Food is amazing , the view is breathtaking and the staff is absolutely the best . And that pretty much wraps up this experience :) We were there for a private event and the weather was beautiful , that made the view even better with all the boats on the water . Their wine selection is great and the food was outstanding...
We stopped in the other day to support a cause we believe in CIRI The CT Institute for Refugees and Immigrants. The function was well attended and the food and drinks served by the staff was excellent. The views were tremendous. So glad I was able to support such a good cause at the Yacht Club.
Our family recently joined Black Rock and absolutely love it. The junior activites; swim team, tennis, sailing are awesome! The location on the water is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. Love it!
My grandparents have been Black Rock members for many years now, and I've spend many-a-mothersdaybirthdayindependencedaysummer here. First off, I'll say that the area surrounding the club is beautiful and quiet. The club itself has tennis courts and a large outdoor swimming pool, though the parking lot is somewhat small. Despite this, I've never had an issue getting a parking spot. The food can be hit or miss. I've always loved their crab cakes, but found much of their other food options are inconsistent. Their barbecue is just OK, but probably priced appropriately. I've eaten creamy pasta dishes that are flavorful and delicious; yet, when my mom ordered fish with spaghetti it literally looked like it came from a child's menu- dried out red sauce with an unappealing semi-breaded fish plopped on top. The steaks are usually cooked well and presented beautifully. All in all it just depends on what you order! But the last time I ate there if you'd looked at our table of entrees you would not have thought they all came from the same kitchen. Can't really comment about membership fees, club perks, etc because I'm not a member here myself.

Waterfront Living In Southwest Connecticut
The Black Rock Yacht Club was founded in 1926 on part of the site of the former George Hotel. The private club sits along Long Island Sound and the entrance to Black Rock Harbor. Sailors compete in races with other Bridgeport yacht clubs and regional sailing events. Instructional programs and races are also available for children.
In addition to sailing, members enjoy a wide range of recreational and social activities. The large swimming pool hosts junior swim and diving programs. The pool area and snack bar also allow families to relax with a cool breeze coming of the Sound. Two tennis courts are available for lessons, tournaments, and casual use.
The club’s restaurant is open year round. Members can enjoy a meal in the formal dining room, on the waterfront deck, or in the new bar. The recently added full bar features an upscale nautical theme, burgees from Bridgeport area yacht clubs, and spectacular views of Black Rock Harbor and Fayerweather Lighthouse.
The water views, full restaurant, and new bar make the Black Rock Yacht Club a favorite spot to host weddings and other events.
