To disguise the industrial oil production, he added waterfalls, screens, and extensive landscaping along with the condo-style camouflage, and colorful lights at night. The islands are ringed by rocks from Catalina Island and filled with millions of cubic yards of material dredged from the bay. They are only decorated oil islands in the U.S.

Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier

Built by the determination of locals the pier was first erected in 1915. It has since undergone 2 renovations and continues to be beloved by the community. Extending 1,800 feet into the bay offering a great spot for watching sailboat regattas.

Pricing for a yacht charter party is based on departure location and guest count. Please find our pricing online.

Where can we charter a party boat from?

We offer party yacht charters from Marina del Rey, Redondo Beach, Long Beach, San Pedro, Ventura, Newport Beach, and more.

What kind of wildlife can we see on a daytime yacht party?

Depending on the location and the time of year it is possible to see humpback whales, blue whales (summer to fall), grey whales (winter to spring), minke whales, bottlenose Dolphins, seals, sea lions, pelicans, and more.

Can I decorate the yacht for my boat party?

Guests are welcome to decorate the boats, as long as no damage is incurred with the decorations.

Where will my yacht charter party go?

All charters are based on customers wishes and their location departure.

Are children included in the guest count?

Yes, children are included in guest counts. Children below 13 year old are also required to wear life jackets on yachts.

What type of clothing should I wear on a yacht charter party?

Ideally guests should dress comfortably. Layers are advised as it can be windier and colder on the water than on land. Don´t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses.

What to wear to a boat party at night?

On an evening yacht charter party it is important to dress warmly. While the boats do have interiors that can keep deduce the wind factor an evening on the water can be chilly. So it is best to dress in warm layers.

Can I wear high heels to a party on a yacht?

High heels can be worn on some boats. On large party boats with 30+ guests it should be fine. It is not practical on the smaller boats as you will be walking around on different levels and materials and it can be dangerous. A better solution would be a pretty flat, a fancy sandal, or a short mule if you must.

What do I need to bring to a boat party?

For a boat party on a yacht it’s best to bring whatever will make you comfortable. Some guests like to bring an extra sweater, favorite snacks and drinks, sunscreen, sea sickness pills, and if it's a birthday party a gift for the host.

How soon in advance do I need to book a yacht for a party?

Our bookings are based on a first come first serve basis. To make sure your preferred date and time is available it's best to confirm the date and time as soon as possible.

How do I start a yacht party?

Gather everyone together and share a toast to get the party started. Then play the music and let everyone mingle around in the different corners of the boat. This will make a boat party come to life.

Am I expected to tip the captain and crew?

Gratuity is not included in the price and while not required it is always greatly appreciated. Any tips provided are split between the captain and crew.

Can I bring food and beverage aboard for a boat party?

Guests are welcome to bring food and beverage aboard.

Are refreshments included for a yacht party?

Refreshments are not included in the pricing. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drink.

Is there a place we can go to swim during a yacht party?

We can offer swimming from our San Pedro & Long Beach departure locations.

What is a bareboat charter?

- A bareboat charter is a vessel that is leased by the owner to another person (a “charterer”) for a period of time without a captain or crew; - A bareboat charter is a vessel that is considered a recreational vessel and may not be subject to Passenger Vessel inspections by the United States Coast Guard; - Once the charterer takes possession of the vessel, the charterer becomes entirely responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel and its passengers; - The owner of the vessel is generally not responsible for any collision, personal injuries, and wages for the crew - The charterer is responsible for the vessel’s crew, fuel, insurance, any maintenance and repairs, and any liability associated with use and possession of the vessel; - The charterer must have the option of selecting and paying crew and may discharge the master or any crew member without referral to the owner; - The owner may require general levels of proficiency for the crew that is retained based on federal statutes; and - Charterers and passengers are solely responsible for making sure they understand and agree to the terms of any bareboat charter agreement.

My reservation only says 1 adult but I'm bringing more people, how do I change that?

Because our rental software is per unit(boat) and not per person, the sytem automatically puts 1 adult. There is no way to change the number but be sure to check your boat size and capacity to ensure you rented the proper size for your party.

Can we bring anything with us on the boat?

Yes. Food, drink, even your dog! We are very pet friendly! We work with many vendors that will deliver food/décor for your rental, please scroll on our homepage to see options! Feel free to bring your own cooler and we sell ice in the boat shop! If you like popcorn, it's always free too!

What if we need to cancel?

All sales are final. In the event of an act of God such as weather (gale wind, heavy rain, snow, hurricanes) terrorism, earthquakes; your rental will be moved to another day, or store credit will be issued. There are no refunds and this policy will be strictly enforced.

How far can you take out the jet skis?

The wave runners can go up to the Queen Mary and down to Seal Beach.

Will we get wet or cold?

All of our boats are fully enclosed and generally cozy. Windows can go up if a cool breeze is wanted or needed, or they can stay down to enjoy the scene warm and cozy. During the winter time blankets are always welcome.

Is it a fun experience for children too?

Absolutely! Alamitos Bay provides for plenty of wildlife, with the local sea lions making many appearances throughout the day. We also have a Coloring Contest for kids 6 yrs and below. Every month, we pick the winner and they win a boat ride. Make sure you ask for coloring materials when you check-in. 

Are you pet friendly?

Yes! We love our Fido! In fact, our logo was inspired by our English bulldog Titus Maximus. Every now and then, you will see him manning the store or eating the leftover popcorn on the floor. :) For the safety of your pets, we recommend bringing their own life vests. 

Is it hard to drive a boat, and what is the age limit to drive?

The boats are very simply to drive. Maximum speed is 5 mph. You must be 21 years old to drive. Before take off, our dock master gives the captain a very detailed description of the Bay, where to go, and what you can see.

Do the boats have a sound system?

The boats all have radios with CD player capability, also included is an auxiliary wire for your smart phone.

Is parking free?

Yes. The parking is free, on site, only steps away from your vessel. Guests may also arrive by Aqualink.

Are lifejackets provided?

Yes. All of our vessels have adult life jackets on the vessel, and our front office staff provides all children under the age of 12 with a life jacket. All children under the age of 12 are required to wear a life vest. We also provide life vests for infants. Infants in car seats or baby carriers are not required to wear a life vest, but one will be provided anyway. We do not provide life vests for pets. 

What time should we arrive before our voyage?

Give yourself 15-20 minutes. This will give you time to park, unload, sign-in, and be on your way with no delay.

Help! I left something on the boat and I need it back. What do I do?

London Boat Rentals is not responsible for personal belongings, however, if you lost something please call or email with a description of the item(s) lost and we will contact you if it has been found.

If the tide is too high for me to go into the Naples Canals, where else can I go?

If the tide is too high, you may still travel around Naples island, into Jellyfish Cove, Spinnaker Bay, Marina Pacifica, and Mother’s Beach.

How old do you have to be to rent a boat?

You must be at least 21 years old to rent and operate the boat. You must be at least 18 years old to rent and operate a jet ski.

I recently had the pleasure of using Doug and Donna's duffy boat services in June for a graduation brunch with my family. I had a great time! Our captain was Edwin who was an absolute pleasure to have on board. He was polite and offered additional information on the local scenery and assisted with DJ'ing and taking a group photo towards the end. The boat itself is just as described, very clean and spacious and fit 14 of my guests comfortably. Thank you all for your services and for making my event one to remember! :)

We rented the boat to remember my husband and scatter his ashes with family and friends. Captain Doug and Donna and the crew made the experience a beautiful tribute. Every aspect of the trip - from getting the permit to lowering his ashes into the sea - was handled with kindness and respect. Thank you.

We had Captain Steve for our amazing 2 hour adventure at sea. We had an employee fun event with a group of 12. Making the reservation was super easy, communication pre-trip from Captain Doug & Donna was fantastic and they made sure we were well informed about our boat tour. The Captain met us in the parking lot area and all went so smoothly with boarding the boat. We had a beautiful scenic boat tour. I would highly recommend Captain Doug and Donna's boat tour for groups.

Great boat rental experience! Tazy was punctual, called several times before the trip, and was quick to respond to messages. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a few of her friends, and they had a blast! Tazy was helpful and showed us a great time. The floating mat was a hit! The speed of the boat was exhilarating, and we didn’t know the boat could reach such high speed. Tazy gave us a nice tour of the harbor and even took us to a place where we saw a bunch of seals. His pricing is also reasonable. It was well worth it. I highly recommend Tazy for your boat trip! Thank you Tazy for making my daughter’s birthday memorable!

We left Long Beach for a sunset sail to celebrate a birthday with good friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience professional from the intial booking experience to porting. 5 stars it was better than advertised a great value, great sailboat ⛵️, and most importantly a great 5 star Captain. We will be telling our friends and booking Max again.

Ryan, a wonderful host. He was on time ,boat as expected, and very pleasant. The ride was extremely relaxing and just what we were looking for. We were able to see the beautiful sunset. If a cancellation or rescheduling due to bad weather is necessary, either the Renter or the Boat Owner must send an email to [email protected] stating the reason. Q: Where are you located? A: Since we are on the dock, the closest address to our location is the Yardhouse Restaurant 401 Shoreline Village Dr. Long Beach CA 90802. Our office is located on the opposite side of the restaurant as the parking lot.

Q: Can we bring food and drink on the boats? A: Absolutely, highly recommended. Space is limited on the boats; call our office for more details.

Q: Can we bring alcohol on the boat? A: Yes, however the driver is not allowed to consume alcohol.

Q: Do you allow fishing? A: No, we do not allow fishing off of any our boats.

Q: Do you allow swimming off your boats? A: Swimming is not permitted off any motorized watercraft, it is against the law.

Q: Do you allow pets? A: Pets are only allowed in the powerboats.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: We require 24 hours advance notice to cancel a reservation.

Q: What are the weather conditions? A: Check the Weather Forecast for Long Beach

Q: Can I reserve a boat for the same day? A: Yes, same day reservations can be called into our office or reserved online up to 2 hours in advance.

Q: Can we hire your company to drive the boat for us? A: No.

Long Beach Grand Prix

• Long Beach Boat Rentals will be closed April 12th-19th during the Grand Prix
• Rentals will resume on April 20th at 11am
• Give yourself plenty of time to get to the docks. If you are running behind, give our office a call and we will do our best to adjust your reservation if able
• 1. From the 710 South take exit 1C towards Downtown Long Beach
• 2. Take a slight left turn onto W. Broadway
• 3. Turn right onto Magnolia Ave.
• 4. Turn left onto Ocean Blvd.
• 5. Turn right onto Alamitos Ave/Shoreline Drive
• 6. You will then be directed into the parking lot by Alfredo’s Beach Hut
• 7. Follow traffic to the back of the parking lot, across the bike path and into the adjacent parking lots
• 8. Follow the parking lots down to Shoreline Village
