Water pipes are breaking all the time. Say on weekly basis. We are always told to boil water- no washed dishes- or for those immune compromised can't take even a shower. What makes this park are the ppl. Nice clubhouse,pool. Yikes we have to pay twice for water- we buy bottled water & pay water bill. If pipes didn't break every week would make this place wonderful.
Not the best person to post I believe we were miss lead by the front office. The brightest part of this place is some of the people and I quote Some of the people. Others think they are better than the rest or that they are higher classed not. Let me tell you just because you have more money nicer car or anything else you can think of that might be better. Think of this I don't really care or give a rats behind. Sorry ranting it's a place to live no not the greatest not a dump about half way in between.
The leasing staff at Mid Florida lakes scammed my grandmother in to signing a 12 month lease renewal when she was under the impression she was signing a 6 month lease. She is experiencing medical issues and would benefit from being moved to a place where family can assist her with getting to medical appointments, as it is no longer safe for her to drive and the nearest relative lives several hours away. I placed 6 phone calls to Mid Florida Lakes in a two week period to discuss the situation with a manager and never received a call back. I finally got ahold of the assistant manager today after calling multiple times and was told that I could not speak with the person in charge of making these decisions directly, that our only option was to put in 30 days notice (note that we are now past the 1st of the month because they never returned my call) and to pay two full months rent. I seriously hope that nothing bad happens to my grandmother within the next 6 months or I will hold Mid Florida Lakes responsible for their negligence and defrauding an elderly person with dementia. Do not sign a lease here because they will bait and switch you too.
Rules are not being enforced, homes are in disrepair, high lot rent, and awful water. Complaints are not being addressed and the park keeps going through managers every few years. Owners do not care and just collect their overpriced lot rents. This used to be a prestigious park, but is now just an unkempt trailer park.
A wonderful community. Like many, yes, some people are very unsociable but the good out weigh them. Recently had a hip replaced. People I didn't even know stopped to see if they could help. Fabulous clubhouse and pools situated on water with canals leading to Lake Eustis. The neighbors are wonderful and everyone takes time to say Good Morning. Down fall. Rent rates keep going up and when you look at properties they don't list alll the extras that you will be paying.
expensive lot rent, old grumpy people, Mean egotistical chauvinistic manager who is a pass the buck kinda guy, included lawn care is a bunch of young street derelicts and they wonder why car and golf car theft is running ramped. Nasty old men who are in the air hose area and don't know what they are doing with the upkeep of that! I would not recommend any purchases there. Half the people in the office are unpleasant. They do not upkeep the general area trimmings at all outside. And are racist with their background checks.

Centered between the metropolitan areas of Leesburg and Eustis, the community is also within five miles of area shopping, transportation and hospitals. Mid Florida Lakes offers its residents resort-style amenities including a marina, waterfront living, a heated pool and tennis courts.
i live at mid florida lakes, the concern i have is their apparent lack of concern to their rentors, i have a lung disease and was not aware of what can happen yto someone living here from the dust in the air, when the air becomes moist it becomes concrete, whioch can contribute to lung problems, it also damages your paint, cars. i spoke to the general manager and she said i should have done an air quality analysis before i moved here.

Fire breaks out at Florida furniture store, officials say
MELBOURNE, Fla. - Crews are investigating following a fire at a furniture store in Melbourne Saturday afternoon.
The Melbourne Police Department said they were called out to the Atlantic Fine Furniture and Mattress shortly after 3 p.m. on West Eau Gallie Boulevard.
Officials are working to learn the cause of the fire. Right now, Eau Gallie is currently blocked. No injuries have been reported.
