Formed in 1986, Hillarys Yacht Club is located on the Northern side of the Hillarys Marina overlooking the pristine waters of the Indian Ocean. With only a 20 minute drive from Perth CBD and 10 minutes from the City of Joondalup, Hillarys Yacht club creates an ideal setting for your next event!

Hillarys Yacht Club is a unique venue in Perth offering superb facilities. The calm waters of the Indian Ocean provide great views and an ideal setting for your coming event and in addition, provides secure on-site parking, versatile club rooms and flexibility to make your event a success.

Our Functions Manager and dedicated staff would be pleased to assist with every aspect of your forthcoming function such as room set-up, menu selection, beverage requirements, musicians or entertainment, estimated number of guests and any of the equipment that may be required.

Of course, we work with some of Perth's best suppliers here at Hillarys Yacht Club. We have compiled a list of our favourite vendors to work with, from make up artists to videographers. Please let us know if you'd like a copy, and we'll send one through.

This depends on the club’s function diary in the week leading up to your Wedding. If there is a function in your venue the night before your own, the room will base set once it has been vacated. If this is the case, yourselves and your suppliers should be able to access your venue from 9am on the day of your Wedding. If your venue has been base set prior to the day of your Wedding, because there were no functions the night before, you should be able to access it once base setting has been completed. We can check availability in the weeks leading up to your Wedding but please keep in mind that functions may be booked in with little notice. Please confirm bump in and out times with us.

If it rains on the day of your wedding, don't worry! We are able to hold your ceremony on our upstairs Harbour Room balcony - which is undercover and overlooks the stunning Hillarys Marina.

We are a bit hesitant when it comes to storing the beautiful creation that is your wedding cake. We do have fridges that we can put your cake in, but it is at your own risk, only because the fridges are used by staff members and suppliers. We won't be able to keep an eye on it before the Reception, but we will take every precaution if you go ahead with the storage.

We sure do. Our buffets are fully labeled, so guests with dietaries can see what they are able to eat from the items you have selected. For set menus, our chefs will provide a completely separate meal that suits all the different types of dietaries.

Hillarys Yacht Club is an exceptional waterfront wedding venue with direct views of the Indian Ocean and yachts in the Marina.

For your wedding day, you will find many options for indoor and outdoor wedding venues to suit your needs. • Harbour Room can host up to 250 seated guests in theatre style and 200 seated guests with round tables. It is the most popular room with beautiful views over the Indian Ocean to one side and stunning Hillarys Boat Harbour on the other. Also, it has a lovely balcony. • Marina Room can host up 120 seated guests in rounds, and up to 200 guests in theatre style. It has incredible views on the lower level of the Club. It also has direct access on the outdoor Boardwalk. • Reflections is a small private room that can host up to 40 seated guests in rounds, and up to 80 guests for theatre style. It has an impressive view over the Marina. It is suitable for intimate weddings and events. • Meeting Room is a boardroom style set up which can host up to 40 guests in theatre style and 25 guests in boardroom style. It is suitable for intimate dinners and gatherings. • Broadwalk Ceremony area has a capacity of 20 guests for your ceremony. This place, which is close to all reception areas, allows you to organise your ceremony and reception at one place.

Hillarys Yacht Club Wedding

Hillarys Yacht Club is a great wedding venue, with views over Hillarys Boat Harbour as well as the Indian Ocean. We have photographed weddings where the ceremony is also at the same venue, with a stunning backdrop down on the boardwalk. 

If you are looking for a wedding venue where there is no travel required, this is where Hillarys Yacht Club is a great option. If you have a gap in between your ceremony and reception, guests can relax onsite, as it's lovely sitting on the boardwalk looking out over all the boats in the harbour. If they feel like doing some exploring, they can wonder up to the seawall or pop across to the shops on the other side of the harbour. 

For photos with your bridal party, the time you have in between your ceremony and reception will dictate just how far we can venture for your photos. The sea wall up the end of the road the yacht club is on works well, especially on a windy day as you can get in really close to the limestone wall to be protected from the wind. If you have access to transport then you can pop to one of the nearby rocky beaches to the south of Hillarys, otherwise there is a great beach just over the road from the Yacht Club. The landscaping up near this beach access is also an option for some greenery in your wedding photos. 

If you have a shorter gap, or would prefer to stay onsite then the jetty is the perfect spot to head to. The Yacht Club will open up the main jetty for your bridal party so you can have photographs taken amongst the boats. 

And then it's time for the wedding reception! The staff at this venue are lovely and always organised ready to go. The balcony is a bonus for when you want a little fresh air, it is just lovely sitting out there on a still night, looking at the lights from the harbour.

Formed in 1986, Hillarys Yacht Club resides in the Hillarys Marina overlooking the pristine waters of the Indian Ocean.

The Club has come a long way since then and it is renowned for its range of social and competitive sailing activities as well as diving activities, angling, power boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, social events and on water training courses.

Hillarys Yacht Club is an active family recreational facility and a thriving enterprise. It boasts a large Clubhouse as well as 270 on the water pens, boat lifting and racking services and junior club house.

Hillarys Yacht Club’s second storey restaurant, function room and ocean view bar showcases some of the best views along the northern coastline and is the premier water sports Club of the Northern Suburbs.
