For one reason or another certain yachts are more popular this year. Taste varies but generally if the yacht is new, stylish, has a proven crew, and offers good value then it be coveted and booked out early in the season. Charter brokers recommendations also increase a charter yacht's popularity as these are based on past performance and feedback. Also brokers often visit the yacht, meet the crew and judge it's condition before offering their advice. Charter yacht popularity is constantly evolving, but here is a selection of yachts we have found to be .
Sometimes luxury yachts offer discounted prices in Greece when they have unexpected availability in shoulder season or they have a last minute cancellation. Most specials are not advertised because the client actually ends up getting the discounted rate after successful negotiation by their charter broker. Nevertheless, have a look at the Greece boats on special, just in case there is a boat which looks just right for you and you family. Each Greek Island often holds its own unique charm. While on your charter yacht you can easily acquire wonderful food such as fresh tomatoes, olives, oranges, strawberries, melons, feta, yogurts and bread from all Greece’s main islands.
Many yacht charters around the Greek Islands tend to be sailing traditional Turkish Gullets. The cruising grounds are varied with the startling beauty of the Ionian Islands to the West, the modern sophistication of the Cyclades and the undiscovered history and artistic charm of the Aegean Islands. A sailing yacht charter holiday is the best way to enjoy a land of intriguing culture and startling beauty.
As one of the most well known yacht charter grounds in the Mediterranean, Greece offers all the main types of yacht charters. These include luxury motor yachts, sailing, yacht charter, skippered, crewed yachts, catamaran, power boat, sailboat, luxury yachts and the ever increasing luxury super yacht charter.
With its many amazing beaches, beautiful clear waters and fantastic bars, it’s not surprising many visitors head for Greece every year. Here’s some advice if you’re planning a yacht charter vacation this summer.
Greece’s holiday season is quite long starting in May and finishing in mid-October. If you visit before or after these months, there aren’t so many people around especially on the more popular islands. Mykonos for example doesn’t have many visitors in May so the nightlife isn’t as vibrant than in July or August. If, however you love relaxing in the sun and prefer a quieter vacation, avoid these two months.
Always check the weather when you decide to take a yacht charter holiday in Greece. It’s usually warm in the early and late season although the sea temperature is a little cooler in early summer. December brings colder weather and cold waters so swimming is out unless you don’t mind being a bit on the chilly side. This month late in the year on the other hand is a good time if you wish to see the culture and history of Greece as it’s fairly quiet. Most yacht owners and charterers prefer to visit the Greek Islands between May and early October, so expect busier times when choosing to sail during these two months.
With around 2,000 Greek islands to choose from it’s a good idea to do a little research about the island or islands you intend visiting - see above. There are historical islands, islands that are sophisticated and islands that are totally uninhabited. You won’t need a huge suitcase of clothes if you’re going to an island that’s underpopulated and you just plan to swim, sunbathe or eat on board your superyacht. All you will need are shorts, T-Shirts and swimming costumes.
However, if you decide to visit islands such as Rhodes, Paros or Mykonos you may need a large suitcase. Dining out in smart restaurants, dancing the night away in clubs or wanting to be part of the jet set means you will probably want many changes of wardrobe. Pack luggage accordingly, taking casual along with elegant clothes to suit all occasions.
A guide book isn’t really that necessary if you’re heading to the Aegean Sea on a superyacht charter. Islands in this region are close together and there’s plenty of information elsewhere. With so much info on so many places, it’s an impossible task to read it all so maybe a short summary is the best bet about each place you intend to visit.
Get a general idea of accessibility to certain islands, make sure you can moor in the dock and find out the size of the port. Do a little homework about the nightlife, attractions and the types of beaches to expect. You can then work out an itinerary of the island you prefer to spend time on and where to go, as well as what to see once you’re there.
How about reading some of the more notable books about Greece? The Story of Ulysses or Odysseus, the King of Itheca or Homer’s Odyssey make interesting subjects to get you into the swing of this beautiful country.
Like most of the Mediterranean, the Greece yacht chartering season generally runs from April to the end of October. The summer season in July and August is the hottest and tends to have strong Meltemi winds blowing frequently. This is also the high season as far as numbers go. The best time to charter a yacht is probably either of the shoulder seasons (April-May and September-October), each side of the main summer season, as the temperatures are the most comfortable, the wind lighter (yet reliable) and the onshore tourists have yet to arrive or have just left in their largest numbers.

Dear Josh, I was just about to write you one word "WOW!!!"Thank you very very much! Your recommendation is now becoming a brand :-) I can now blindly trust your advice :-) I loved the boat. It is in excellent condition. It is rather big, but cozy. We had all the chances for interactive sailing and for the discreet leisure time. We hardly ever went anywhere out of the upper deck, because it was so lovely! The master bedroom was perfect. The idea with two bathrooms is great! I loved the crew. Everyone was welcoming, ready to help and in general they were very pleasant people! Especially the captain and his senior assistant Tasos. We felt as if we were hosted by the family of old friends. Despite the short trip, they shown us lovely places to swim, advised on the island hiking, entertained us with the tender/toys. Food. Majestic! It was the first try for the new chef on Gitana. And he exceeded any expectation! Quality, quantity, the table service ...were impeccable. Your wines arrangement worked very well too! Sailing. We had just two chances to open full sails. But it was great! Otherwise the motor was perfectly sufficient. The boat was remarkably stable while on the go. So, our last minute booking turned out to be a fantastic adventure! Thank you very much! I am glad that you were there to help with this difficult booking. Really appreciated! S/Y GITANA / Athens, Greece / Oct 2

For over 25 years the itineraries on our cabin charters in Greece evolved to become the most unforgettable, unique and sought after programs for sailing the Greek islands. There were three exciting itineraries we offered.
Cyclades saronic: ios to athens, saronic cyclades: athens to athens.
Board in Athens and sail a selection of Saronic islands including Poros and Hydra before heading into the Cyclades via Kythnos or Milos ending on Ios island.
Board in Ios, and sail the Cyclades stopping at Schinnousa, Paros and Delos then choose from Mykonos or Syros before heading via Kea back to Athens.
Board and end in Athens sailing a mix of the Saronic islands such as Poros, Hydra and others as well as Paros, Syros, Kea and others in the Cyclades with a 2-day optional land excursion to Santorini half-way through the itinerary.
Depending on your cabin charter Greece itinerary, visit some of these stunning locations.
The birthplace of democracy and of western civilization. Looming over the city skyline, are the majestic columns of the Parthenon on Acropolis hill - one the most important architectural monuments in the world. Nearby are many musuems and the Plaka area, a charming pedestrian tourist area with many traditional restaurants, bars and unique shops.
See the famous Temple of Aphaia (490 BC) on a 1.5-hour round-trip hike or explore the quaint little village and have coffee overlooking the bay. Aegina boasts the best pistachio nuts in the world and they can be found in the local shops.
When viewed from seaward, Poros is one of the most beautiful towns in Greece – arriving is a great photo opportunity. Wander streets lined with Mediterranean bougainvillea, jasmine, cactus, fig and cypress trees on the way to the clock tower to see panoramic views of the sun setting over the majestic Peloponnese Mountains.
Wander the cobbled streets and Venetian laneways of this famous historic and cosmopolitan port. Visit art galleries and shop for local handicrafts, exquisite clothing and jewelry. A 30-minute coastal walk or ten-minute water taxi ride leads to the rustic Miramare hotel and charming Mandraki beach or hike up to Profitis Ilias Monastery which is an incredible 2-hour hike up overlooking Hydra town.
Take a stroll along the boardwalk to see the Greek caiques (traditional boats) being hand made in their cradles. Then explore Admiral Bouboulina's fascinating 18th century mansion museum and tour bustling Spetses town.
Visit the largest ancient amphitheatre in Greece. Epidaurous with its 14,000-seat capacity is a spectacular example of ancient architecture and only a 20- minute taxi from the harbor.
Enjoy an afternoon swim in crystal clear waters, snorkel or paddle to shore then crawl into the natural thermal hot tub on the beach of Kolona Bay. The volcanic heated water is 38 degrees Celsius.
Explore this charming beachfront town with many cafes and tavernas. Enjoy a soak in the hot thermal waters on the beach as they cascade from under sacred church ground.
Arrive at uninhabited Kleftiko bay then swim or snorkel in translucent waters. For a surreal experience, take a kayak through a maze of breathtaking caves admiring the surrounding white cliffs - some as high as 100m.
Visit the spectacular volcanic creek of Sarakiniko and hike around the deep grotto of Papafraga. Later in the day see the charming fishing village of Madrakia and the ancient, Hellenistic amphitheatre at Tripiti where the statue of the Venus de Milos was found. Other sites include the geological museum near the harbor.
Maintains a traditional charm and depth beyond the tourist cover. The landscape changes its hue with the light and shapes of rugged landscapes combined with carved shapes of white buildings cascading down the hillsides. In the old port town of Livadi, memories of olden days appear, while at the hilltop town of Hora the cosmopolitan town square has something for everyone with restaurants and small bars.
Platy Yialos, Sifnos is one of the best kept secrets of this rural Cycladic island. The harbour is only 6 years old and not listed in most cruising guides, so most sailors pass right by! The small modern harbour offers good protection from most weather, and there are fine restaurants and specialty stores along the beautiful beach and promenade.
At the tiny rustic port of Folegandros a bus ride takes you up to to see the magical hilltop 'Chora' village, with incredible drop-off views of the coastline and Cycladic islands. Enjoy a sunset cocktail at one of the local hotels followed by a nice traditional taverna meal.
Explore the many wonders of Ios, including Homer's tomb where the famous writer of the Greek odyssey is entombed following a shipwreck. Drive along the coast of Ios and stop for a swim at either Manganari or Filoportas beach, two of the best beaches in the Aegean, or take some time to explore the early Cycladic civilization archaeological site - awarded a UNESCO award for the best archaeological site in Europe.
Santorini is the most breathtaking of all the Greek islands. The island is what remains of a huge volcanic cataclysm in 1500BC that left a collapsed six-mile round crater. Must see historic sites are the entombed Minoan town of Akrotiri and the hilltop settlement of ancient Thira that dates from 900BC. The UNESCO heritage town of Oia is the most beautiful place to stay and is famous for the sunsets. Santorini is well known for its fine wine and wine tasting is enjoyed at many vineyards.
In the tiny fishing cove of Skinoussa there is room to dock a few yachts on the pier and a few in the tiny bay. What is special about this little known island, is the lovely beach across from the yachts, the tiny 'Chora' hilltop town of 147 inhabitants and a fabulous restaurant.
Visit the 4th-century Panagia Ekatontapyliani (Our Lady of a Hundred Doors). The oldest remaining Byzantine church in Greece has exceptional architecture, religious icons and an exquisite marble baptismal chamber. Wander the bougainvillea-fringed streets and check out a maze of shops offering fashion, jewelry and local handicrafts.
The most important archaeological and religious site of ancient Greece, Delos remains in an excellent state of preservation. Wander through an amphitheatre, stadium, private palaces and Roman baths, finishing your exploration with a climb up sacred Mount Kythnos for a divine panoramic view of the Cycladic Islands.
Arriving by yacht into Syros is an impressive experience, and stepping off the yacht to visit both the Catholic and Greek Orthodox cathedrals, on their respective hills, is unique in Greece and offers a great view back down to the harbour. Ermoupolis is a highlight for photographers as the Venetian architecture, piaza and colorful pastel buildings is like Amalfi Italy.
From the yacht and busy cruise ship port take a bus or taxi to explore the labyrinth of white buildings ending by the windmills of Mykonos town ideal for people watching. Enjoy shopping, dining and the busiest nightlife in Greece.
Discover the little known island of Kea and the quaint harbor of Vourkari, walk around the bay to find the deserted ruins of a 3000 BC pre-historic settlement. A swim at a beautiful beach five minutes walk from the boats is a delightful way to relax before sunset.
Sailing Greece on our tours, you will be on monohull yachts that are specifically designed for the larger seas of the Aegean and are built heavier at 40tons to offer more stability. The majority of our guests are couples either younger or older!
Your warm and experienced crew will keep you up to date on the bays, classical temples, sites and gourmet restaurants in the region and most days, there is an excursion you can choose to take. The day will typically start by sailing to the next destination with a lunch stop underway. Upon arrival at the next harbour, the gangplank will go down and you will be free to come and go and explore. Later in the day you can get together for happy hour with your fellow crew mates followed by dinner. Every day there will be another highlighted restaurant, but if you don't wish to join the rest of the crew, then you can choose to find your own little taverna.

For experienced sailors with the required sailing qualifications, Istion’s yachts and catamarans all come fully equipped for bareboat charters without a skipper or crew.
Our bareboat charter fleet features brand new yachts and catamarans and lovingly maintained older models from some of the most famous shipyards in the world including Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Excess, Dufour, Fountaine Pajot, Bali, Bavaria, Hanse and Nautitech.
All of our bareboats come equipped with any add-ons you may desire and are delivered together with Istion's unmatched customer service . We invite you to read what our customers have to say to get a better idea on why Istion has been one of the #1 rated yacht charter firms in Greece for over 30 years !
If you are looking to rent a bareboat in Greece then either you or one of your group is an experienced sailor holding a valid sailing license . In Greece, authorities require a minimum of one captain with a sailing license/certification and one experienced crew member as co-skipper for bareboat charters.
As a rule, ASA & RYA Certifications are recognised but Day Skipper certificates may sometimes be rejected by Port Authorities. To be on the safe side, if this is your first time chartering in Greece, please contact us so we can evaluate your license and answer any questions you may have.
Our bareboat fleet includes brand new models of popular sailing yachts and catamarans available from any of our 12 charter bases throughout Greece.
We offer bareboat charters from all of our eleven charter bases in Greece . Specific models available at each base vary, but you will find a suitable yacht or catamran no matter where you are planning on sailing from.
Which base is best for you usually depends on the flights available from the country you are coming from and which area of Greece you will be arriving to.
For those flying into Athens , we have our main fleet in Alimos Marina and a second base in Lavrion which is just half an hour from the airport. Alimos is a gateway to the Argo Saronic islands and the Peloponnese mainland ports while both are good options for visiting the Cyclades .
For those looking at charter flights to the western Ionion islands we have bases in Corfu , Lefkas and Preveza .
Visitors to looking to explore the Dodecanese can find us at our very first charter base opened in 1992 on the island of Kos , and our more recent addition on the island of Rhodes .
Last but not least for those of you looking to fly into Skiathos and explore the Sporades we have a main base in Skiathos Port and also in the nearby mainland city of Volos which is often convenient for our guests travelling to Greece by road.
Most of our sailing yachts and catamarans may be rented as "bareboats", in other words they are offered for private charters with no skipper or crew. To hire a bareboat you and/or someone in your party need the appropriate qualifications and are responsible for the navigation and handling of the yacht. Most bareboat yachts can accommodate up to 10 or 12 persons. The "per person" cost of a bareboat charter is usually at or below the cost of a resort vacation, without the crowds!
The Greek Authorities require a minimum of one sailing license/certification and one experienced crew member as co-skipper for bareboat charters. Typically, ASA & RYA Certifications are recognised but Day Skipper certificates (and/or those facing nautical miles’ restrictions) may sometimes be rejected by Port Authorities. To be on the safe side, please contact us so we can evaluate your license and let you know if you’re good to go!
Please note that you will be required to have your original sailing license at the charter base upon embarkation for checks performed on the spot by the Port Authorities. You should also have a copy of your license for Istion records and to ensure there are no problems if license is somehow misplaced during your holiday!
That depends on you! Istion's experts are always happy to recommend the best choice for your needs. Your sailing holiday can be tailored to fit your party and your preferences. Usually, details such as how many people are you are sailing with and if there are couples traveling together or single guests who require private cabins will determine the type and size of boat we recommend. Each yacht is registered for a maximum number of people on board. We have a wide selection of yachts suitable for smaller and larger groups, simply contact us for our recommendations based on how many people will be in your party!
Please note that regardless of the yacht’s size, the number of passengers allowed must not exceed 12. A pleasure craft in Greece that carries more than 12 people is considered a ‘passenger ship’ and must comply with different safety regulations which are not compatible with bareboat charters.
Our bareboat charters are usually offered Saturday to Saturday. Depending on the yacht’s booking plan however, there may be a chance we could accommodate other embarking/disembarking dates, so feel free to ask!
Our bareboat charters start on Saturday at 17:00. In some cases a fast track process is available for an additional fee. If it is available, fast tracking allows you to check in at 14:00. If you wish to start your charter earlier than 17:00 please notify us so we can advise on availability.
Charters end on Saturday at 09:00 (disembarkation from the boat). You will need to be back at your designated finishing base by Friday at 18:00.
The price includes the use of the yacht and its equipment (as per each yacht's inventory list), marine insurance, all taxes & currently applicable VAT. The price does not include any running expenses necessary for operating the yacht (i.e. fuel, fresh water consumption, travel insurance, trip cancellation or curtailment insurance, food and drinks, port fees if any, etc.) nor any of your personal expenses.
All of our charter bases throughout Greece are located at main marinas or ports that have nearby shops where you can find everything you need. Upon your arrival, our base staff will advise you on the nearest supermarket for provisioning in the local area. Alternatively you may ask us for our provisioning list in which you can specify the supplies and quantities you require and we can arrange for delivery to your yacht so you are ready to set sail as soon as possible!
The key for sailing charters is simplicity and a minimum of unneeded extras. Casual and breezy beach attire is certainly the order of the day on deck, though for evenings ashore, slacks or a sundress are more appropriate. Rubber soled shoes as opposed to hard soles are recommended aboard our yachts, so bring boat shoes or tennis shoes. For cool or windy evenings, a windbreaker comes in handy and depending on the time of year you are sailing a long sleeved shirt or two just in case you feel chilly is a good idea.
Above all, protection from the sun is vital – lots of suntan lotion, wide-brimmed hats or sailing caps, and loose-fitting cotton cover-ups. Don't forget to pack it all in soft-shell baggage for easy onboard storage.
During check-in, you will meet our base team who will conduct the yacht familiarisation briefing and join you in thoroughly inspecting the yacht so as to have an overview on all the yacht's systems and safety equipment on board. Our base team will also go over any details of your planned route with you and advise you on expected weather conditions during your charter.
Check-out is similar in the sense that here too our base staff will inspect the yacht and you will sign the handover papers. This is also a good time for you to share your feedback and any comments you may have regarding the yacht & your overall sailing experience.
For any technical issue on board, you may call our Base Manager (contact details provided in our Base Information file) and he will immediately advise you. Furthermore, our technical team operates on a 24/7 basis in order to provide our clients with quick & professional assistance whenever and wherever needed.
Kindly be advised that all our yachts are comprehensively insured against damage to the hull, machinery and/or equipment including third party cover, beyond a deductible excess figure, which is boat’s security deposit.
The security deposit is a refundable deposit used to cover the insurance deductible of any ONE insurable event (damage or loss). This means that should an incident occur, in order to be covered against a 2nd incident, the charterer must replenish the security deposit to the initial amount.
The value of the security deposit varies depending on the size of the yacht or catamaran you are renting. If no insurable event occurs during your sailing holiday, the deposit is returned.
The security deposit covers damage per insurable event that will be covered by the amount of the refundable figure (i.e. EUR 3000 for a Lagoon 42) even if the cost for the damage is higher.
The only possibility of exceeding the refundable figure is with the loss or damage of the auxiliary equipment of the vessel, such as damage or loss of the outboard motor or dinghy. For such, you (the client) would need to cover the cost of the reparation and/or replacement of the auxiliary equipment in full.
For skippered charters, If the damage is caused by the skipper, then the skipper is responsible, on the other hand you (the customer) are responsible for your actions and any damage caused by your actions onboard.
Yes! When chartering with Istion Yachting we offer the option to reduce the boat’s security deposit by choosing the security reduction which consists of two figures (amounts depend on yacht’s size as per our Bareboat Price List). SECURITY REDUCTION (NON-REFUNDABLE & REFUNDABLE FIGURES)
Security Deposit reduction: • Yachts up to 44 ft: €300/week plus refundable security deposit €500 • Yachts from 45 ft and up to 50 ft: €350 / week plus refundable security deposit €600 • Yachts from 51 ft up to 54 ft: €400/week plus refundable deposit €700 • Yachts from 55 ft: €500/week plus refundable deposit €1.000 • All catamarans up to 41 ft: €400/week plus refundable deposit €700 • All catamarans from 42 ft & up to 45 ft: €500/week plus refundable deposit €800 • All catamarans from 46 ft: €600/week plus refundable deposit €1.000
The security deposit reduction is mandatory in case of a skippered charter. For all skippered charters: €350 plus refundable security deposit €700. Not available for regattas & races.
For any technical issue on board, you may call our Base Manager (contact details provided in our Base Information file available during check-in) and he will immediately advise you. Furthermore, our technical team operates on a 24/7 basis in order to provide our clients with quick & professional assistance when needed.

Exploring the Ionian Islands from Lefkada
Embarking on a yacht charter from Lefkada opens up a world of exploration in the enchanting Ionian Islands. With two charters at our disposal, we set sail to uncover the treasures of this picturesque archipelago.
Our first journey leads us southward towards the mythical island of Ithaca. Departing from Lefkada's marina, we navigated through the Ionian Sea, guided by gentle winds and clear skies. Ithaca welcomed us with its serene anchorages and verdant landscapes, evoking the timeless tales of Homer's Odyssey. We indulged in secluded coves, such as Frikes and Kioni, where the turquoise waters beckoned for a refreshing swim. Exploring the island's rugged coastline, we marveled at the breathtaking views and discovered hidden caves along the shore. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we found solace in Ithaca's tranquil bays, savoring the peaceful ambiance under the starlit sky.
Eager for further exploration, our second charter took us to the captivating islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. Setting sail from Lefkada once again, we journeyed westward, greeted by the gentle breeze and the shimmering expanse of the Ionian Sea. Paxos enchanted us with its emerald landscapes and charming villages, such as Gaios and Lakka, where colorful houses dotted the coastline. Anchoring in secluded bays, such as Mongonissi and Voutoumi, we reveled in the serenity of our surroundings, surrounded by crystalline waters and lush vegetation. Venturing ashore, we sampled local delicacies in traditional tavernas and explored the island's hidden gems, from ancient olive groves to picturesque sea caves. As our charter drew to a close, we bid farewell to Paxos and Antipaxos, filled with memories of their beauty and tranquility.
In conclusion, sailing from Lefkada offers a gateway to the mesmerizing wonders of the Ionian Islands. With each charter, we immersed ourselves in the region's natural splendor, discovering secluded coves, charming villages, and captivating landscapes along the way. Our adventures in the Ionian Sea will forever remain etched in our hearts, a testament to the timeless allure of Greece's island paradise.

The global authority in superyachting
As the Mediterranean yachting season winds down and autumn approaches, BOAT catches up with leading charter brokerage firm Moravia Yachting to explore the current market landscape and highlight some of the finest yachts available.
With coastlines spanning thousands of kilometres, bustling towns, secluded coves and centuries of fascinating history, the Mediterranean is arguably one of the most popular yacht charter destinations. According to Moravia, this year’s charter season has been particularly successful. “Our savvy clients, as always, secured their 2024 bookings back in 2023, allowing them to lock in 2023 rates and select their ideal yacht from a tailored shortlist,” explains William Molloy, head of retail charter at Moravia.
“The second quarter of 2024 was quiet for a couple of months, but fortunately, last-minute bookings picked up in June and July, possibly due to poor European weather,” charter broker Roy Posthuma notes. But despite the slow start to the season, Molloy noted a significant surge in activity following the yacht shows at the start of the season, leading to what has become Moravia's “best year yet” so far.
There's still time to experience the Mediterranean's beauty this summer with Moravia's exceptional fleet. Highlights include the 85.6-metre, five-deck HBC and the 85.3-metre explorer yacht Bold . For art enthusiasts, the 78.4-metre Amaryllis , available in the South of France and Corsica, features award-winning interior décor by Reymond Langton. Alternatively, the 47.4-metre sloop Hyperion is perfect for those looking to fulfil their summer sailing fantasies.
But west isn’t always best when it comes to yachting in the Mediterranean. Brimming with untouched hidden gems, the eastern Mediterranean has rapidly gained popularity in recent years, with its picture-perfect beaches, sparkling turquoise waters and abundant yachting amenities. Moravia boasts a rare gem available to charter across the region that can accommodate 36 guests, the 106.5-metre Dream . Alternatively, the 42.6-metre tri-deck Lady I excels, with availability in Greece, Turkey and the undiscovered bays of Albania and a crew of nine comprising a masseuse, manicurist, fisherman and singer, all of whom collectively speak five languages.
As the Mediterranean season draws to a close, Moravia presents a wealth of autumn options in the Caribbean and the Bahamas, with thousands of kilometres of stunning coastline. “I already have clients discussing winter charters in the Caribbean, as well as those planning for next year in the familiar Mediterranean spots,” says Posthuma. “Some clients seek something new or more remote, like French Polynesia.”
In the Caribbean and the Bahamas, Moravia offers the 65-metre Codecasa, Eternity , ideal for active charter guests with its sundeck gym and extensive selection of water toys. For a more intimate experience, Nauta Yachts’ 23.9-metre sailing yacht Mindfulness is perfect for island-hopping and provides a cosy getaway for a party of six.
While Moravia anticipates a busy autumn and winter season, some brokers have noticed a shift in client behaviour. “Interest remains strong, but many clients are taking more time to commit,” notes charter broker Lea Tintaud-Abbas. “This trend reflects the careful consideration clients are giving to their plans, as they focus on securing the perfect experience that aligns with their desires and offers the best value.”
Moravia has expanded its offerings to meet these evolving preferences, including exclusive itineraries catering to a wide range of interests - from gourmet culinary experiences with onboard chefs to exciting water sports and island-hopping adventures. “We have also invested in sustainability initiatives,” Tintaud-Abbas adds, “ensuring that our charters not only deliver luxury but also minimise environmental impact, in line with the growing demand for eco-conscious travel.”
Moravia works closely with each client to create a bespoke charter itinerary tailored to their every need. Whether it's fulfilling a lifelong dream of exploring a wreck 200 metres below the surface in a submersible or diving with whale sharks off the coast of Tanzania, Moravia goes above and beyond to ensure that each yacht charter is everything the client envisioned. The team of brokers, who come from backgrounds in yachting and high-end corporate hospitality, are driven by their passion to deliver exceptional service.
“With the support of the Hill Robinson Group, which operates in 12 locations worldwide, there’s truly no challenge in the yachting world that we can't overcome,” says Molloy.

Big brother 26 week 6 power of veto results (spoilers), 90 day fiancé's loren brovarnik exposes behind-the-scenes tell all drama about thaís ramone & sophie sierra.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 is highly anticipated, but its fate isn't promising after Gary King 's sexual misconduct scandal was revealed. Captain Glenn Shephard leads the cast of the exciting spin-off aboard the Parsifal III, with Gary, Colin Macrae, and Daisy Kelliher's love triangle as the pinnacle of season 4's drama. However, after Gary's sexual misconduct allegations were revealed and later brushed under the rug by Bravo producers, the popular franchise staple could be in danger. Will Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 return?
During Below Deck Sailing Yacht filming in the summer of 2022, makeup artist Samantha Suarez escorted cast members back and forth for confessional interviews, including Gary. After a talking head in which Gary was visibly intoxicated, Samantha walked him back to his quarters, at which time Gary prevented her from leaving, even grabbing her from behind. While Bravo issued a statement, the allegations were barely addressed, and Gary still allegedly filmed Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5.
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
Gary needs to go.
Gary's sexual misconduct scandal has put a permanent stain on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . He's openly struggled with professionalism and alcohol on the show for years. Additionally, this isn't the first time alcohol has gotten Gary in trouble with sexual harassment. While Daisy came to his defense, his love triangle with Daisy and Colin was also problematic, with Gary becoming distracted by the Below Deck drama. By casting Gary in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, Bravo indicated that sexual misconduct wasn't taken seriously by the network .
The series is in trouble.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has allegedly already been filmed, with rumors swirling that Gary's scandal has halted its release. Given his prominence in the series, it would be difficult to edit Gary out of the show or even reduce his role. Therefore, it would be better for Bravo to scrap the current season entirely and film a new charter season for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 .
It's the responsibility of Bravo producers to ensure the safety of the cast and crew during filming, and Samantha wasn't adequately protected from Gary's advances.
The cast and crew would need to bring it to revitalize the spin-off, or it's going to get canceled. Below Deck , Below Deck Mediterranean , and Below Deck Down Under are successful enough to continue without Below Deck Sailing Yacht . The popular cast members could go to another Below Deck series.
They need to get rid of gary.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht is a sinking ship , but not all hope is lost. Bravo producers have already shown their understanding of the seriousness of Gary's sexual misconduct by disinviting him to BravoCon in 2023. However, they need to further distance themselves from Gary and fire him from future seasons. If it's impossible to decrease his presence in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, the season needs to be scrapped. Only then can Below Deck Sailing Yacht return in good faith and conscience for another installment.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht is available to stream on Peacock.
Not available
Below Deck Sailing Yacht is a spin-off of the Below Deck reality television series. Premiering on Bravo, the show follows the life of a Yacht crew as they attempt to navigate a busy Charter season in which many customers make use of a 177-foot sailing yacht. Over the first three seasons, the yacht has been to Greece, Croatia, and Spain.
A re you dreaming of gliding through the crystal-clear waters under the endless blue sky? Do you crave the freedom of charting your course across the open sea, with the only sound being the gentle slap of waves against your yacht's hull? If your soul yearns for the ultimate adventure on the waters, then a yacht charter service could be your beacon in the night.
It's not just the rich and famous who charter yachts anymore. The popularity of yacht rental Dubai has soared as more people seek to escape to the seas for a vacation that's a cut above the rest. But with the plethora of options available, choosing the right yacht charter service can seem as daunting as navigating the high seas in a storm. Fear not, as this ultimate guide will steer you towards selecting the yacht charter service that perfectly suits your needs and dreams.
Before you set sail, it's important to understand what yacht charter services are and the unique experiences they offer. A yacht charter is essentially renting a yacht for a period, along with its crew if you opt for a crewed charter, to explore your chosen waters.
From the Caribbean to the Mediterranean, and the Pacific to the Indian Ocean, yacht charters can take you virtually anywhere there's water. You can choose to relax and enjoy the pampering of a luxury yacht, or you might prefer the challenge of captaining your own course on a smaller, bareboat charter.
Yacht charters come in various flavors, each tailored to different tastes and levels of experience.
The purest form of sailing freedom, bareboat charters, are for seasoned sailors who want to be the masters of their destiny. You'll be responsible for the yacht's navigation, steering, and safety, and must possess sufficient experience and qualifications.
If you fancy a hands-free vacation where all you need to do is relax, eat, and explore, a crewed charter is for you. You can choose the level of service with a crewed charter, from a skippered yacht where the captain takes the helm, to a fully crewed luxury liner with chefs and waitstaff to cater to your every whim.
For the ultimate indulgence, luxury charters offer opulent accommodations, fine dining, and a service level that rivals the best hotels. These charters often include amenities like on-board spas, private beaches, and a fleet of water toys to play with. A dinner cruise Dubai offers an unforgettable evening of gourmet dining, unparalleled views of the illuminated skyline, and a unique perspective of the city's architectural marvels from the tranquil waters.
When you're ready to book a yacht charter, it's vital to consider the following factors to ensure you select the right service for your needs.
Your budget will largely dictate the type of yacht charter available to you. Remember to consider all costs, including the charter fee, fuel, mooring fees, food, and any extra activities or services you might want to include.
Where you want to sail is a significant decision. It could be a serene bay in the Mediterranean, a bustling port in the Caribbean, or a remote island in the South Pacific. Consider the season, too—some regions are best visited during specific months to enjoy the most favorable weather.
Consider the number of people in your party and the type of experience you're after. Do you want a sailing yacht or a powerboat? How many cabins will you need? A spacious catamaran might be perfect for larger groups, while a sleek monohull might be more fitting for a romantic escape.
The expertise and personality of the crew can make or break your charter experience. Research the charter company you're considering to ensure they employ skilled and congenial staff.
The world is your oyster when it comes to yacht charters, and here are some of the top destinations that entice sea lovers from all corners of the globe.
The Whitsunday Islands in Australia offer a breathtaking array of coral reefs, white sandy beaches, and clear turquoise waters—paradise on Earth.
The Caribbean has long been a favorite for yacht charters, with its myriad islands offering something for everyone, from the festive lifestyle of Saint Tropez to the tranquility of the British Virgin Islands.
Sailing the Mediterranean promises a blend of history, culture, and luxury. You can hop between the ancient ports of Greece, the chic French Riviera, and the rugged coastline of Croatia.
With your yacht charter booked and your destination selected, the final step is preparation. Here are some tips to ensure you're ready for the adventure of a lifetime.
While spontaneity has its charms, having a rough itinerary will optimize your time and ensure you don't miss out on any must-see spots or events in your chosen destination.
Space is precious on a yacht, so pack light, and pack right. Comfortable, practical clothing and footwear are a must, along with essentials like sunscreen, hats, and gear for water activities.
Familiarize yourself and your party with the sailing regulations of your destination. This will ensure a safe and legal voyage and help prevent any unexpected surprises.
By meticulously going through the selection process and diligently preparing for your voyage, you can turn your yacht charter into the adventure of a lifetime. Whether you're seeking the solitude of the open sea, the serenity of a remote island, or the sophistication of a coastal city, the right yacht charter is waiting to whisk you away to your watery dreams. Bon voyage!

Police divers resumed searching Tuesday for six people believed trapped in the hull of a superyacht that sank in deep seas off Sicily, including a British tech magnate who was celebrating his recent acquittal on fraud charges with the people who had defended him at trial.
Civil protection officials said they believed the Bayesian, a 184-foot British-flagged yacht, had been struck by a tornado over the water. The ship had been moored about a half-mile offshore off Porticello near Palermo when a storm rolled and the vessel sank at about 5 a.m. local time on Monday .
Grainy film from closed-circuit cameras from shore, broadcast on the website of the Giornale di Sicilia, showed the majestic, illuminated 246-foot mast of the Bayesian weathering the storm and then disappearing over the course of a minute.
Fifteen of the 22 people aboard survived, including a mother who reported holding her 1-year-old baby over the waves to save her. One body was recovered, identified by officials as the Antiguan-born on-board chef. The rest of the 10-person crew survived, including the captain whom prosecutors reportedly sought to interview.
However, CBS News senior weather producer David Parkinson said Tuesday that it's still too early to determine whether the yacht was hit by a waterspout or a downburst. A waterspout is a meteorological term for a tornado over water, while a downburst consists of powerful winds that descend from a thunderstorm and can often be misinterpreted as a tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
As of now, Parkinson said, it's only safe to say that the yacht was impacted by a severe thunderstorm. Based on satellite imagery, there were strong to violent thunderstorms in the area where the yacht sank, Parkinson said.
That said, early Monday morning conditions were appropriate for either the development of a waterspout or a downburst, Parkinson explained. At around 4 a.m. local time Monday, the winds spiked, with wind gusts above 43 mph in Palermo. About 10 minutes later in the town of Aspra — which is 20 miles from Palermo and three to four miles west of where the boat sank — wind gusts of 51 mph were recorded, and the thunderstorms appeared to intensify as they moved east.
In cases of downbursts, when wind hits the water's surface, it increases the wind speed, Parkinson said. While at the time the boat sank, water temperatures were 84 degrees Fahrenheit, which would be warm enough to support the development of a waterspout, Parkinson said.
"It's a great, great tragedy," said Britain's ambassador to Italy, Edward Llewellyn, who visited Porticello on Tuesday. Britain sent four investigators to the scene, given the disaster involved a British-flagged ship and British citizens were among the missing.
Fire rescue officials have said the six other passengers will be considered missing until they are located in the wreckage. They include tycoon Mike Lynch , who was once hailed as Britain's king of technology and was cleared in June of fraud and conspiracy charges in a U.S. federal trial related to Hewlett Packard's $11 billion takeover of his company, Autonomy Corp.
Also unaccounted for are Christopher Morvillo, one of Lynch's lawyers, and Jonathan Bloomer, a chairman at Morgan Stanley International and the former head of the Autonomy audit committee who testified in Lynch's defense.
The wreckage of the luxury craft is some 164 feet underwater — far deeper than most recreational divers are certified for and a depth that requires special precautions. Recovery crews could only stay for 12-minute shifts, a measure that slowed their efforts to reach the cramped inside of the wreck.
Karsten Borner, the captain of the Sir Robert Baden Powell, which rescued the 15 survivors who managed to get into a lifeboat, said he was close enough to be able to see the Bayesian as the storm came in.
"A moment later, she was gone," he said. "They said they went flat on the water and were sunk in two minutes," Borner added, quoting the survivors.
The rotating search teams, each made up of two specialized cave divers, worked Tuesday to open up access points to get inside the wreck. They were using a remote-controlled underwater vehicle, or ROV, to help in the search.
The divers hadn't been able to access the below-deck cabins because they were blocked by furniture that had shifted during the violent storm. Rescue crews said they assume the missing six are in those cabins because the storm struck when most would be sleeping, but the teams haven't verified their presence there through portholes.
Luca Cari, a spokesman for the rescue teams, said the search was proceeding much more slowly than another big shipwreck in Italy, the 2012 Costa Concordia cruise ship that flipped on its side off Tuscany's coast, because of the depth of the wreck and the limited space divers have to maneuver.
"That was much simpler. Here everything is more tight," he said.
The outing was intended at least in part as a celebration of Lynch's acquittal and a "looking forward to what was coming next," said Reid Weingarten, a Washington attorney and a member of Lynch's defense team who was not on the yacht.
"A lot of people went, a lot of people were planning to go and then of course this happened," Weingarten said.
Some of the people who stood by Lynch throughout the ordeal were on board, including Morvillo, the lawyer, who Weingarten worked with and said "was like a brother."
Morvillo's wife, Neda, is also missing, according to his law firm Clifford Chance.
Aki Hussain, CEO of international insurer Hiscox Group, where Bloomer, the witness, was chairman, said the company was "deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic event."
"Our thoughts are with all those affected, in particular our Chair, Jonathan Bloomer, and his wife Judy, who are among the missing, and with their family as they await further news from this terrible situation," he added.
Among the survivors, the Emslie family was released from Palermo's pediatric hospital on Tuesday where little Sofia had been kept overnight after her rescue. Her mother, Charlotte Golunski, had reported that she momentarily lost hold of the 1-year-old in the water but then managed to hold her up over the waves until a lifeboat inflated and they were both pulled to safety, doctors said.
The father, identified by ANSA news agency as James Emslie, also survived.
"They don't talk much, primarily because they consider themselves survivors and they don't understand why they survived given what they went through," said Dr. Domenico Cipolla, head of the emergency room at Di Cristina Pediatric Hospital.
Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Cipolla said Golunski had reported that she and the baby were sleeping in the cabin and suddenly found themselves in the water, where they also found Emslie who had been in a different part of the ship. Cipolla said the parents had been in touch with other survivors, who are being housed at a nearby hotel and were waiting for other family members to arrive in Sicily.
The baby slept well overnight and all were released after final checks Tuesday morning, he said according to a videotaped interview posted on Palermo Today, adding that psychologists had been made available.
Among the other survivors was Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares. Hannah Lynch, reportedly the couple's 18-year-old daughter, is among the missing.
The yacht's registered owner is listed as Revtom Ltd., according to online maritime database Equasis. Bacares is listed as Revtom's sole owner, according to corporate registration documents from the Isle of Man.
Its name, Bayesian, may be a reference to "Bayesian Inference," one of the two main approaches to statistical machine learning and the one that was used by Lynch's company.
The yacht, built in 2008 by the Italian firm Perini Navi, was carrying 12 passengers and 10 crew. According to online charter companies, it had been available for charter for about $215,000 a week and was notable for its massive aluminum mast, one of the tallest in the world.
The coast guard said to date there was no trace of fuel leaks from the wreckage.
In an unrelated event, Lynch's co-defendant in the Autonomy trial who was also cleared, Stephen Chamberlain, was killed Sunday when he was hit by a car while running in Cambridgeshire, England, said Chamberlain's lawyer, Gary Lincenberg.
