Expertly crafted in Plymouth, England, since 1965, Princess Yachts meticulously builds its yachts to the highest standards. This British luxury yacht manufacturer offers semi-custom, premium fibreglass yachts, ranging from 13 to 40 meters in length. Originally founded under the name Marine Projects, the first flybridge GRP luxury motor yacht from the yard was launched in 1974. Over the years the size of Princess Yachts luxury vessels continued to grow, with the yard launching its first 25-meter yacht in 2001. Since its humble beginnings, Princess Yachts has designed and built yachts that bring their owners dreams to life. Owned by luxury conglomerate LVMH, its shipyard, which spans over 1.1 million square feet is located on the edge of the English Channel – a region well known from its rich British maritime heritage. The South Yard, for example, where its M Class superyachts are built, is a former naval yard from the 17th century. Over the years, the company has developed a culture of innovation, offering its customers some of the most technologically advanced, as well as most beautiful yachts in the world. David King founded Princess Yachts as Marine Projects Ltd. in 1965 in England. The company was officially named Princess Yachts International in 2001. With 50 years of yacht-building experience, Princess Yachts has grown to be an industry leader and is regarded for its contemporary yacht design, which embodies hand-crafted, hand-finished detailing.
Combining innovative technology and elegant design, Princess has been an active partner in technology working groups and has expertise in resin infusion, which reduces weight and increases fuel efficiency and hull performance.

With every inch of space utilised whilst ensuring light open spaces throughout each deck, the new Y72 houses design features comparable to larger Y Class yachts. Flexibility is key on board, with adaptable fixtures and fittings to suit you – her sociable layout within the main saloon combines a bar area and open plan galley, complemented by a state-of-the-art Naim audio system. Open up to the world with glass sliding doors between the main saloon and cockpit areas with an integrated opening window aft of the galley. Enjoy water sports with ease with her large transom featuring a foldaway swim ladder and shower. Modern and classic tones matched with light woods and panoramic windows creates an enviable onboard space to while away those long summer days.
Below deck, eight guests are comfortably accommodated across four cabins, each with their own accessible ensuite. The full beam master stateroom takes pride of place with its own private entrance via spiral staircase from the saloon – with ample storage space, a large ensuite bathroom plus a 49″ LED TV with Naim audio, luxury can be experienced on board. Further aft there is a crew or optional guest cabin, featuring two single berths and a private ensuite.
The all-new Princess Y72 benefits from a new hull form designed and engineered by Princess Yachts. This design delivers improved fuel efficiency and performance, maximises the space on board and retains premium guest comfort whatever the sea conditions.
