Cosmos Yachting is a worldwide yacht charter company with offices in London, Munich, Athens, and Seoul.

We set sail for the first time back in 1987 and, thanks to our untiring commitment, have continued to make waves in the industry ever since. Our success is underpinned by seamless communication coupled with first-rate customer service. As well as chartering and selling sailing yachts, we also offer power boats and catamarans – both with and without crew.

What’s more, we are now the market leader in the pre-owned yacht market in Greece. From day one our philosophy has been to provide high quality yachting holidays that promote relaxation, fun and an unrivalled sense of freedom. We treat customers as individuals and take time to listen to your requirements, so you can be sure you will get the holiday you want. But don’t just take our word for it, put us to the test. From culture to cuisine, sunshine to scenery – tell us exactly what you want from your yachting experience and we will make sure you are not disappointed.

Besides small, medium, and large vessels, there are sailing yachts, catamarans as well as motorboats. Cosmos Yachting doesn’t really offer “package holidays”, as we view individual yacht charters as customized vacations. Once the trip is plotted, we, along with the crew, work with a client to establish an itinerary solely based on the guests’ preferences.

Cosmos Yachting Timeline

Cosmos Yachting was founded in February 1987, in May we welcomed our first charter client.

In January, our first participation, with an own booth at the “Boot”, the world’s largest indoor boat show.

We expand and open our office (Cosmos Yachting Ltd.) in September in London, UK.

In order to offer better services we open our office in Athens, Greece, Cosmos Hellas S.A.

We run our first charter base in the Marina Alimos, Kalamaki in Athens. Later we open also charter bases in Kos, Rhodos, Corfu, Lavrion and Lefkas

We cross the Atlantic Ocean with our Bavaria 50 “Jojo” and participate at the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers in the Caribbean Sea, St. Lucia.

We become dealer in Greece for the Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH.

In order to have better quality control for our yacht we founded our own maintenance and service company, Alpha Technical Service.

We are growing our charter services and become experts in the Crewed Mega and Superyacht charter market.

We develop our own CRM and Web based IT in order to offer high end customer service to our clients.

The insurance company Yacht Pool introduces the “financial security system”. The members are being checked and insured against bankruptcy, so clients money is always safe. Cosmos is member since day one.

We introduce Aegean Party Life, a flotilla and cabin charter product for young people who want to experience the magic of sailing in Greece.

We team up with Sunsail and Moorings and offer premium charter products worldwide.

We establish one of the biggest Fun Regattas, the “Corfu Sailing Cup” in the Ionian Sea.

We expand to new markets and founded the Company Hyundai & Cosmos in Seoul, South Korea and become the official dealer for Bavaria Yachts and Nautitech catamarans.

We team up with the biggest Yachting company in China and offer special charter services.

Our fleet of own yachts is growing to 58 sailing yachts, catamarans and one Motor yacht.

Our odyssey commences with the establishment of Cosmos Yachting as a Single Person Company in Munich's Schwabing district in Germany.

January 1988

Our 1st boot show presense

We mark our participation at the BOOT show in Düsseldorf, a tradition we've upheld steadfastly ever since. Our presence extends to renowned boat shows across Germany, including "Hanseboot" in Hamburg, "Interboot" in Friedrichshafen, as well as exhibitions in Munich, Berlin, Austria, Switzerland, and Great Britain.

Creation of Cosmos Yachting GmbH

Witnessing significant growth, we transition from a Single Person Company to "Cosmos Yachting GmbH."

September 1991

Creation of Cosmos Yachting LTD

Setting sail for international waters, 'Cosmos Yachting Ltd' is established in London

October 1992

Creation of Cosmopolit Reiseservice GmbH 

Diversifying our services, we founded the IATA travel company "Cosmopolit Reiseservice GmbH," specializing in flights and travel arrangements for yacht charter clients.

Earning the official dealership status in Germany for Gilbert Marine's "Gib Sea" Yachts

Creation of Cosmos Yachting s.a.   

Extending our operations to Athens, Greece, we inaugurate "Cosmos Yachting s.a."

Securing dealership for France's "Fountaine Pajot" catamarans in Germany.

Creation of Nomicos Yachts LTD 

In Athens, we establish "Nomicos Yachts LTD," a yacht management company specializing in Greek yacht charters, sales, registration, spare parts, and maintenance. Today, "Nomicos" boasts a network of 160 Yacht Charter Agencies worldwide.

Our first bases in Athens & Corfu

Pioneering yacht chartering in Greece, we establish our first bases in Athens & Corfu with a fleet of 12 sailing yachts.

Official dealers of Jeantot Marine and Dehler Yachts

Strengthening our portfolio, we become official dealers in Germany for Privilege catamarans by "Jeantot Marine" and Dehler Yachts by "Dehler Yachtbau GmbH" in Greece.

Our entry of 7 Dehler Yachts marks our foray into the Greek charter market.

Our first base in G öcek, Turkey

Venturing into Turkish waters, we join forces with "Irmak Yachting" to establish our first charter base in Göcek, Turkey, with 12 Bavaria sailing yachts.

Yacht Charter Aegina

Beyond its bustling port, Aegina has the seductive, easygoing character of a typical Greek island in Aegean Sea but with the added bonus of more than its fair share of prestigious ancient sites. Weekending Athenians spice up the mix of laidback locals and commuters who use the island like an Athens suburb. Unique Aegina treats include a special, and delicious, pistachio nut, the splendid 5th-century Temple of Aphaia and the magical Byzantine ruins called Paleohora.

Aegina was the leading maritime power of the Saronic Gulf during the 7th century BC, when it grew wealthy through trade and political ascendancy. The island made a major contribution to the Greek victory over the Persian fleet at the Battle of Salamis in 480 BC. Despite this solidarity with the Athenian state, the latter invaded in 459 BC out of jealousy of Aegina’s wealth and status and of its liaison with Sparta. Aegina never regained its glory, although in the early 19th century it played a bold part in the defeat of the Turks and was the temporary capital of a partly liberated Greece from 1827 to 1829.

Northwest of the port, ruined walls, cisterns and broken pillars in honey-coloured stone are lorded over by a solitary surviving column. It’s all that’s left of a 5th-century-BC temple that was once part of an ancient acropolis.

Aegina is lush and wildflower laden in spring, and year-round offers some of the best archaic sites in the Saronic Gulf. The interior hills and mountains add drama to the small island, but beaches are not its strongest suit. The east-coast town of Agia Marina is the island’s main package resort. It has a shallow-water beach that is ideal for families, but it’s backed by a fairly crowded main drag. A few thin, sandy beaches line the roadside between Aegina Town and Perdika, such as Marathonas. More travelers come to Aegina, the largest of the Saronic Gulf islands, than to any of the other Greek islands.

Most ships arrive and depart from the main port and capital of Aegina town on the west coast, though a few stop at the resort town of Souvala on the north coast and at the port of Agia Marina on the east coast. Agia Marina is about as charmless as it’s possible to be, but this port is your best choice if your principal destination is the Temple of Aphaia.

With a population according to the last census of about  9000 inhabitants and a total area of 88 square kilometres the roughly triangular in shape  Aegina is located 17 miles southwestern from Piraeus and 6 miles eastnorthern from Agistri island . The specific geographic coordinates are 37°44’15.4″N 23°30’02.1″E in Aegean Sea.
