SEA OWL spends the summer and winter season in the Bahamas. She was constructed by recognized shipbuilder Azimut in 2022. The spacious yacht layout features 5 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests.

SEA OWL is classified as a superyacht. The key part of the boat -generous aft deck, leads to the attractive and sleek main salon. Captain - Michael Sharrow | American Throughout Michael’s nearly thirty-year career as Captain and crew on various chartered, private, recreational, delivery boats and yachts, he has been blessed with unique opportunities to travel the world and cross nearly every ocean. Having experience in freelance and delivery work has allowed Michael to grow his experience and knowledge on a variety of boat builds and familiarize himself with different systems. Michael is extremely competent in yacht mechanics and electrical, international shipping and receiving, itinerary planning and all over maintenance, care and management. He has received extensive training and experience in Marine Environment and sailed throughout the world being blessed to visit more than 100 different countries, thousands of islands, and meet many amazing people from all over the planet along the way. He has had the opportunity to live in Japan, Europe, and now calls South Florida his permanent home. It has been a truly epic adventure and Michael looks forward to continuing it on board SEA OWL! Captain: robert aubrey.

Captain Robert Aubrey | American Captain Robert Aubrey was born in Fort Lauderdale April of ‘94. His parents were both in the yachting industry in the 70’s-90’s. His father taught him how to operate and navigate boats varying from 80’-110’. Growing up in south Florida allowed him to develop hobbies in fishing, diving, other water sports along with developing a love for the ocean. Starting his career at 18 years old as a deckhand aboard an 80’ sailing yacht, moving up the ladder over the years on various sized boats, up to captain. Throughout the years he has covered thousands of miles and has seen some amazing features that this world has to offer. His favorite part of the job is showing his guests the extraordinary areas of the Bahamas, Caribbean and New England. He is married to his lovely wife Sophie Aubrey, who is also Sea Owl’s first mate. They spend their free time taking their dog Haven for excursions on their paddle board, fishing and to the beach for some time to relax. They love to travel and experience different cultures, especially when sharing these experiences with their guests. First Mate Sophie Aubrey | American Sophie was born and raised on the East coast of central Florida and is 26 years old. She is a fourth generation native Floridian. While growing up on the water, she has always enjoyed everything that the ocean has to offer. While working in the hospitality industry as a server/bartender and managing a parasail and water sports company at 18, she gained the basic fundamentals that it takes to make a great crew member. Sophie moved to south Florida with her husband and entered the yachting industry in 2020 as a stewardess onboard a 197’ super yacht. Later transitioning to a deck/stew, and now, a full time first mate. Since joining the industry she has traveled through the Bahamas, the Florida Keys, the entire East coast of the US. While not hard at work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband Rob and dog Haven, bike riding and visiting the beach. Attention to detail and exceptional care for her guests are her strong points. She enjoys all facets of boating life and the thrilling aspects of yacht charters. She is looking forward to furthering her career in yachting as part of the Sea Owl crew. Stewardess Shannon Halle | American Shannon grew up on the main line just outside of Philadelphia. In the summers, she would visit her uncle at his 42’ sport fishing yacht in Maryland. They would make their way down the Chesapeake Bay and stop to explore the islands along the inlet. Later, she studied environmental engineering at the University of Alabama (roll tide!) while working as a server/bartender. She entered the yachting industry shortly thereafter to pursue her passion of traveling the world. Since then, Shannon has spent most of her time exploring the Caribbean tropics and the historical northeast US. In her spare time, she enjoys beach days, discovering new areas, finding creative outlets, and socializing with friends. She has joined Sea Owl as sole stewardess after years of learning from the best chief stews in the industry. Her creativity thrives through lavish table decor and mixology. Ready to craft your favorite cocktails and maintain a pristine interior, you’ll find that no detail is too small for her eye. One day, she hopes to combine her knowledge of environmental engineering and yachting to design more sustainable and eco-friendly vessels, so we can continue to explore and protect marine life for generations to come. Captain - Michael Sharrow | American Throughout Michael’s nearly thirty-year career as Captain and crew on various chartered, private, recreational, delivery boats and yachts, he has been blessed with unique opportunities to travel the world and cross nearly every ocean. Having experience in freelance and delivery work has allowed Michael to grow his experience and knowledge on a variety of boat builds and familiarize himself with different systems. Michael is extremely competent in yacht mechanics and electrical, international shipping and receiving, itinerary planning and all over maintenance, care and management. He has received extensive training and experience in Marine Environment and sailed throughout the world being blessed to visit more than 100 different countries, thousands of islands, and meet many amazing people from all over the planet along the way. He has had the opportunity to live in Japan, Europe, and now calls South Florida his permanent home. It has been a truly epic adventure and Michael looks forward to continuing it on board SEA OWL! She has extensively sailed around the Mediterranean, London, Florida, the Bahamas, Caribbean islands, Panama, Mexico and San Diego as well as completed an Atlantic crossing from Savannah, Georgia to London. She has worked estates in Miami, Arizona and a safari lodge in South Africa. She loves making people happy, providing outstanding service and is looking forward to hosting some memorable charters on board. Chef - Eric Grutka | American Chef Eric is a top-level, award-winning executive and private chef with over 28 years of extensive culinary, kitchen management and menu planning experience, including 8 years of private chef work. Prior to yachting Chef Eric was the founder and chef of an award winning modern American-Fusion restaurant in South Florida. He has expertise in a diverse selection of cuisine including French, Thai, Indian, Italian, Asian, Southern, Modern American, Mexican, Latin American and Caribbean. He is experienced in meeting multiple dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, dairy free, gluten free, low-carb and ketogenic.

The 87’ (26.77m) Azimut yacht SEA OWL is now for charter with Northrop & Johnson. The luxury yacht will cruise The Bahamas and New England in the summer and The Bahamas in the winter. Charters start at $80,000 per week, plus expenses.

SEA OWL is the ideal charter yacht for guests seeking a vessel that is sporty, modern and chock full of luxurious amenities. Her open-plan layout is combined with huge windows and outfitted with modern furniture to create a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere. The charter yacht’s expansive deck spaces allow for plenty of alfresco entertainment opportunities.

Her main salon is accessed from the spacious aft deck, which features a cozy dining setup and flip-down TV. Entering via the sliding door, guests will be greeted by plenty of natural light from the many surrounding windows. SEA OWL’s main salon is the main locale for indoor relaxing and lounging, with three plush sofas, a seating area and a 55” TV. A formal dining space can be found forward where guests can enjoy meals prepared by the yacht’s chef.

Eight guests are welcome in SEA OWL’s five stunning staterooms. The configuration comprises a full-beam master suite with floor-to-ceiling windows on the main deck, two queen-size VIPs, a twin stateroom and a queen-size cabin. Each of her staterooms are accompanied by beautiful en-suite bathrooms with marble accents and standing rainfall showers.

The charter yacht’s exterior offerings are second to none. From the relaxing, cozy aft deck setup to the lively flybridge and private foredeck, SEA OWL is a haven of entertainment. From 1969 to the present: The history of Azimut

The beginnings.

Azimut Yachts came about in 1969, when the young university student Paolo Vitelli founded Azimut Srl, and began chartering sailing boats.

The first steps towards success

In 1970 some prestigious yachting brands appointed the company to distribute their boats in Italy. Azimut quickly expanded its operations: Apart from distribution, it began to design new yachts. In a joint venture with Amerglass, it designed the AZ 43’ Bali, a mass-produced fibreglass boat, which was an immediate success. The company gradually expanded its range, focussing on the lower end of the market - with the launch of the AZ 32’ Targa in 1977, the “Ford T” of the boat world - and upper end too - (with the memorable début of the Azimut 105’ Failaka in 1982, the biggest mass-produced yacht in fibreglass at the time).

The acquisition of Benetti and the start of own production

In 1985 Azimut acquired Benetti. This historical brand, based in Viareggio, had been building boats since 1873, and designed the concept of the megayacht. Azimut was now able construct its own yachts, defining new style and industry standards that would go on to revolutionise the boat building industry, such as: large frameless windows, electric seats, and walnut interiors.

New production sites and international recognition

From the late nineties onwards, with the acquisition of new boatyards at Fano, the restructuring of the Benetti boatyards at Viareggio and the construction of a new site at Avigliana, in the province of Turin, Azimut went on to become the foremost builder of yachts and megayachts. This leadership position was confirmed in subsequent seasons, thanks to numerous business successes and an investment policy which has consolidated Azimut's technological and production capacities over the years, with sites now established in Brazil.

Respect for the environment, turned into tangible results

A yacht with an eco-friendly engine, like a sailing boat? When we achieve this goal in the future, we'll know that the first important steps in this direction were taken at the beginning of this millennium, with projects such as the Magellano 50, the first motor yacht below 60 feet to be awarded RINA Green Plus notation. The Magellano 50 has embraced all the technical and design skills used by Azimut for environmental protection, and is proof of the important results that can be achieved by a company sustainability programme that focuses on the entire value chain, from developing concepts for alternative boats with a low environmental impact to clean production processes.

Azimut Yachts was awarded ISO 14001 certification, for its consistent and effective management system aimed at reducing the environmental impact of its operations. Since 2004 the company has used the Core Infusion lamination system and in 2007 research began on the use of low environmental impact paints and resins.

To maximise the eco-compatible standards of the yachts produced at its boatyards, Azimut decided to adopt RINA principles and to achieve RINA Green Plus notation. The result is a remarkable range of innovative solutions, including first and foremost hybrid propulsion motors, to sail with a near-zero reduction in noise levels and lower consumption on short day trips. In addition to: high performance propellers, LED lighting, anti-UV film on windows for better thermal efficiency and environmentally compatible materials. Experiments continue at Azimut's research centres, with the introduction of nanotechnologies to develop a longer-lasting anti-fouling coating with a lower impact for marine life.

Azimut Yachts's unrivalled position in the pleasure boat industry has spurred it on to become a leader in environmental sustainability too, with projects and solutions that are always one step ahead of the competition.
