Full Description

This stunning XC45 is in a transferrable LLC. She has a large sail inventory with light air sails as well as storm sails. In 2022 she was outfitted with a new main sail as well as a boom furler for easy reefing. The owners selected her as a fast and safe long-range cruiser, and she has been optimized to achieve that goal. Many custom rigging modifications have been performed and all conceivable safety items have been added. Additionally, an optional fuel tank was installed during construction such that total fuel capacity is 163 gal. 

She has all available electronics, including radar, AIS, ICOM VHF 605, EPIRB, man overboard monitoring and recovery, and much more. A six-person Viking Ocean Pro self-righting life raft is also included. The finest anchor available, the Ultra, was selected and is attached to 200ft of 3/8" chain, which in turn is backed by 100 ft of 5/8" 3-strand. 

Additionally, she boasts a full bimini that covers the entire cockpit, a dodger upgraded with isinglass, and sliding boom/sail cover which is easily deployed at the mast. Her three-stateroom, two-head interior layout is spacious, bright, and comfortable. This beauty will outperform every comparably sized cruising vessel on the market. Owner's comments: She has been professional maintained, has always sailed in the coastal waters of the Aegean sea by her owners, and has never been raced in a regatta. When X2O was launched in 2015, she boasted very high cruising specifications, with 185k Euros in optional extras fitted over the standard specifications.

In 2022, her new owners invested an additional 70k worth of upgrades.

Why This Boat Is Better Than New

X YACHTS QUALITY If you're in the market for a top-of-the-line sailboat, you might be considering purchasing a brand new X-Yachts XC45. While there's certainly something to be said for owning a brand new boat straight from the factory, there are some compelling reasons to consider purchasing a gently used XC45 instead. Much care and attention has been put into every XYachts produced in their factory in Denmark. In fact, very few boat builders have this level of attention to detail! The devil lies in the details, and that is why these boats are made to LAST generations. When properly maintained and used, XYachts maintain incredible value over time. BRISTOL CONDITION Outside, the hull underwent weeks of sanding and buffing in Spring 2022. A new polymer coating has been applied to give it that showroom gloss we love. It looks so good everyone that stopped by our boat thought it was new. The teak deck caulking has also been completely redone in 2022, restoring its natural beauty and providing a durable, non-slip surface that's perfect for sailing in any weather. The interior is in extremely good condition, with new cushions and upholstery throughout. All of the sails are new from 2022, a 40,000 euros expense. They work perfectly, they are fast and durable, and they are the ideal choice for this sporty cruiser. The Yanmar 4JH8 engine has only 1015 hours on it, and it could easily last another 25 years before it's due for a rebuild. Assuming the engine is properly maintained and serviced according to the manufacturer's recommendations, it is not uncommon for a Yanmar 4JH8 engine to last for well over 10,000 hours. Some owners have reported their engines lasting up to 20,000 hours or more. The Fisher Panda Generator has 358 hours, and will also last many years before it needs major work. The Water maker Feed pump has been replaced in 2022, along with the membranes and filters. The Air conditioning has been serviced by a technician, and should also last many years without major problems. SAVE MONEY Purchasing a slightly used XC45 will save you a significant amount of money compared to buying a brand new one. The XC45 is a high-end boat, and a new one can easily cost near 1M US dollars with all the options you want. By purchasing a used boat, you can often get a nearly identical boat at a much lower price point. SAVE TIME Secondly, purchasing a used XC45 can save you time and hassle compared to buying a new one. When you purchase a new boat, you'll likely have to go through a lengthy process of customizing the boat to your specifications, waiting for it to be built and delivered (currently over 2 years waiting lists), and then commissioning it before it's ready to sail. When you purchase a used boat, all of that work has already been done for you, and the boat is ready to sail as soon as you take ownership. UPGRADES AND CUSTOMIZATIONS Furthermore, a used XC45 may have already had some upgrades or customizations done that you would have had to pay extra for if you purchased a new boat. For example, the previous owner may have added a custom navigation system or upgraded the sails, which can save you both time and money. In the case of X2O, she had almost never been sailed until 2021, and she then underwent a number of improvements and upgrades in 2022. The rig has been re-tuned in 2022 according to John Mast Specifications, to ensure optimal performance in every condition. FIXED QUIRKS AND ISSUES Another benefit of purchasing a used XC45 is that you'll have the opportunity to learn about any quirks or issues with the boat from the previous owner. Every boat is unique, and by purchasing a used boat, you'll have the opportunity to learn about any idiosyncrasies or areas that require special attention. This can be incredibly valuable information, as it can help you avoid surprises and better care for your boat over the long term. Rossinavi to premiere 43m Seawolf X at Monaco Yacht Show 2024

Rossinavi has announced that it will be premiering its "most innovative project" to date, Seawolf X , at this year's Monaco Yacht Show . The 42.8-metre hybrid-electric catamaran was delivered in August 2024 and is now cruising the Saronic Islands in Greece, according to BOATPro .

Exterior design is by Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design , marking the first project presented by the pair since the 49.1-metre Aurora in 2017. It also marks Rossinavi's first multihull project.

A key characteristic of the model is her three "performance scenarios". On one-day trips, Seawolf X can cruise in full-electric mode for 100 per cent of the time; on multi-day trips, she can cruise for 90 per cent; and on transatlantic trips, she can still cruise in electric mode for 80 per cent of the time. When the catamaran is moored, a "hibernation mode" activates for reduced consumption – with the energy generated able to be given back to the quay or to a private property. She can recharge at the shore in five hours and supplies enough energy to charge up an entire villa.

Rossinavi has also developed an onboard artificial intelligence system, called Rossinavi AI, to analyse the operation of the vessel, predict the needs of guests and communicate with the crew on "lower-impact behaviours" and "conscious cruising". The AI can also monitor the battery pack to keep it in a range of 20 to 80 per cent.

Her exterior is low-profiled and reminiscent of a sports car, with Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design seeking "to liberate their minds from preconceptions" around catamaran design. The team also integrated solar panels into Seawolf X and addressed hull efficiency by developing "lightweight solutions", including an anchor installation that meets weight standards while enhancing aesthetics.

New York-based design firm Meyer Davis have created an interior that "complements the cutting-edge yacht to bring relaxed luxury and sustainable design to its forefront," the shipyard said. The decor takes inspiration from nature, in particular the sun, the sea and sand.

Leisure highlights include a convivial cockpit centred around a pool, an expansive sundeck with sunbathing and living spaces, and a bow area that features a hidden pool and convertible home theatre. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in four cabins located in the hulls.

"After years of study and construction, it is now a source of satisfaction and pride for us to witness the launch of project Sea Cat, now Seawolf X , the first hybrid-electric multihull vessel," said Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi at the time. "This yacht showcases remarkable technological innovations in both power management and propulsion technologies, marking the beginning of a new chapter in next-generation vessels." 

Seawolf X also carries the BlUE label, the shipyard' "sustainable" design philosophy established in 2022. Inspired by phytoplankton, the BlUE fleet absorbs sunlight during the day and utilises photovoltaic technology to convert it into energy. This energy is stored in advanced batteries and released at night, creating a bioluminescent effect "akin to glowing plankton".

Seawolf X is available for charter with Cecil Wright from €380,000 per week.

Search continues for boater who fell into Ohio River

GALLATIN COUNTY, Ky. (WXIX) - A search is ongoing for a man in his late 40s who fell from his boat into the Ohio River and never resurfaced.

It was reported at 2:50 a.m. Monday near Paint Lick Road in Warsaw, according to a news release from Gallatin County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).

The man and some of his friends were returning from pleasure boating unrelated to Riverfest. He was sitting on his boat when he stood up and fell into the water, according to the release.

Other people aboard the boat went into the water and tried to find him, to no avail.

First responders including Gallatin County EMA Director Brandon Terrell began search operations around 3 a.m.

“We had our boat in the water probably about 3 a.m. and we’ve been actively searching the entire time,” Terrell explained.

Authorities know the man’s identity but have not released it pending notification of next of kin.

This remains a very active search now involving multiple agencies: Gallatin County Fire Department, Gallatin County EMA, Gallatin County EMS, Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, Warsaw Police Department, Boone County EMA, Boone County Water Rescue, Jeff-Craig Fire Department, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, and Air Methods-Bedford.

“Hopefully we can locate him and get him out for closure for the family,” Terrell said.

Those on boats going through the area are asked to move through at idle speed while the search is happening.

If the man is not found by the time the sun sets Monday, crews will suspend the search until Tuesday, according to Terrell.
