Chimera , 102’ Pilothouse Sloop 

The 102' pilothouse sloop, Chimera, is a development of Fontaine Design Group's successful larger 100'+ pilothouse yachts.  This 31 meter (102 ft) luxury yacht was constructed by Alloy Yachts in 2002. She features an attractive modern yet classically inspired profile, a high volume interior and sleek and powerful sailing lines.

Superyacht CHIMERA is a beautiful yacht that can accommodate up to 7 people on board and has approximately 4 professional crew. 

 In 2008 extra refit work and modernization was in addition finished.

Merle Wood & Associates is pleased to announce that the 125’ (38.1m) Broward CHIMERA yacht sold . Built in 1989 and refit in 2015, CHIMERA offers accommodations for 8 guests in 4 staterooms, as well as crew accommodations for 6.

The CHIMERA yacht sold by Merle Wood & Associates has an extremely large volume for a boat of this size and has been extensively updated recently, making her an ideal yacht for both private or charter use.

Featuring an aluminum hull and superstructure and teak decks , the CHIMERA yacht sold by yacht broker Jarrett Hiebert was the first Broward yacht that was ABS certified, and she is still fully certified today.

CHIMERA’s expansive full-beam main salon has multiple comfortable seating areas with new cream-colored upholstery and a large curved Sony television. The spacious aft deck features a comfortable L-shaped seating area with a dining table and a fully equipped bar.

Aft of the main salon is a dining table that seats eight guests. The table has an automated leaf that allows it to easily convert into a smaller, more intimate table. The area is anchored by built-in cabinets finished in lacquered wood that provide abundant storage for china and linens as well as serve as a buffet station during meals.

Thanks to her galley down layout, CHIMERA has a remarkable full-beam master stateroom forward on the main deck with a king-size bed, vaulted ceiling, comfortable lounge area, dressing table, his and her en suites, and walk-in cedar closet.

To starboard in front of the door to the main salon there is a wine station with wine racks, wine refrigerator, and glass display cabinet. This area also contains a day head.

Curved stairs on the main deck lead down to the lower deck, where there are three elegant guest staterooms. The forward starboard guest stateroom has two twin beds. The port side guest stateroom has a queen bed, hanging lockers, and TV. The VIP stateroom, which is aft, has a king-size bed. All three guest staterooms have en suite bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs.

Forward on the bridge deck is the wheelhouse, which has a grey upholstered seating area, captain’s office, and cabin. Aft of the wheelhouse is the skylounge, which is perfect for relaxing or enjoying a cocktail before a meal thanks to its full bar with barstools, flat-screen TV, and cozy seating area. Further aft, there is both space to soak in the sun as well as an optional awning for those who prefer to be in the shade. Guests can relax in an L-shaped seating area with large table and bar, and there is storage space for a tender and two personal watercraft.

Above on the sun deck is a large seating area with blue-and-white striped upholstery and another space with two lounge chairs with fantastic views of the surroundings. The area previously had a hot tub, and the plumbing and wiring remain intact if someone wished to install one in the future.

CHIMERA is equipped with twin Detroit Diesel engines with 1,400hp each, giving her a cruising speed of 15 knots and a max speed of 17 knots. Her electronics, audiovisual equipment, air conditioning, and other major mechanical systems all were recently replaced.

Skyfall, the last movie of the 007 James Bond movies, is filmed off the coast of South West Turkey, around Bodrum and Fethiye. Daniel Craig as 007 in the finest attire from Tom Ford, with Omega Seamaster watch and Aston Martin DB5 , continues his luxury lifestyle by sailing on beautiful yacht Chimera . Now, exactly that superyacht on which Bond sailed with her girl Severine, played by Berenice Marlohe is on sale for $14.2 million, or on charter for $120,000 per week.

Luxury yacht Regina , dubbed Chimera in the SkyFall, is a 56 meters classical schooner built in Bodrum and launched in 2011 by Pruva Yachting. Superyacht, big enough to to fit 12 guests in 6 luxurious cabins, had to be changed for the movie in just eight days. Salon was turned into Severine’s bedroom, the fabric of the sofa had to be changed to a different colour, as were curtains, sunbeds and sofas on the aft and forward deck, which were reupholstered red. However, Regina boasts everything necessery for the charter’s comfort, such as additionaly 3 guest cabins, spacious deck areas, separate crew quarters, separate dressing room, satellite TV and music systems.

Timmerman Yachts is a Russian builder of quality luxury motor yachts. Based in Moscow, it is owned by a group of Dutch and Russian investors and operates out of Moscow Shipyard. Several noted naval architecture and yacht design firms are involved with Timmerman, including Vripack, Guido de Groot Design, Ginton Naval Architects, Jon Bannenberg Ltd., and Francis Design Ltd.

Founded in 2003, the company was named for 17th century Dutch boat builder Franz Timmerman who brought Dutch boat manufacturing techniques to Russia and co-founded the Russian navy. Timmerman Yachts has more than 1,000 employees working at the Moscow Shipyard.

Timmerman has delivered a number of semi-custom luxury yachts between 26-47 metres in length, including TM26 and Timmerman FD-51, designed by Francis Design Ltd. Other notable Timmerman yachts include Victoria M, Alexandra (now Latitude) and Olsten 125′.

One of the 10 largest yacht builders in the world, Timmerman is focused on building high-quality luxury yachts at more competitive prices. Timmerman Yachts is a large scale Dutch-Russian consortium superyacht building yard who constructs top quality displacement motor yachts. Timmerman superyachts are built at Moscow Shipyard which is the leading Russian partner in the Timmerman Yachts project. Other European Members of the project include some of the leading Dutch naval architects and designers of large displacement yachts such as Vripack , Guido de Groot Design and Ginton Naval Architects . Additionally, Timmerman Yachts enjoys the involvement of leading British designers Jon Bannenberg Ltd and Francis Design Ltd.

The range of semi-custom private yachts currently built by Timmerman Yachts and designed by their European partners includes models ranging from 26 – 47m, namely the TM26, TM33, TM40 and TM47. Other yachts include the Timmerman FD-52 which is a custom build, designed by Francis Design Ltd which provides exceptional hydrodynamics and a long waterline length hull. This allows for striking looks as well as a speed of 18 knots with low fuel consumption. Modern technologies and equipment are used in the construction of all of the luxury yachts produced by Timmerman Yachts.

Timmerman Yachts was founded in 2003 and named after Franz Timmerman (1644-1702) who introduced Dutch boat building methods to Russia in the 17th century. Timmerman is credited with convincing Peter the First of both the importance and the charm of maritime affairs and he was entrusted with the construction of great fleets of both naval and trading vessels. As well as forging links between two Great European Embassies, Franz Timmerman was also able to arrange for Tsar Peter to study at the Amsterdam boat yards where the Tsar got his "Certificate of Timmerman" as ship joiner.

The yachting company continues this very successful Russian-Dutch partnership, with more than 1000 people who studied in Holland now working at Timmerman Yachts at the Moscow Shipyard in Russia. The name of Franz Timmerman, co-founder of the Russian Navy, is honoured in the title of this project. "Our aim is to build the best motor yachts from the point of view of the ratio “price-quality”, combining in them the newest technologies of European yacht-building with reliability of Russian ship-building, having military roots" -  Dmitry Mironenkov, the president of Timmerman Yachts.

Timmerman has  powerful production capabilities, broad experience, exceptional  specialist knowledge, and cooperation with the leading Dutch Naval Architects which enable them to realize the most incredible and daring ideas into their superyacht projects. The consortium enables its client to receive a luxury motor yacht with unlimited range and best consumer qualities, at an attractive price and in reasonable time. Names of the luxury yachts delivered by Timmerman include motor yacht Victoria M (2008), megayacht ALEXANDRA (2008), motor yacht Kitty (2008), New Star , (2006), M/Y Nord Star , (2005), Smile (2004) M/Y Olsten 125' ( 2004), and motor yacht Pallada (2003), Novaya Zvezda (2006).

Timmerman yachts comply with the highest shipbuilding standards: certification and supervision of DNV, MCA, Russian River Register. This kind of approach to certification provides complete compliance of yacht characteristics with international standards and allows a yacht owner to charter his yacht in any part of the world and to sell it without any difficulty.

The consortium allows its client to get a motor yacht with unlimited range and best consumer qualities, with attractive prices and in reasonable time.

At the moment the shipyard is building 17 yachts. According to the length of the yachts Timmerman Yachts is among the ten leading shipyards of the world.

Sunseeker motor yacht Chimera sold

The 34.05 metre Sunseeker motor yacht Chimera , listed for sale by James Auld at SuperYachtsMonaco , has been sold with the buyer introduced by Taras Vynnyuk of Front Yachts.

Chimera was built in GRP by UK yard Sunseeker International and delivered in 2013 as a 115 Sport Yacht, replacing the older Predator model. Chimera has a five-cabin layout for 10 guests with the master suite located on the main deck. Below deck are two doubles, a twin and a further twin that is convertible to a double. All cabins have en-suite bathroom facilities and entertainment centres including television screens.

The luxurious saloon of this yacht for sale has comfortable seating, a bar and an entertainment centre including a 40-inch LCD television screen and a Bose Lifestyle stereo system.

The large aft deck is ideal for al fresco entertaining and dining, with L-shaped settees to port and starboard facing tables on stainless steel pedestals, while the enormous flybridge offers a settee aft along with a bar, table and chairs suitable for relaxed cocktails and dining under the stars.

Continuously upgraded by her current owner, she had a full interior and exterior soft furnishings refit in 2018 and a hull repaint in 2019.

Two mighty MTU 16V 2000 M94 engines mean she has power to spare and give her a range of 1,250 nautical miles.

Chimera was asking €6,500,000.
