Do yourself a favor and avoid these hucksters from Ruskin, FL. I put an offer of $19000 on a boat listed for $19900 today. It was accepted and a contract was emailed to me. The closing dates were wrong so I reached out to have them make the corrections. I waited a few hours then received a text from the Sales manager, Mark Carrithers telling me someone just put in a full ask offer and the boat is now sold. Who operates like this? I wouldnt buy water from these greedy dudes if I was on fire. Honesty and integrity do not exist with Mark and James.

IF you chose to do business with this so-called "yacht Brokerage " you should be well advised that they will attempt to short-change your broker if you are being represented. They did not want to co-broke with my broker due to the fact that she had visited the Hatters twice, and after the seller chose to lower the price I decided to revisit the vessel without my broker as she was not well that Sunday and that was the only day I had available. I was two and a half hours away and because my broker was not with me they refused to do the 50/50 split on the commission rather they wanted 70/30 It appears they hire used car salesman, and call them "Yacht Specialists" This kid did not know where the hull ID # was Just beware

Tips Before You Buy A Boat

Seller's ID

You must have A copy of the seller's Drivers License.

Bill of Sale

You must have a signed and notarized bill-of-sale and power of attorney from the seller.

The Correct Paperwork

You must have a Florida DMV lien search or U.S. coast guard abstract of title.

Current Status of Title

If titled under a company or corporation, copy of Sunbiz report to prove its current status as well as articles of incorporation.
