the yacht’s aesthetic appeal.

Tiara X54 Bow Area

Other nods to onboard comfort can be found down in the full-beam master amidships that is remarkably roomy for a boat this size, a trait that extended to the head where the shower had 6-feet, 8-inches of headroom and enough shoulder space for just about anyone, short of NBA stature, to fit comfortably.

The boat is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS2 950s that is paired with a glass cockpit by Garmin. The joystick control gives the driver excellent slow-speed maneuverability and high-speed handling as well as low noise. In speed tests, the boat reached a top end of 38.7 mph, with a friendly cruise of 30.6 mph that delivered a 334-mile range.

In the end, what you’re getting is a yacht with Tiara’s trademark DNA for adventure and seaworthiness in a package that is decidedly more luxe. It’s a combination that that should be appealing, both to Tiara owners looking to move up, and to owners of foreign-built vessels that may soon come around to the rising tide of American build quality.

Best Full-Size Cruiser 54-58 Feet

  • By Herb McCormick
  • Updated: December 12, 2017

Southerly 540

Winner: Southerly 540

With five nominees, the single largest class in the 2018 BOTY competition also comprised some of the biggest boats in the fleet. Given those numbers, it’s little surprise that the Best Full-Size Cruiser 54 to 58 Feet was also one of the most competitive divisions in the entire contest. Sorting out a winner from this quintet of closely matched yachts proved to be a challenging exercise for our panel of judges.

Designed by Germán Frers and built by the venerable Finnish boatyard, the Swan 54 is a bluewater performance cruiser with long-range aspirations that also could be raced in events like the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. “It has a nice layout on deck,” said Bill Bolin. “There were no cabin-top winches, a trend we’re seeing this year that we haven’t seen before. All the lines come back to coamings along the cockpit, which keeps the cabin top clean. It’s easy to sail and trim this boat. The anchor was self-launching and beautifully executed.”

“Under sail, I thought they did a really nice job of hitting that sweet spot between giving you some control over the rig and keeping it simple,” said Tim Murphy. “We’ve sailed other boats with strings all over the place. It’s clear that a very focused design mind was involved in that deck layout.”

Now in business for around two decades, Discovery Yachts is a British builder that has recently undergone an ownership change. “They’ve definitely been in the bluewater cruising space,” said Murphy when discussing the Ron Holland-designed Discovery 58. “I think there’s a lot of promise in this company. They’ve been around awhile anyway, but I think they’re in growth mode and we’re going to see some fresh things from them.

“This yacht has a deck saloon with a raised cabin,” he continued. “It has one of the biggest navigation stations in the entire fleet, forward facing and at eye level with the cabin ports. There are no engine controls at that helm station below, but it’s a boat where there could be. You’ve got very good visibility, and you could make that a pilothouse situation if you brought your engine controls down there.”

moody 54

Interestingly, the hull of the Moody 54 is the same one employed in the Hanse 575 and 588. “Moodys are now built by the Hanse Group, and what we discovered when we got aboard the 54 is that they’re doing some of the great things Hanse’s doing in terms of their production-line efficiencies and manufacturing processes that have helped them put a lot of value into some pretty sophisticated boats,” said Ed Sherman. “It’s there on the Moody in spades. There are also top-quality component installations. Systems-wise, they use name brands from around the world. But it’s all stuff that most folks that work within the industry are going to be familiar with, which makes it easy to deal with.”

Murphy said, “We’ve seen a trend this year of opening up the side decks, but the Moody was just exemplary. Because it’s a deck-saloon layout, there was a rail inboard that was just beautiful and took you up to the mast. You couldn’t ask for better, smoother handholds with no sharp edges. And then outboard, you have a true stainless-steel rail that goes all the way around the boat. I was really impressed with it.”

In speaking about the Hanse 588, Sherman expanded his thoughts on production building. “This is a high-volume boat, comparatively speaking, and in recent years Hanse has really begun to employ some streamlined manufacturing processes that are now raising the bar,” he said. “The goal is to make the boats as easy to put together for the factory workers as possible, and yet still achieve a high level of quality. Hanse is a company that we’ve had the pleasure of watching evolve in that direction between maintaining a price point and still building a better product that is at a higher degree of fit and finish. This boat did it for me.”

Hanse 588

“Dockside, it’s an attractive boat,” said Bolin. “I like the lines, especially the long, straight, sloping sheer line. The freeboard is quite high, but it gets you that volume inside, for living spaces and tankage and all the other things people want in a big boat like this. Our experience handling the boat was surprising; it snapped-to and did what it needed to do. The 110 hp Volvo pushed the boat along nicely. And when we were motoring, it was very quiet down below. It really struck me as being a solid boat.”

The final boat in this group was the Southerly 540, the signature feature of which is a variable-draft cast-iron swing keel that draws nearly 11 feet when in the full down position and a mere 3 feet 1 inch when raised. “It delivers the best of both worlds,” said Murphy. “When you’re out in the ocean, you want a boat that can handle waves and big seas. But the best part of the cruising life is at the edges where water meets land. The Southerly will take you to both of those places. With the keel down, you’ve got 11 feet under you and all the pointing ability that goes with that. So it’s a deepwater boat but also one you can dry out. It can go places most cruising boats can’t ever go. So the world is very, very opened up.”

“The swinging keel system is very robust,” said Bolin. “It looked foolproof, with a hydraulic ram driving a block-and-tackle system with Spectra line on it. You push a couple of buttons and it goes down to your pre-punched-in level. It takes a few seconds. Under sail, I was amazed that we were under load, closehauled, and [the owner] changed the keel configuration. With all the forces acting on it I didn’t think it would move, but it came right up.”

“The build quality was outstanding,” said Sherman. “It sailed beautifully. It’s a true global cruiser.” For the judges, that combination of traits was irresistible. Which is why they named the Southerly 540 the Best Full-Size Cruiser 54 to 58 Feet.

GB54 EXTERIOR

The classic silhouette of the Grand Banks, complemented by a gracefully curved sheer line and an innovative hull design and construction process, provides a sophisticated profile that enhances aesthetics while also ensuring optimal performance and fuel efficiency. Expansive decks offer ample space for relaxation and entertaining, featuring wide side decks with high bulwarks and handholds, as well as an extended boat deck that shelters the aft deck from the elements. Careful attention to detail in the craftsmanship showcases the yacht's luxurious appeal, exemplifying the perfect blend of timeless elegance and functionality.

GB54 INTERIOR

Our interiors are a reminder that timeless elegance, indulgent luxury, and practical seamanship can all co-exist equally. The handcrafted wood finishes created by artisans, fine fabrics and leathers sewn by our own in-house upholstery team, and custom fit and finish to each owner's desires all combine to create a yacht that cannot be achieved by any other builder. Designed and engineered for enhanced rigidity by fusing the bulkheads and fixed furniture with the hull, our yachts feature meticulously planned internal layouts during the early design stages. This allows for flexibility in galley placement and stateroom configurations to optimize space utilization and storage. Our craftsmen take great care to ensure that every inch of the yacht is thoughtfully designed to enhance your enjoyment onboard.

WHAT OWNERS SAY ABOUT GRAND BANKS YACHTS

EASTBAY 44 OWNER

““We love our overnight trips. Recently we came down from Yamba to Sydney, about 300 nautical miles and, although we sat on 24 knots the whole way, we were only burning 100 litres (26 gallons) of fuel an hour!!! The EB44 is the best thing we’ve done for the family… we call it the ‘family wagon’”

MATT SPENCER , EASTBAY 44 OWNER

GRAND BANKS 60 OWNER AND 8 TIMES AMERICA’S CUP PRO SAILOR.

“This is my 4th Grand Banks and I’ve always liked them – they’re sea-kindly, fast and fuel efficient. But the stuff Mark Richards has done has made them even better. He’s raised the game and they’re now next generation in terms of design. My wife and I love cruising on it – each August we live onboard for 30-40 days. She feels very safe as it has a really nice ride. And we love the style and the lines.”

TOM WHIDDEN , GRAND BANKS 60 OWNER AND 8 TIMES AMERICA’S CUP PRO SAILOR.

GRAND BANKS 60 OWNER

“I was in Mexico when COVID hit and had to get home. I had an 1,100nm trip, uphill (upwind & up current) and, let me tell you, the boat did better than I did! I had to keep going day and night. Almost no boat of this size can go from Puerto Vallarta to San Diego non-stop. And thanks to the hull shape and lightweight carbon superstructure, it’s amazingly efficient.”

GARY WEISMAN , GRAND BANKS 60 OWNER

GRAND BANKS 60 OWNER

“The range of the boat had huge appeal. Because of the V-Warp® Technology hull that slips so easily through the water, the weight reduction of the carbon fibre and the new Volvo engines, we could simply go further with less stops. Of course, it saves money but the real plus is the convenience. At 10 knots I can travel for over 2000 nautical miles without refuelling. As a sailor, I don’t like to stop once I get going!”

JOHN BACON , GRAND BANKS 60 OWNER

Even the best thing in the world can be improved, at least in parts. Taking advantage from our experience as well as listening to suggestions coming from our owners, captains and experts, we constantly and rigorously test every new Swan model, from launch through early life in order to improve our boats – keeping them updated in terms of technology, safety, comfort and changes in regulations. This passionate attention to improvement is one of the key reasons why Swan yachts are the most appreciated boats in the world. This process was obviously applied to our successful and beloved Swan 54.

The outstanding Swan 54 just got even better.

54 ft yacht

The architect

Germ á n frers.

This is the second generation of blue water cruising yachts, designed for Nautor. She has been refined in all departments and stands out in the crowd because of her design and the inherent quality of her construction. This is a sailing yacht, large enough for a group of six to cruise in comfort but small enough to be able to be sailed and maintained by her owners. This is the boat anybody like me, with a wealth of offshore racing experience and a taste for blue water cruising with family and friends, or young people looking to have the adventure of their lives, would dream to own and enjoy in all places of the world without limitations of any sort. She is graceful, elegant and good-looking, the freeboards and overhangs are well proportioned and will have timeless appeal.

Form and function are in complete harmony. Her hull lines are sweet and undistorted and she has an easy motion at sea, no pounding when powering upwind against a moderate chop. The prismatic coefficient was planned for above average all around speed over 8 knots. The waterplane area as a result of the relatively long waterline coupled with a high center of buoyancy contribute in great part to the form stability thus, the relatively low ballast to displacement ratio to enhance a good soft motion. Both appendage configurations will be moderately loaded while going upwind and never stall and there is plenty of steering control in all conditions. The deck is minimalistic in design and well married to the hull in appearance. Surfaces are clean and uncluttered facilitating sail handling and the movement of crew while sailing or at anchor. Her rig completes the equation, She will be a joy to sail.

54 ft yacht

The deck layout has been developed to meet two fundamental objectives: ensure comfortable sailing with limited crew and provide areas designed to best enjoy life onboard. The transom opens fully into a wide swim platform allowing direct access to the sea. The positioning of the mainsheet on the coachroof, rather than in the cockpit, allows the use of the wide bimini while sailing. The bimini, together with the sprayhood which is recessed and retractable, provides complete protection from the elements. The four standard electric winches in the cockpit, close to the helmsman, facilitate easy sailing with limited crew. The generous stowage volumes, including the sail locker in the bow and full lazarette in the stern area, enable all equipment, such as a RIB (inflatable), fenders and sails to be safely stowed yet remain easily accessible.

MODEL YEAR 2019

For Model Year 2019 we are pleased to present to you the latest features and improvements which have been implemented for deck gear, that is:

  • Swimming ladder integrated into the transom with a dedicated opening, well designed and functional for swimming
  • Engine throttle: new model, more premium feel and in line with the cruising purpose of the boat
  • Re-designed anchor locker with more space for optional additional chain and a proper top inspection suitable to wash the chain
  • New solution for chain access below deck, with preventer for water flow
  • Added stainless steel hand hold on the upper part of the pedestals

54 ft yacht

The interior designer

Heini gustafsson.

Similar to the deck layout, the interior has been designed to ensure maximum comfort for long periods, both under sail and at anchor. This original configuration offers three double cabins, with the owner’s cabin forward and two guest cabins, one central and the other aft. There is also a fourth cabin dedicated to systems and storage, including the generator and washing machine, with the possibility to add a work table so as to convert it into a crew cabin. A configuration perfectly suited for extended bluewater cruising and lengthy stays aboard. The saloon has a ‘c’ shaped sofa, which is three metres long, with a central table and two stylish chairs.

While opposite, there is the chart table with a generous navigational station, with plenty of space for electronics. There is also the option of a foldaway table, allowing additional seating. The galley, one of the largest in this class of yacht, is three metres long, offers generous counter and storage space, along with the possibility of three refrigerators. Located in the most stable part of the boat and close to the companionway, one can cook comfortably even while underway. The use of natural oak throughout, combined with the quality finish and materials Swan is known for, creates a bright and refined interior

54 ft yacht

For Model Year 2019 we are pleased to present to you the latest features and improvements which have been implemented for interior functionality, those are:

  • Aft guest cabin: floor in one level, without any step
  • Port guest cabin amidship: increased width of the bed (not for opt centerboard keel solution)
  • Enhanced access to engine with one single larger panel on port cabin
  • Less intrusive door handles to enhance the space in the passages
  • New Fusion stereo with remote bluetooth connection

54 ft yacht

Bluewater sailing is a concept that encompasses a world of open spaces, far horizons and long distance cruising: in this sense, the Swan 54 is a pure bluewater cruiser. She is conceived to be the perfect boat for extensive living on board, to enjoy the best cruising locations all over the World. The moderate displacement hull and high performance lead keel give the Swan 54 a particularly stable and smooth motion in a seaway. She is fast and powerful in all conditions, giving a feeling of complete safety at the same time. In addition, the high aspect ratio of the rudder provides impressive control, increasing the pleasure of helming. The contained freeboard and deep V hull, ensures smooth sailing in rough conditions and enhanced stability at anchor or when manouvering in windy conditions. Sailing on the Swan 54 is a pure joy: cockpit ergonomics and deck gear organisation are designed to always offer the most comfortable and well protected position, allowing the helmsman to control every trim with complete autonomy. If your favourite cruising area has shallow waters, the Swan 54 is also available with variable draught (1.40 to 3.70 metres), with an efficient daggerboard and twin rudders. Beautiful, fast, comfortable, laden with clever features and details to enjoy the sea and the environment, she is a yacht for life, to love and to be proud of.

The two architects behind this free-flowing, wonderfully nimble 54-footer are Roberto Biscontini and Lorzenzo Argento, whose creation paves the way for a new generation of high-end cruisers that optimize cockpit and interior layouts without any sacrifices to performance , practicality, or comfort.

The yacht carries the unmistakable DNA of the Oceanis range, a delicate balance of form and function that make her as pretty as she is capable, and as focused as she is versatile, equally ready for a fast ocean passage or a leisurely double-handed sunset cruise. With an emphasis on build quality, high-end materials, and the innovative vision that has always been a staple of the BENETEAU brand, the Oceanis Yacht 54 truly represents the pinnacle of the modern monohull cruising design.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

With a straight stem allowing for new interior volumes in the bow area, and a maximum beam (5 m) carried further aft, the Oceanis Yacht 54 offers a state-of-the-art, perfectly balanced hull that maximizes thrills in all conditions.

Movement on deck was given special attention, particularly around the cockpit, which modernizes the traditional center cockpit design into a flush layout with distinct areas dedicated to lounging and sailing. Aptly drawn coamings and high bulwarks provide increased safety while transiting to the foredeck, and access to the sea is provided by the spacious swim platform, which, when deployed, reveals the space below the cockpit to store an eight-foot inflatable tender.

The Oceanis Yacht 54 is available with two different drafts: 2,50 m (standard), 1,95 m (option).

54 ft yacht

Interior Design

Lorenzo Argento’s objective in designing the interior was to create a warm, modern atmosphere with as much natural light and ventilation as possible.

The Oceanis Yacht 54’s layouts reflect a desire to meet the needs of modern-day owners, through well-engineered, versatile cabin arrangements that provide unrivaled levels of comfort and capacious storage space. Tables and seating areas have been reimagined to offer both conviviality and practicality, and access to all major systems and components hides in plain sight.

There are two versions available, a 3-cabin 2-head or a 3-cabin 3-head, and both can be built using light oak or walnut.

54 ft yacht

Every detail of the Oceanis Yacht 54 has been meticulously examined to become one with the crew and the sea.

She is, at a glance, unmistakably Oceanis – the mainsail arch, the modern sheerline, the elegant proportions, those distinctive coamings and portholes – and honors her pedigree by continuing to offer the features that have made the range a standard-bearer in the industry. A vast array of options, trim levels, rigging and keel setups, and mechanical components ensure there will be a tailored yacht to fit the needs of every sailor, and her stylish looks will turn heads in every harbor on every ocean.

54 ft yacht

Safe and Easy Sailing

The Oceanis Yacht 54 isn’t just modern on the outside; it is a yacht that is crammed with the latest and greatest sailing technologies, intuitively built into her systems, that are designed to make the cruising experience as easy and as enjoyable as possible. Ship Control, an interface that allows access to boat data and components, is installed as standard. Under sail, the optional Harken AST (assisted sail trim) automatically trims the sails based on apparent wind, all controlled by a simple display in the cockpit. Shorthanding a 54-footer has never been easier.

Great Ease of Movement

The flush cockpit allows for seamless movement between the companionway and the helm stations, creating an invisible partition between active and passive areas on deck. The flow to the aft swim platform and down the gangways to the foredeck is remarkably natural, and the positioning of lines, winches and controls allows for near-effortless sailing. Sightlines from the helm forward are excellent. The cockpit seats feel comfortable yet snug, though it is the foredeck sunpad that is likely to be the most popular spot on the boat.

Exclusive Trim and Materials

A close inspection of the Oceanis Yacht 54’s engineering and build quality reveals a craft that is decidedly a cut above the rest. Every single aspect of the boat has been carefully reexamined and nothing has been taken for granted - from the high-quality door fixtures and upholstery, to the exquisite molded woods of the interior, to the aluminum sub-floor that increases rigidity yet saves weight. The owner will be able to choose between two cabin layouts (both with two wood options available) and a palette of upholstery and paneling choices, to say nothing of electronic, mechanical, and rigging selections. Whatever the choice, on such a beautifully executed boat, the owner is bound to be one with the boat, and one with the sea.

A connected boat

The mobile application, Seanapps , and its onboard unit lets you view the status of the boat's various systems (battery charge, fuel or water tank levels, maintenance scheduling) via your smartphone, as well as planning your route or reviewing your sailing status using your mobile phone.
