The Lagoon 60 catamaran, launched in 2024, sits comfortably between the Lagoon 55 and the Lagoon 65, offering an enticing size of balance of size, comfort, and performance.

Living Area

One of the standout features of the Lagoon 60 is its spacious and well-thought-out living area. The saloon is open and airy, thanks to large panoramic windows that allow natural light to flood the interior, creating a sense of space and connection with the surroundings.

The layout is practical and elegant, with a large U-shaped sofa that can comfortably seat a group, making an ideal space for socializing or relaxing. The galley is seamlessly integrated into the living area, featuring modern appliances, ample storage, and a large countertop.

The use of high-quality materials and finishes throughout the living area speaks to Lagoon’s commitment to luxury and comfort. The color scheme is neutral and sophisticated, enhancing the overall sense of calm and relaxation.

The Lagoon 60 is designed not just for comfort but also to sail. It features a powerful sail plan that gets this yacht moving through the water when the wind freshens. Granted, she won’t accelerate as quickly as a performance cat with all of that space and weight, but with a powerful sail plan, she is no slow coach either.

Following the design of the 55, the rig is stepped further forward compared to previous models and she comes with an overlapping genoa for more power upfront giving you more flexibility versus a self-tacking solent. The flip-side is that there is more work when you tack.

She comes with either a high roach mainsail (135 m² /1,453 sq. ft.) or a square top mainsail (143 m² / 1,539 sq. ft) and a 87 m² / 936 sq. ft overlapping genoa giving you an upwind sail area of up to 230 m² / 2,475 sq.ft. Add the optional Code 0 and gennaker for maximum power in lighter winds. There is also a staysail for feistier conditions.

The yacht is equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation and control systems.

Main features.

The Lagoon 60 is packed with features that set it apart from the competition. Lagoon have enlarged the flybridge with 360-degree views and a spacious lounging area, which is perfect for sunbathing, enjoying a sunset cocktail or helming.

Another highlight is the hydraulic platform at the stern, which doubles as a tender lift and a private beach when lowered.

Outside Living Space

The outside living spaces on the Lagoon 60 are as impressive as the interior. The aft cockpit is a continuation of the saloon, a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. It’s equipped with a large dining table and plenty of seating, making it a great spot for alfresco dining.

The forward cockpit offers another outdoor area to relax, complete with comfortable seating and sun pads. This area is ideal for enjoying the breeze while under sail in calmer conditions or for quiet moments at anchor.

The huge aft cockpit opens fully out onto the water at anchor with hull sides that hinge down to create an even bigger platform, wider than the yacht’s already generous 32ft beam.

The Lagoon 60’s hulls house the sleeping quarters, with several layout options available. Layouts include five cabins with a bridgedeck galley, or four cabins in a “galley-down” set up in the port hull, accessed by its own stairs. This version has a small bar area on the bridgedeck, and a larger saloon. The cabins are spacious, with large windows that offer views of the sea.

Storage space is abundant, with plenty of lockers and wardrobes to keep belongings organized and out of sight. The design of the hulls maximizes space.

The Lagoon 60 catamaran is an impressive blend of luxury, performance, and innovative design. Its spacious living areas, both inside and out, will make it a top choice for those who value comfort while cruising. The sailing performance is strong, with the yacht offering both stability and speed. The trade off for all of that space is the weight, so you will need the engine in light winds, but once the wind picks up she will sail well, especially if you have the Code 0.

There is a reason that Lagoon have the largest market share in the global catamaran market, and that is because they understand their market. This yacht is another evolution that will add to the success of the French manufacturer.

Lagoon 60 first look: New catamaran with several innovations

The new Lagoon 60 features hull sides that hinge down offering an extremely wide area for entertaining and relaxing at anchor

This full flybridge design fills a big slot that previously existed between the Lagoon 55 that was launched in 2021 and the more lavishly appointed Sixty 5. The new Lagoon 60’s huge aft cockpit can be fully opened out onto the water, including hull sides that hinge down like butterfly wings, creating an area even wider than the yacht’s generous 32ft beam allows.

There’s also a large forward cockpit on the same level as the saloon, and with direct access, making this an ideal yacht for larger parties.

Layout options include five cabins with a bridgedeck galley, or four cabins with the galley in the port hull, accessed by its own stairs. This version also has a smaller bar area on the bridgedeck, along with a larger saloon.

As with the 55, the rig is stepped further forward than on earlier models and is fitted with overlapping headsails. Naval architect VPLP says these offer more flexibility and efficiency on a boat of this type than the near ubiquitous non-overlapping jibs of today’s yachts.

The towering air draught of almost 100ft (30m) allows a generous sail area, even though the flybridge means the boom of this multi-story vessel is several metres above the waterline. Despite an unladen displacement of 32 tonnes, if the Lagoon 55 and 51 (launched 2022) are anything to go by, the Lagoon 60 will sail a lot better than the enormous windage suggests.

It’s a format that’s now well proven – Lagoon celebrates 40 years in business this year and has built more than 7,000 yachts. The first Lagoon 60 is already complete and will initially premiere at an open event at the yard in Bordeaux, rather than at La Grande Motte. It will feature Lagoon’s innovative new furling boom system for easier sail handling.

The flybridge version with a retractable roof offers enough space for a dining area with a small lounge and a dedicated helm station. For owners who do not need the additional space of the 62 3-deck configurations, the flybridge version offers enough space and outstanding 360° visibility.

Silent 62 3-Deck Open

An additional open deck instead of the flybridge combines the benefits of larger catamarans with the compact dimensions of the 60 Series. The open sky lounge is a fantastic outdoor community space, equipped with a full dining area including a panoramic view and a superyacht atmosphere.

The closed version of the 62 3-Deck further develops her character as a compact superyacht. Providing additional indoor space, the closed third deck is available in two options: a choice between a sky lounge or an exclusive owner’s deck makes sure it can be tailored towards individual needs.

Kite sail system

Adding the option of a fully automatic towing kite gives the 60 Series the opportunity to make use of the wind without shading the panels. The either 9m² or 12 m² sized kite flies at heights where winds are much stronger, thus being able to create up to 10x more pulling power compared to a conventional sail.

Self-sufficient lifestyle

Designed from the ground up to be fully autonomous. By being able to produce your own energy and water while making use of coolable food supplies for storage as well as a worldwide internet connection, you have the possibility of creating a fully self-sufficient lifestyle on board.

Bridgedeck storage

Under the bridge deck, there are two spacious storage boxes for SUPs, surfboards, small RIBs or compact sailboats. Both of them can be accessed either from the aft cockpit deck or directly from the hydraulic tender lift.

Owner's suite

Being able to design the 60 Series with an exclusive owner’s suite on the 3rd deck us unique amongst 60-foot catamarans. The suite itself is fully equipped with an en-suite bathroom and measures 23 m² in size. It also gives direct access to the 36 m² lounge area in the aft.

Description.

First unveiled during Cannes Yachting Festival 2019, the Sunreef 60 E was second to join Sunreef Yachts Eco’s range of sustainable catamarans . With electric propulsion and smart energy management systems, eco yachts offer a silent, vibration-free cruising experience which complements its responsible approach towards nature.

The owner’s fascination with cutting-edge technology, safety, efficiency, care for the environment, and most importantly, love for sailing combined to create the Sunreef 60 “E” concept. To make this vision a reality, he turned to Sunreef Yachts, the world’s leading custom electric catamaran designer and manufacturer.

The Sunreef 60 “E” revealed the finest details crafted using weight-efficient and sustainable materials , such as reclaimed teak for flooring, compressed paper for countertops, titanium for railings, as well as textile rigging and recyclable sails. She features a revolutionary all-carbon fiber bimini featuring in-house engineered solar panels, capable of generating 4.5kW.

Powered from 2 x 80kW battery bank, the eco yacht’s twin 75kW engines allow for up to six hours of motoring in complete silence. The batteries onboard the solar catamaran enable operations for all the appliances up to 24 hours and power all-night air-conditioning.

This listing is for a custom built 2018 Sunreef 60 catamaran with 6-9 months from order.

The new Sunreef 60 catamaran is inspired by the future, yet relies on past design principles of proper proportions, elegant lines and unsurpassed build quality. She embodies a completely fresh superstructure concept, a saloon layout plan with an outstanding potential for customization. The new Sunreef Yachts 60′ catamaran features a vast, central lounging space with panoramic views and endless layout possibilities by opening forward onto the bow terrace and aft into the spacious cockpit.

As with all   Sunreef catamarans from 50′ to 165′  this 60’ yacht can be fully customized to owner’s specifications. Various layout options are available as well.

While housing the main helm, the 400 sqft flybridge is dedicated to leisure with more than enough space for movable furniture, a Jacuzzi, fully-equipped wet bar, a barbecue and large sun pads.

The hulls of the new Sunreef 60’ catamaran provide impressive volumes to set up a custom layout including airy, luxurious guest cabins and an opulent master suite with a walk-in dressing, desk, sofa, retractable TV and an immense bathroom. A perfect setting to unwind and relax after a long day in the sun.

Design process:.

The design of the Ocean Eco 60 by HENNDESIGN is shaped around a new solar and electric approach towards catamaran yachting. Different to other catamarans the technology is not an add-on but a central design feature. The most obvious feature that underlines that fact is the aggressive roof line that comes down to the hull and therefore creates a larger roof surface for solar panels.
