The Club at Porto Cima (pronounced chima) is a private facility and features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Design, a 17,000 square-foot clubhouse and a Yacht Club. The Nicklaus Signature Course is the focal point of The Club at Porto Cima with seven holes that play beside or over the lake. The golf course opened for play in 2000 and is considered one of Missouri's top courses by Golf Digest. The club's Mediterranean-style golf clubhouse features a beautiful golf shop, men's and ladies locker rooms - each with its own fitness area - meeting and banquet space, plus multiple food and beverage options in The Clubhouse Restaurant, the Sandtrap Lounge, a private member dining room as well as outdoor dining overlooking the 18th hole.

Directions:  Located on Mile Marker 15 by water. Coming from Osage beach over the toll bridge: Take the first right turn and that will take you into the Porto Cima property. At the first intersection, take a left and follow that road down a hill and around a slight turn. The Clubhouse is just ahead along with our parking lot. The Pro Shop area is all the way at the far end of the building. The main Clubhouse area is the large front door in front of the first fountain.

We can accommodate from 20 to 144 players in many formats. Our experienced team of hospitality experts is available to assist you with organizing and executing your event. Actually, we make it quite possibly the simplest event you'll ever organize: Call us and tell us what you want. We'll take it from there! We're the center of golf, in the center of the state! Conveniently located in central Missouri, we are two and one-half hours away from both Kansas City and St. Louis, and approximately an hour and one-half from Columbia and Springfield. The Club at Porto Cima, rated #4 by Golf Digest for "Best New Private Courses" for 2002, has been rated in the top 10 courses in the state of Missouri since its opening in 2000. The Club at Porto Cima Yacht Club and/or Clubhouse can hold up to 200 guests for scoring, awards and food & beverage functions following play. We also offer a bar-b-que cookout or box lunches prior to play.

If you want it for your wedding, we'll either provide it or, working with a select short list of trusted local service providers, we will find it. That includes assisting you with a local wedding cake baker, floral, and much more. We have held a wide variety of weddings that some clubs shy away from! Our Banquet/Wedding Coordinator has the experience and knowledge of the industry to make sure no detail is overlooked. Our Executive Chef has over 15 years of experience in the fine dining industry and is skilled in all types of cuisines. What to Expect:   Located in central Missouri near the top of the Ozark hills, Porto Cima is the tale of two nines. The front nine is tight and carved through dense oak trees with significant elevation changes throughout the routing. Finding a birdie is tough and if your driver is struggling then you are going to have a long day. The back nine continues through the trees and residential development with corridor golf being the call of the day, but that all changes on holes 15-18 which is the money stretch along the Lake of the Ozarks. The par 5-3-4-4 the course finishes with is dramatic and photogenic with water coming into play on each hole. The conditioning suffers from poor drainage with the holes that run through the valleys and other low spots in the routing while the heavy amount of trees cast a significant amount of shade. All in all, Porto Cima feels more like a boat club that has a course than a club that is focused on having the best course possible.

The Yacht Club, located adjacent to the golf clubhouse, features a 200-slip marina, a marina clubhouse, member swimming pool, tennis courts and a poolside dining option. While the surrounding Club at Porto Cima community offers single-family residential lots, custom homes and custom townhome products.

LAKE OZARK, MO. (August 10, 2023) – The Club at Porto Cima in Sunrise Beach, Missouri recently welcomed Devin Lowe as its new assistant general manager. Lowe will help oversee all golf and club operations at the private club located on the Lake of the Ozarks. 

Lowe has 18-plus years of golf and hospitality industry experience, having most recently served as the director of club operations at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, a Troon-managed facility in Maricopa, Ariz. Lowe began his career in golf in 2005 working in sales and operations at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, Ohio. Prior to relocating to Arizona in 2014, he served as director of sales and marketing at Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course in Lewiston, New York. 

“We’re thrilled to welcome Devin to The Club at Porto Cima team,” said Troon Executive Vice President Rob DeMore. “His incredible work and keen eye for detail contributed to making Ak-Chin Southern Dunes one of the top facilities in the country. We look forward to seeing him build relationships and working with the membership at Porto Cima.”

Lowe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Kent State University in his native Ohio. In 2020, he graduated from Troon’s LEADer Program, an industry-leading 12-month curriculum that combines hands-on learning, interactive webinars, and individual coaching to prepare future leaders for high-level roles within the golf industry. Lowe is currently a Level 2 PGA of America associate.
