He drove us to the 3 best sights in BVI that we wanted to see, including Sandy Cay, Jost Van Dyke and The Baths. Malcolm was a fantastic host and tailored the trip to our needs, ensuring that we were all safe when swimming to shore at Sandy Cay and Jost Van Dyk, and recommending that we don’t swim into the baths due to the danger for our children and elderly mother. Drinks were provided. It was definitely the highlight of our 4 week trip to the US and Caribbean.

“Great day on the water !!”

We had a great day with Malcolm! We were on a cruise that stopped Road Town, Tortola, BVI. We met Malcolm shortly after exiting the ship. His boat was docked very close to the port a very short walk. We were quickly on his boat and on our way. There was 8 of us 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Malcolm took us to a number of great snorkeling spots. The Caves, the Indians were great spots. He provided the equipment and had plenty for us to drink. We swam at our leisure and the moved on. Probably my favorite part of the day was stopping at the island of Just Von Dyke. There are no docks so the boat anchors and you wade in. The Soggy Dollar bar is there.

Our Power Boat – NautiGal

Our Novurania 31 Chase was specifically designed as a bespoke luxury mega yacht tender. Where most powerboats that engage in day trips are designed to take 4 to 6 people, the Novurania 31 Chase is suitably appointed to transport 12 people at speed whilst offering luxury and comfort. Perfect for the relatively short distances between our islands. To cater to our guests needs there is copious room for snorkel equipment and cooler box. There is also a small toilet, wash hand basin and shower to meet the unexpected needs or privacy for changing.

THE CAPTAIN

NautiGal is run by our certified Captain who is fully vaccinated and has 35 years’ experience in the BVI, above and below the water.

Phil is an Ex Royal Naval officer who came to the BVI in 1984 on a Square-rigged Sailing Ship. He has Sailed and Powered over 240,000 ocean miles. He is a Dive instructor, Captain, and EMT.

He also has intimate knowledge of all the anchorages, beaches and snorkel spots within the Caribbean.

BVI Boat Tour 4th January 2023

This was by far our favorite excursion! Our kids (20 and 18) had the best time too. The Snorkeling was the most gorgeous we have ever seen. Our daughter said it reminded her of the Great Barrier Reef. Phil bringing us through caves and tunnels made it extra exciting. We stopped at Willy T’s and Pirate Cove so our 5 hrs were packed full of fun. Rosie is efficient with communication and a joy to be around. They are also professional and punctual! Highly recommend!!! Can’t wait to stay on the Island next time and have them show us more!! Thanks for a great day!!

Soggy Dollar & Snorkeling - 14 January 2023

What a great way to spend our time in the BVI! Capt Phil was right on time with pick up and drop off. Boat was clean, cooler was full of refreshments for the day, and Capt. Phil was full of great, fun history of the areas we traveled. Trip was totally customizable by us, and modified several times during our time because we were having a blast! I would, will, use them again next time we’re fortunate to be back in the beautiful BVI’s!  

A definite must!

We had the most incredible day with Captain Phil and Rosie.  They catered to all our needs and were extremely hospitable.  Phil was a hoot and had many stories to tell about the islands amongst other things, and Rosie served the best Painkillers!  We would definitely recommend them for a fun filled day whether you just want to bar hop, or swim and snorkel, we did a bit of both around the Baths, Cooper, Norman Island and the caves, and had a few drinks to finish on the Willy T.  It was the best day of our vacation.    NOV 2022

The 236 Cobia is the perfect runabout for exploring the BVI with tons of seating, storage and shade. With single 250 Yamaha 4-strokes for power, these boats are fast and efficient. Island Time has also expanded its fleet of twin engine Contender center consoles ranging in size from 25’ to 30’. Contender and Cobia are industry leaders in the center console market and Island Time is proud to offer these great boats for bareboat rental and skippered charters. The Cobias and Contenders are built for open seas and can handle almost any kind of weather. To that end, we met our goals. In the past 7 years there have been over 1.2 million visits to the website and over 3 million pages have been viewed. There are over 1,000 pages on the site featuring news posts and detailed listings on all hotels, villas, restaurants and sailing charters located in the BVI. The BVI Government and many business, hotels, villas and sailing charters have all agreed that the site “moved the needle on tourism” after Irma.

The site, however, has run its course. It has served its purpose by bringing visitors and local businesses together to rebuild the tourist industry and it is now time to shut down operations for good.

Most sailors consider December to April as the best time for sailing vacations in BVI. This time of year, offers reliable wind, ideal temperatures around 26C (79F) in average with minimal rainfall. During these months winds blowing from the northeast at around 10-20 knots, providing excellent sailing conditions with calm seas and clear skies.

May to June considered a low season with temperatures rising up to 30C (85F) and increased precipitation.

Horizon 60ft - 2013 (refit 2020)

Yacht description.

Indigo is a Horizon 60 Power cat – modern, elegant and comfortable; the three stateroom layout offers fantastic accommodation for up to six guests.

The master king size stateroom is incredible – located on the upper deck with panoramic windows directly in front of the bed. The ensuite bathroom is huge and features black marble and a surfboard themed shower. The VIP queen cabin also has a great view, closer to the water line and another huge ensuite. The third cabin has twin berths so is perfect for families or single adults. The salon is contemporary with leather seating and low coffee tables and is integrated with the galley.

One of the main features of this yacht is the outside space which starts with an enormous cockpit featuring an elegant dining table and a seating area. The fly bridge is fully shaded and is very impressive with another dining option, a barbeque area and a wet bar.

Words can not describe the joy our family has experienced these last 5 days. What a way to end 2023 and begin a new year, so incredibly grateful for Sean and Bianca. They truly felt like part of the family. The food was perfect. Every detail!! It was presented in such an amazing way. Loren has a photo of every meal, appetizer & snack. She was always so amazed! We really enjoyed the walk to the bubbly pool.

There are few words to describe just everything that spending these days in the company of Bianca and Sean meant, but a lot of deep feelings of gratefulness & happiness felt. We came with a lot of uncertainties given that we had never been on a boat of this size nor on one for such a long time but we leave feeling like we’re conquered these waters. None of this would have been possible without Bianca’s daily fuel. We wish we could really take you home! Bianca, you are so talented.

Every day you never failed to impress us and the kids! We think the key ingredient you used that made everything extra delicious was all the love you put into everything you do! We’ll be daydreaming about your meals for quite some time from that lava cake to those killer gmocchis and Captain Sean! He created the most memorable experiences we will cherish as a family forever. We don’t all live together so being able to come together and feed pigs at a beach, swim with sharks, snorkel at a reef, swim with turtles & do all those water sports together is something.

Best trip ever! don’t have a favorite place only favorite memories. From day one Bianca & Captain Sean were magic! Sean always made sure our teenagers were happy & busy. Bianca’s food is amazing; she could make anything for anybody. Her lava cake, doughnuts, keylime pie.. all deserts one to die for! At first, I thought a 9-day charter would be too long, it was way to short! To see my daughter feed the pigs, turtles, sharks & fish and the happiness it brought to her & the Jet Skies & the smiles it brought to my Son made my heart happy. There are no words that can do justice to the time and experience we have spent here. From the beautiful blue transparent water to the snorkeling in the Thunderball grotto to watersports (including Jet ski mania”), to feeding sharks, turtles and so much more, the amazing breathtaking moments never ended until the time we sadly disembarked! Oh, and the food was just insane!! Every meal was amazing! However, the best of all was Sean and Bianca, and the experience you created for us! I had such a magical time swimming with turtles, snorkeling with Bianca under and through caves filled with colorful fish and petting the most docile and sweet sharks I have ever seen. This experience was such an amazing and eye-opening vacation that I would not imagine doing anywhere else with anyone else. Sean and Bianca did everything in their power to make this trip memorable and spread such contagious laughter throughout the boat; I’m probably leaving with permanent smile likes on my face. Thank you for everything, words can’t express how much we appreciate you in a big way.

We have Bareboated for 30 years and this week was the most amazing trip! Captain Sean is very skilled; Bianca is an excellent chef. Each day was better than the day before. My personal favourite was Warderwick Wells, I walked on the sandbar at low tide and then we snorkelled. I saw a black tip reef shark and a big grouper. I would stay a month if I could!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our trip on the Indigo truly amazing! We have never had such wonderful food on a charter before. Bianca tailored every plate to our picky boys needs!

Sean’s wit and caring made us feel like we were family. We have made truly great friends with Bianca and Sean and hope to see you soon in the next few months in Colorado!!!

Rendezvous diving

If your crewed charter yacht does not offer onboard diving then fear not, rendezvous diving can be arranged.

So what is Rendezvous diving?

A local dive company will pick you up direct from your charter yacht at a pre-determined location and take you for a one- or two-tank dive to experience the BVI below the water. This is an excellent option if only a couple of guests wish to dive or can work equally as well if all your group are interested. If your charter yacht offers minimal onboard diving, then rendezvous diving can also work if you wanted to add a few more dives during your charter.

Rendezvous diving is at additional cost, payable locally. The dive company provides all gear.
