Suunto Yachtsman Watch features an accurate calendar watch with a countdown timer and dual time display, Suunto 's famous digital compass , a barometer , and a sailing timer designed to meet the timing requirements before and during a tough race. In spite of the abundance of features, Suunto Yachtsman is extremely user-friendly and has easy-to-use logic, a large display with big numerals and an electro-luminescent backlight for dimly lit conditions.

Suunto Yachtsman combines exclusive looks with the rock solid construction. It is shockproof and waterproof to 30 m (100 ft). The non-allergenic aluminum casing and the durable mineral crystal glass combined with a weatherproof leather band make it the ultimate tool for discerning boaters.

No matter where you are sailing, Suunto Yachtsman keeps you on time. The calendar watch is pre-programmed to the year 2089, has 3 daily alarms, a regular stopwatch, sailing timer and a dual time function. The sailing timer allows you to easily set the correct sequence and synchronize the timer with the race committee with the push of a button. Large numerals and audible warning signals let you concentrate more on maneuvering your boat in the swarming of the start while Suunto Yachtsman keeps you informed on up-coming critical moments. The race timer range of the stopwatch is 120 hours. You can store fifty split times in the memory for later analysis. The sailing timer has been developed together with some of the top sailors in the world, with experience from the Whitbread Around the World ocean race to the dinghy and keel boat World Championships .

The electronic compass displays the bearing and the cardinal or half-cardinal point and a North-South arrow, and features a bearing tracking function that displays the locked bearing, the actual bearing and the difference between the two. Suunto Yachtsman also allows for declination adjustment. The rotating bezel with a ratchet at every five degrees combined with the compass is especially useful when defining the start line bias or memorizing the wind direction before the start of a race. Suunto Yachtsman displays the current barometric pressure and temperature as well as the pressure-related data for the past four days. It also shows you the present sea level pressure, which makes it easier to read and understand the barometric pressure. Suunto Watch from Yachtsman Series is not only an essential navigational tool for all sailing enthusiasts but it is also a reliable timekeeper and an important racing aid.
